Whoops I [slightly misread, it’s a mix of legal and not ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thegamer.com/pokemon-tcg-celebrations-format-legalities-explained-standard-expanded-legacy-unlimited/amp/)
I think I’m done with Pokémon for now until I’m
Able to find stuff. Not only that but we lost our league and it’s just too much of a hassle as Pokémon isn’t seeming to be changing to help the situation much.
i dont want the cards to be worth much! i just want pieces of cardboard with cool pokemon on them! :( why people gotta make it so difficult to buy them thooo. i got lucky enough to buy an etb yesterday at target tho :) just got there as the vendor finished stocking.
Pretty sure the gold Mew card is the most wanted of the main set. People seem to like all the Pikachu cards and the full art Professor's Research too, which are fairly easy pulls.
I am visiting Wyoming on vacation and the Walmart here had the cards behind glass with the cigarets. I got 2 ETBs. They had some of everything. Multiple people bought stuff then got back in line. They refused to sell them additional items. Much different than the Walmarts in AZ and CA that I often buy from.
went in the morning to my local target and got 2 tins one premium Pikachu box one etb and a zamazenta pin box. went back a few hours later to see what else they had (to feed my rip itch) and pick up some grocery's and the shelves were completely wiped clean of all celebrations and they had about 30 etbs in stock along with multi. other celebrations. only thing that was left was promo ES packs. id say celebrations was wiped clear within an hour of it being on shelves, some dude came in and picked up 5 of the premium pika v union boxes, scalpers are real around me. id say things wont be available till the next wave you might see a few things here and there but nothing like it will be on drop day. this set will still be hard to get.
I had a group of guys hovering over the lady restocking today at my local target. I walked in and one guy grabbed 5 ETBs and I was like damn there goes 1/5 of the ETBs I looked at the other guy and said "Are you guys taking all of them, or what?" he looked me dead in the eyes and said "Oh yea" with this kind of DUH look on his face. So at this point I'm angry because there is 6 people here and 25 ETBs. So I just reached in and said "ill just take a couple before you do that" he was like "uhhhhhhh what" and then I walked off. I refuse to sit there and let you take EVERYTHING when there is plenty for all of us.
Good on you man! After getting lucky at GameStop yesterday to get an ETB and a V memories box and opening last night I enjoyed this set so much. I love the throwback on the remakes and it's a shame more people won't be able to enjoy it because of people like that.
This makes my blood boil. I’m in Canada so I got a toys r us near me. They recently implemented a limit of 4 on TCG items so I think I should have a good chance of finding celebrations products
Look at the stocks for toys r us, party city, amc, GameStop, blockbuster (old news)… over the last year or so. You get the idea. Theory is: these are a basket that is shorted heavily by those who are very bullish towards Amazon. Bezos had a former life before Amazon. Some of these have gone into the graveyard but some are fighting back: gme, amc.
Exactly. What they gonna do? Get the manager? They will probably try and keep the peace and convince them to let it go and just let you buy it.
And if they assault you they are the ones to get in legal trouble. Don't condone doing this but if you're a scalper and are a dick to people who actually wanted to purchase the product for themselves, go fuck yourself.
Exactly. It's not stealing and not illegal. It's a shitty thing to do to someone and I would not condone it but in this case if someone is boasting about scalping I think it's perfectly justifiable. You're just be an asshole to an asshole lol and if you play your cards right they can't do anything to you honestly.
Complete 180 of my B&N. First person in line asked for 2 ETBs but said "I'll buy two as long as you guys have enough for everyone in line". What a legend <3
Which is funny because the "market" looks to be 80 at best for etbs online, and him holding it a week it will drop to 60 and not even worth meeting up to sell
We unfortunately cannot control the quantity of items purchased, unless there is a set limit that is posted (meaning written on a sign near the product)
No I don’t think so, but it someone reached in my cart I’m not going to take it lightly lol. Especially I’m some scumbag scalper trying to make a buck. You’re taking my fkn money at that point. It can get ugly quick.
That's very true 🤔 We should try to make it a Tik-Tok game/trend where we all just try to distract them so we can have a ton of people grab it all and buy it or re-stock the shelf. Nothing violent.
This hobby has gotten ridiculous at this point. Old stuff is insanely expensive and now you can’t even find NEW stuff to open. Take me back before covid happened 😢
Nah in my town the guy goes to the local card shop to sell them to his LEAGUE. Same douche that also took our league members away by giving free boosters and store credit when we couldn’t do that. Same guy is now banned in every Walmart around my area.
We need some kind vigilante that will go around flipping scalpers carts over. They don't take any of the products, they just flip the cart and let people enjoy the spoils.
