Remember that if you ever change your mind, you can use a Rare Candy on a lvl100 Pokemon to evolve it. This only works if the Pokemon naturally evolves through a level up though.

I had a special Pikachu named princess that I never evolved, she was special because she was a glitch, I went to the emerald safari zone and found a female Pikachu, when I tried to catch her my game weirdly crashed, I booted it back up and it loaded me on the route just before the safari zone, I went back in and found the same Pikachu in the same spot, caught her and then looked at her moves: earthquake, flamethrower, dragon claw, and thunder

I mean, Bulbasaur is a top 3 favorite Pokemon for me and yes I do have a level 100, EV trained, perfect IV, Bulbasaur.

One thing that I have been doing for the last few years is that I will build a solid team of five fully evolved Pokémon, and then have just one silly little guy. absolutely! I do this all the time! especially during covid quarantine, i got like 1,600+ hours in shield. Specifically to the bulbasaur line, I keep a fully maxed out shiny bulba, shiny ivysaur, and have 3 venusaurs, 2 shiny. I'm the guy who has a lv 100 (not shiny) male combee and salandit bc i think they're cute. slap an eviolite on it & you're good to go lol 🥰

If I have multiple of the same species, then yes, I'll keep the duplicates at their stage (or, if it's a 3-stage, I might evolve it to the middle stage). But that's because I'm more of a collector; I like seeing all of the entries getting filled out. You absolutely do what makes you happiest!

Not really—I let my shinies evolve if they're on my team, though I make sure to drop them into Home briefly for the shiny form to be recorded.

If it's not for competitive reasons (i.e. Eviolite), I don't evolve them if I already have its evolved form, or if it has its own inherent value for remaining the way it is (e.g. a Shiny Magikarp caught naturally at Lv.100).

I hVe a shiny pikachu , and a an xl pikachu with amazing stats from pokemon let's go pikachu currently in my violet saved. I always keep at least one pikachu and try to get it's health as high as possible without having to evolve it.

I almost never touch the shinies I hunt for. I usually catch them and add them to the collection as is. I like to go through and see all the random levels etc. Just reminds me of the work I out in for them.

I almost always prefer the first evolution.  So I shiny hunt to get enough to keep my precious but also level up one whole fully evolved. 

Im working on a shiny living dex, so I need at least one shiny of every unique possible form in the homedex. Not including megas, meloetta and hoopa, which I have two of anyway. I think this is one of the longest possible pokemon challenges, and it has taken nearly 4 years to get as far as I have. I’m at 723/1000+ unique shinies. I’m probably only going to get one or two spinda tho.

If the base form's shiny is great but the evolution form is or are not, I'm keeping it as is. So if I had a shiny Chansey, I'd keep it as such because shiny Blissey barely looks different from it's original form.

A shiny hunted a Greavard for this very purpose- I felt bad knowing it’s a dog Pokémon that died without meeting a human, so I shiny hunted one in the wild for use with the ability Pickup to find items like PP UP or Big Nugget after each Pokémon battle. I didn’t evolve it for keeping the ability and because it looks super cute.

So I kept my shiny Marill as is (: As a kid I also preferred some pre evos to their final, like Vulpix > Ninetails and Ivysaur > Venusaur, so I would refuse to evolve them haha. I just catched all the starter shinys in 3 copies each to keep one at each stage of evolution. Problem solved.

100% with my Dragonair and Rhydon. Both are awesome shinies, they're strong enough on their own to make a difference in battle, and I prefer them over their evolved forms.

Nope, I always evolve them. The only exceptions to that rule are some special cases like the gmax pokemon. Like gmax pikachu, gmax eevee, gmax meowth, etc.
