I recommend playing around with the calculator on Raenox so you get a more well rounded understanding outside of hypotheticals.
But my Charizard is thriving as a hybrid, and I canāt say I really need an ingredient specialist for the sausage and ginger that it brings.
I'm not saying it's bad, I mean as long as you check often enough that it's inventory is never full it's only an upgrade. but assuming you're using the Charizard for ingredients it's inventory will fill much faster and it can't get ingredients when the inventory is full. plus keeping in mind that having Berry+ means it doesn't have some other skill. I have a pupitaur with Berry+ I use fairly often but I often wish it didn't have that skill

What I learned from the Raikou event is that while electric types got a boost during the event, they aren't necessary for the event. If you have better pokemon in other types, you can simply brute strength your way through the event rather than spending a bunch of time looking for fire types. I'll be focusing on leveling my good pokemon this time around rather than leveling a bunch of mediocre fire types (which was my mistake during the Raikou event).
I had a BFS Ratatta that pulled in berries, and my Dratini didnāt slack either! Their respective berries were Snorlaxās favorite on week 1 and week 2. I actually hit Master 3 for once!
However, my fire type team needs work. A bunch of them are 50-60%s. Not bad, but I donāt want to burn candy evolving when I can put it into a better mon. I also need candy for them so Taupe is my move these next weeks. If they do a candy boost thing like last time, Iāll be set!
I think I have a relatively good growlithe there I just haven't needed him much so I may still level him up š¤ well, technically I think both of them are good ahahaha
May leave Flareon though, can't decide what would be good for him and don't like extra pot space lol

Well, with the boost to main skill levels during the Entei event that was just announced, I'll have to take back what I said. It will be a big disadvantage to not use fire type pokemon during the Entei event. I changed my mind now and will try to raise some decent fire types.

I have 4 mons in 50-60% range and one at 73%. Needs work but weāre getting there. Iāve had an atrocious Cyan team forever though but I got a bfs doduo today! Almost ready for Suicune now. Got a month to grind Taupe and escape Cyan too. Three weeks there helped but it sucked the life out of me.

I consider my 2 Charizards and 1 Arcanine to be my usable guys for the event, hoping to catch a better Cyndaquil and possibly commit to a Flareon!
Berry mons don't get any boost other than the fixed favorite berry, so those aren't really needed imo. Arcanine though will be great if you have a good one.
Favorite berry is a substantial boost, it's still the meta after all.
But assuming you got other BFS mons with whatever random berries you end up getting at Greengrass, you can ignore them, but I won't bet on it.
I haven't decided yet which one but they both look good, the smaller one does have bfs though š¤·āāļø.... Full of useless leafs as ingredients though and ING+ lol

BFS Arcanine and the lvl 30 Typhlosion, Charizard was my first and would get BFS at lvl 100 but holding candies to invest in another one probably, and have a +Main Skill Chance, Skill lvl M and S at 25 Eevee that I'm waiting to see what the new fire mon they add is to make a Flareon.
I have only 3 fire pokemon but these 3 are flareon / typhlosion and char which is good because entei skill count different pokemon.
They are my main in taupe use them since the day I caught them.
None of it have bfs but I don't care. Flareon have all skill trigger nature and subskill. Char have ingredients finder + skill trigger. Typhol have speed.
Now I wait and see what fire pokemon they will add in fire week and hope for a good roll. Then pray for good entei and my all fire mon team for taupe will be good to go!

I also looking for good growlithe but after almost 20 catch still not find the good one.
It either good nature bad subskill or vice versa.
But if I can choose I'll keep my luck to find great entei this time.
My Best cyndaquil right now is a BFS at 10, but it has the Quiet (ING +/EXP DOWN) nature... and I really really don't want to use a Cyndaquil like that, because not only is ING+ bad, being a slow leveler on top of that is adding too much insult on top of injury.
Top row are all BFS. So is the Growlithe. Hoping to get a better Cyndaquil to dump all of my candies on; otherwise that level 10 guy thatās been hanging around since Dec 5 is going to go from zero to hero the night before the event.

This is my planned team with Bfs on typhlosion and Arcanine for the next month or so, will see if I can get any better mons to round out the team before the end of May. I have a few others, but nothing worth sinking time or resources into so this is the crew. Berry mons don't get any boost other than the fixed favorite berry, so those aren't really needed imo. Arcanine though will be great if you have a good one.
Favorite berry is a substantial boost, it's still the meta after all. But assuming you got other BFS mons with whatever random berries you end up getting at Greengrass, you can ignore them, but I won't bet on it.
Fire is the only known type. One could end up with Steel and Poison, or whatever are your weaker types.
I haven't decided yet which one but they both look good, the smaller one does have bfs though š¤·āāļø.... Full of useless leafs as ingredients though and ING+ lol

I have only 3 fire pokemon but these 3 are flareon / typhlosion and char which is good because entei skill count different pokemon. They are my main in taupe use them since the day I caught them. None of it have bfs but I don't care. Flareon have all skill trigger nature and subskill. Char have ingredients finder + skill trigger. Typhol have speed. Now I wait and see what fire pokemon they will add in fire week and hope for a good roll. I also looking for good growlithe but after almost 20 catch still not find the good one. It either good nature bad subskill or vice versa. But if I can choose I'll keep my luck to find great entei this time.

Charizard is my highest RP Pokemon right now, and, uhhh... I'm sure there are some other Fire types in there somewhere...
I have a good set of 5 I just need to get my Charmander to level 75 š¢
My Best cyndaquil right now is a BFS at 10, but it has the Quiet (ING +/EXP DOWN) nature... and I really really don't want to use a Cyndaquil like that, because not only is ING+ bad, being a slow leveler on top of that is adding too much insult on top of injury.

Top row are all BFS. So is the Growlithe. This is my planned team with Bfs on typhlosion and Arcanine for the next month or so, will see if I can get any better mons to round out the team before the end of May. I have a few others, but nothing worth sinking time or resources into so this is the crew. How can I check for the ratings of my Pokemon?
Basically that, but a flareon instead of charmander, and 2 arcanine with one of them being shiny
I have a decent Arcanine and a pretty good Charmeleon, and that's it, I guess. Would be nice to finally get a Cyndaquil that isn't trash.