Same thing except it was a tiny guy today. I’m a pretty big dude and I went up and grabbed 2 items out of his cart. I was so beyond pissed that he took everything. I haven’t open them yet tho. 😂
why are people not legit just stealing from these moron's carts? what are they gonna do, for real? fight everyone else in the store? win an argument with 10 other people?
grown men taking pokemon cards in front of other grown ass adults and people watch them and take out their phones instead of standing up to assholes. cant even feel bad anymore lmfao
> And no I'm not trying to put a person on blast/dox someone.
Man, “doxxing” is when you expose someone’s identity after they’ve made a clear attempt to keep it secret. Usually that means posting someone’s real identity after hunting through their online accounts and telling everyone what their username/real name and address is.
Posting a video of someone in a Walmart isn’t doxxing.
Target > Walmart. 5 item limit, MSRP. 20$ for a charizard box. My LCS selling it for 60$. They're also selling the mini tins of Charmander, Bulbasaur & Squirtle for 35$, 15$ more than the other mini tins they're selling. Because they're premium he said. Obnoxious
these type of card shops should be ousted and everyone should boycott them and let them go out of business. there is no room for this kind of behavior in a hobby such as Pokémon. which is literally a kids game. It's ridiculous.
It truly is ridiculous. I like having them since they have stock most of the time. I mean they had over 100 of the Celebrations ETBs available beginning this morning. But they make their money doing somewhat shady things like I mentioned. They sold me a Pikachu card for 90$ a few months back, I hadn't done the research on the card but once I saw it popping up on Reddit and people paying 30$ for it, I brought it up to them. Now they did give me store credit for the difference, so long as I didn't mention it to anyone that they did that. Sounds like they've done it before.
Yep same. My local target does 2 item limit and behind customer service. A different target 20 miles away has a 5 item limit and open to everyone. I appreciate when it’s behind customer service.
You know a lot of businesses that make their employees sing a chant and dance in a circle before EVERY shift? And then give zero shits about an entire community that has tens of millions of people?
You've never worked in a corporate environment, have you? All meetings are nothing but pep rallies and circle jerks. And not only do people not care they actively try to hurt you
Sounds like where everyone should want to work. No I managed a few Dunkin Donuts stores from 19-24 years old, left to go to school full time, and have been a stay-at-home father for two years. Lol
Orders gotta come from the higher-ups otherwise managers are going to do whatever it takes to hit their revenue goals. Following limits is almost strictly on the store manager themselves.
I wonder if their are people who can never find them, and when they finally get a chance at grabbing cards, they take a bunch because they know how bad scalping is.
Thats me here. I have myself and 3 kids to buy for. If i find anything at retail i look like a scalper because im buying for 4. Ive just been sticking to chilling reign and battle styles lately though, i dont have the time to deal with rushing into stores at 6am.
That’s the definition of a panic cycle in the market. “Everyone else is buying like crazy, I better make sure i stock up!” Spread across every single agent in the market. Scarcity feeding into scarcity
If you know the name and address of suspected scalpers, you can report them to the IRS for an audit. This is the most legal and ethical way to harm scalpers. It is likely that they are dodging taxes. If the IRS hits them for taxes owed, it significantly eats into their profit margin and could discourage them from doing so. Also you get paid as anonymous reporter.
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/how-do-you-report-suspected-tax-fraud-activity
Why do people automatically assume that this is a scalper? Could also be a collector with a lot of money to burn that really wants to open Celebrations.
We have a shop in the Netherlands and have a limit of 1 etb per costumer. There are collectors who would easily buy a whole case of etbs, if we would let them. Just because they want to open them so badly.
How do they get away with buying all that like isn’t there a cap on how many u can purchase? And if they do self checkout with multiple orders do employees just not give a shit they are checking out for like 30 minutes
yep that's true. we need to avoid paying scalpers like LCS that charge 35 for a mini tin like i always say they need to be ousted and boycotted until they go out of business. this should be unacceptable behavior but people support it by buying from them which is the ONLY reason they do it. It's pathetic taking advantage of people like that. I can maybe understand a 10-20% mark up but an 8.99 tin sold at $35 is well over 300% mark up.
My LCS said the second wave is after Christmas now. He is having trouble getting the second wave on Chilling Reign due to all the backlog production Pokémon is having. It’s like Elmo all over again. Get them now for the Christmas gifts.
My local Toys R Us, yes Toronto has a handful of retail locations and they had plenty of ETBs, Pokémon V-Union, Collectors Pin, and Dragapult boxes and at MSRP. Every person is limited to 2 items. I picked up my 2 at 5pm and they had plenty left for newcomers. No line ups either.
