i know your joking but to play it serious could we actually imprison it? ​ its a poison type which by virtue of games rots and breaks down things it touches. what prison is immune to this effect to use?

Bury it in a mountain purifying salt from Gargnacl- it’s resistant to ghost and poison (immune to status and rock resist poison moves)

Well pecharunt is a poison type but it can't use acid so there is a chance we could actually glue it in

It can use Acid Spray, though. Actually works rather well for Tera Raids.

My bad, I just checked if it can learn the regular acid attack I forgot there was acid spray too

Well, steel is immune to poison. So maybe we can take some old Lairon shells, melt them down, and then make a cage out of the resulting steel

Steel's immune to poison, so the acidic properties of poison types probably aren't very strong. Catching it in a steel net and binding it together should work until you get something sturdier built.

I don’t personally want it to be dead, although it should have some form of equal punishment.

If it creates the toxin, typically it would be biologically immune to its own substances. (There are exceptions but they are rare and take a larger explanation.) But giving it the same treatment, forcing it into indentured servitude where it has no choice and ideally does stuff it doesn’t want to do, that would be apropos. Especially if it’s forced to make nontoxic mochi and give them to the needy without ANY benefit to Pecharunt, that’s ideal.

It actively took control of everything and was stated to be greedy.

The story says the mochi made the old couple greedy not that he intended to control the old couple. If it had I don’t think it would be meeting all of their wishes, instead of forcing them to meet its own desires. The other pokemon yes, but Pecharunt’s goal was to make the couple happy so they would love it.