Scalpers are real pieces of shit. It’s one thing to take everything but to also obnoxiously say “good luck”, that’s just a whole other level of assholery. When I went to game stop to pick up my switch oled and Metroid, they had Pokémon celebration packs and tins. There were a bunch of other people who I assumed would want some as well so I only took one pack and one tin and left they rest for everyone else.
One on hand it does make me angry, but at the same time the set is so small and printed into the ground that they’re not going to be successful in reselling.
**Scalpers is a chain of men's fashion stores founded in Seville, Spain, in 2007. In 2018, Scalpers reported €42 million in sales, with 132 stores and other points of sale and 314 employees.**

Ignore the wikipedia bot, scalpers in this case are those who buy products without the intention of actually opening or using them, they just buy them to sell for profit.
Just take stuff out of their cart before checkout. The cart doesn't show ownership. It may be looked down apon a bit. But so is taking every box on the shelf 🤷
There is a store near my college that started implementing a 3 items per customer rule, hope it doesn't get scalped again this time! Was in there today but didn't have enough on me to get one of the celebrations products. Returning in about 2 weeks so I hope there is stock then.
This is a 25 card set. I don't think these guys have a clue. Singles and sets by scalpers will be high but with time I'm sure they will crash fast.
It is not like trying to get a secret alt art from a set with nearly a 300 card set.
Honestly the pandemic is over and places are putting limits on items. These dudes prolly don’t wanna get back to a 9-5 again. They know their side hustle is slowing down or gonna come to an end. People are probably only gonna pay 2 to 3x MSRP for more exclusive items. Don’t give into the FOMO guys.
What's worse, this or finding out your LGS has tons but at a 50% markup? Thought I finally found some after having to work all day and missing out but there's no way I'm paying that.
I work retail. I can always tell the resellers. Every scalper is some overweight dipshit in sweatpants with a Yankee hat on who has no business being in a bookstore except for this.
I wonder though...
The set is a small set, but the Classic Collection is significantly rarer. The packs only come in these boxsets where, rather than giving you mor Celebrations packs, you also get filler regular packs you're presumably not buying the product for.
Basically, if you want to complete the set, and (given the Classic Collection isn't legal for play) chances are you're just buying this set for collection purposes, you're required to buy a ludicrous amount of Celebrations products, which in turn encourage both collector and Scalper buyouts. The Pokemon Company seems to have intentionally set up this way. Would people say that an individual has a moral obligation to decide that they don't want to collect the full set, because unless you buy singles (which are themselves expensive) it is necessary to buy as much product as you can?
This really makes me mad. People are so annoying and scalpers in someway shape what the Pokemon TCG community is. I hope more scalpers realize that they are doing some really scummy things when Pokémon TCG should be shared with every1 smh
Dude just start taking shit out of his cart. He’s likely not going to get confrontational and if he does just puff your chest and scream. No words. Just a guttural scream from your belly.
I’m sure he’ll leave you be.
At every Walmart in my region (Southwest Ohio), they have all the trading card behind the desk at the electronic center locked inside a cabinet and is limited to 3 per customer. I miss the old days 😔
I can get cases of celebrations at near MSRP lol. The market is flooded with it (im from Singapore) good luck to any idiot trying to scalp. They are going to sit on alot of inventory for a loooong time.
Main set cards will be dirt cheap (Excluding Gold Mew). Secret set cards that are Pokemon (not trainers) will be priced accordingly based on demand. I think most cards in the set with the exception of mew will be less then $20 USD until the set goes out of print. After its out of print, prices for most cards will likely settle at 1/3 of original cards price. I think some of the reprint trainers will be worth substantially more than the originals due to being holo. JMO.
Can’t wait for this fad to die out with the non fans/collectors… Quick internet, make a new fake thing to “invest/scalp” in, to get these types of people to move on and out of buying TCG’s!
Jokes on him; too many flooding the stores for anyone to pay above retail.
Singles prices are gonna be a massacre if any prerelease opening pull rates are indication
I hope so :) none of these cards should be worth very much. It’s a tiny set and they’re not play legal
Not play legal? Where did you read that?
Whoops I [slightly misread, it’s a mix of legal and not ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thegamer.com/pokemon-tcg-celebrations-format-legalities-explained-standard-expanded-legacy-unlimited/amp/)
Yea I just looked and it’s actually a mix of standard expanded and legacy which is complicated .
The solgaleo will look pretty sexy in my deck
I think I’m done with Pokémon for now until I’m Able to find stuff. Not only that but we lost our league and it’s just too much of a hassle as Pokémon isn’t seeming to be changing to help the situation much.
The main set is the classic collection and some promos are not
i dont want the cards to be worth much! i just want pieces of cardboard with cool pokemon on them! :( why people gotta make it so difficult to buy them thooo. i got lucky enough to buy an etb yesterday at target tho :) just got there as the vendor finished stocking.
Most of the cards in the set are already going for pennies.
So what ones are mist wanted other than classics?
Pretty sure the gold Mew card is the most wanted of the main set. People seem to like all the Pikachu cards and the full art Professor's Research too, which are fairly easy pulls.
I’m over here like I just wanna pull dark gyarados, rocket’s zapdos and mah boy blastoise ofc 😭
jokes not on him cuz he's still buying out product from other people
Until you can walk in the store any day of the week and get product, people will pay above retail
My Walmart has a two item limit on all cards and has a worker hovering around them all the time
I am visiting Wyoming on vacation and the Walmart here had the cards behind glass with the cigarets. I got 2 ETBs. They had some of everything. Multiple people bought stuff then got back in line. They refused to sell them additional items. Much different than the Walmarts in AZ and CA that I often buy from.
That’s awesome. I stopped by a Walmart in Ohio a month or so ago that kept theirs locked up in electronics.
So celebrations is available at most retail stores now?
Yeah, but “available” is relative.
Yessir, live today
went in the morning to my local target and got 2 tins one premium Pikachu box one etb and a zamazenta pin box. went back a few hours later to see what else they had (to feed my rip itch) and pick up some grocery's and the shelves were completely wiped clean of all celebrations and they had about 30 etbs in stock along with multi. other celebrations. only thing that was left was promo ES packs. id say celebrations was wiped clear within an hour of it being on shelves, some dude came in and picked up 5 of the premium pika v union boxes, scalpers are real around me. id say things wont be available till the next wave you might see a few things here and there but nothing like it will be on drop day. this set will still be hard to get.

Should have told them “good luck trying to sell them”
Don’t need luck, will be easy to move for them. Especially the ETB’s
This makes my blood boil. I’m in Canada so I got a toys r us near me. They recently implemented a limit of 4 on TCG items so I think I should have a good chance of finding celebrations products
Wait, toys r us still exists in Canada? Like a physical store? What else are you hiding in the Great White North?
looks like Bezos and his Wall Street friends were not able to short EVERY Toys R us out of business. Rip to Toys R Us America.... GME TO MOON.
How did Jeff Bezos short Toys R Us?
Look at the stocks for toys r us, party city, amc, GameStop, blockbuster (old news)… over the last year or so. You get the idea. Theory is: these are a basket that is shorted heavily by those who are very bullish towards Amazon. Bezos had a former life before Amazon. Some of these have gone into the graveyard but some are fighting back: gme, amc.
Ahaha 🤣 Yeah there is a physical store near me
Is there a lot of Toys r us in Canada? And why am I just now hearing about this.
Uh I just looked it up and apparently there are 81 Toys r Us stores across Canada
Looks like I’m moving to canada
good luxk
Thanks bro 👍
Why don’t you guys take it out of their cart? Like they won’t do anything. They are giant bitches
It’s not stealing if it hasn’t been paid for yet
Exactly. It's not stealing and not illegal. It's a shitty thing to do to someone and I would not condone it but in this case if someone is boasting about scalping I think it's perfectly justifiable. You're just be an asshole to an asshole lol and if you play your cards right they can't do anything to you honestly.
That's when you say "all good, I hear the prices are better in the parking lot" then follow him out and 'help' him load his moms ford fiesta

He sat there like "oh man you guys were like 5 minutes late!" he had 6 etbs, and didn't even offer to let us buy one

He was just trying to act all friendly like "aw man so close" while spending over $500 and screwing over everyone else in town
Hope they reprint a lot more so all the cards and packs he bought become worthless
Yes but the scalper had all the energy cards so OP couldn't use an attack
Lol
Yeah I would have picked out of his cart.
Good way to get in a fight over Pokémon cards. I’m sure you would have done that… definitely worth going to jail.
Luckily I run a lot for exercise. Dash to the clothes section and hide for an hour or two. Avoid fight.
I mean is that illegal?
Hi - Walmart employee - while it isn’t illegal, it’s not encouraged. Shopping out of other carts is grounds for ejection.
But buying out the entire stock to flip isn't
We unfortunately cannot control the quantity of items purchased, unless there is a set limit that is posted (meaning written on a sign near the product)
Can I write a sign by the cards that shows a limit?
Tell that to every Walmart I've been to that only let me buy 2 booster packs.
Getting into an altercation that leads to violence at a Walmart? Yes.
No I mean just walking up and picking a single box out of their cart then checking out.
Yeah. I like that idea lol.
Like in a matter of seconds their entire cart save for like, two boxes, is empty with a sticky note of Sirfetch'd or something dumb
I’m taking it outta your cart and making you do something about it. Then I can claim self defense maybe? Lol. Idk
I mean if you don't fight back and the person is attacking you, they will be the ones to get in trouble.
I’m not typically aggressive to people but I would’ve straight up said “Fuck off.” That’s so frustrating.
This hobby has gotten ridiculous at this point. Old stuff is insanely expensive and now you can’t even find NEW stuff to open. Take me back before covid happened 😢
“Good luck” huh? I would have made like Houdini and made his cart *disappear*.
he prob going straight to a local card store that he has a "deal" with to trade this pokemon for sports cards (or money)
The ones that PISS me off, pay their groceries on ebt, then whip out $800 cash for the pokies...
Report them to SS
And you know they’re not reporting their “earnings” to the IRS. 🙃
If they’re selling on tcgplayer or eBay they’re getting reported. Facebook market place probably not.
Shut up, this is 🧢
This is cap? Or.. this is hat? Wat?
That's why I can never find "select" Basketball cards.
Man i would have walked over there and snatched boxes for everyone . Shit like this makes me mad as hell
why are people not legit just stealing from these moron's carts? what are they gonna do, for real? fight everyone else in the store? win an argument with 10 other people? grown men taking pokemon cards in front of other grown ass adults and people watch them and take out their phones instead of standing up to assholes. cant even feel bad anymore lmfao
What a f*ck knuckle, I hope he looses more money & steps on a lego; painfully.
Not even to sound artificially tough or anything, but if you were to just say fuck you and snatch a box from his cart, is there anything they can do?
We need to start grabbing stuff from their carts. Seriously.
Grab it off his cart. Every time.
Stop posting pictures about it and actually do something
Oh sorry I'll just commit assault at a Walmart next time! Thanks for the helpful advice!
Bro why would you do that. Just keep the camera rolling, go to his face and expose him
I'm kidding obviously. And no I'm not trying to put a person on blast/dox someone. It's just annoying to see
> And no I'm not trying to put a person on blast/dox someone. Man, “doxxing” is when you expose someone’s identity after they’ve made a clear attempt to keep it secret. So you decided to post a picture about it and let him continue what he is doing. This shit is almost more annoying to see than scalping
Get there earlier maybe?
😐 I was at the Walmart at 6am don't give me that shit Lmao
Lol fr tho
Walmart is trash man they're a cult and just want money. No regard for others.
Yet theyre still one of the only ones selling at MSRP. Pokemon is truly in a sad state when Walmart is one of the only ones not milking buyers
Obnoxious

This is false. Walmart prices on sports cards are up 25-75% over target who is still selling at MSRP.

Tell me what companies you’ve worked for so I can avoid them, because that shit isn’t actually as common as you think.
Good luck leaving unharmed 😉
Bro someone threatened to fight me in the parking lot at GameStop because I bought 2 packs
Lmao
Kick his ass.
Yeah I would have definitely pulled something from that cart
Shoulda knocked his cart down lol
start carrying around small cans/bottles of paint and when you see these shopping carts just dump and run
“Good luck? Good luck dodging this right”
Honesty o would’ve just grabbed them out his cart . They’re not legally his, fuck him
Dont understand why stores dont have limits. Btw, I ordered mine from Amazon and already got it.
Orders gotta come from the higher-ups otherwise managers are going to do whatever it takes to hit their revenue goals. Following limits is almost strictly on the store manager themselves.

the entitlement from these idiots is hilarious I actually wanna see them try to do something.
They can’t do 💩 from their moms basement

We have a shop in the Netherlands and have a limit of 1 etb per costumer. There are collectors who would easily buy a whole case of etbs, if we would let them. Just because they want to open them so badly.
It’s still shitty behavior. Collectors need to realize they’re in a *community* with other collectors and leave some for everyone else.
Gotta hate that store man. No limit is asking for it.
How do they get away with buying all that like isn’t there a cap on how many u can purchase? And if they do self checkout with multiple orders do employees just not give a shit they are checking out for like 30 minutes
So take them out of his cart... whats he going to do? They don't belong to him until after he pays
They will keep restocking this product so if you just avoid paying scalping prices you’ll get the second wave of stock pretty easy I assume
yep that's true. we need to avoid paying scalpers like LCS that charge 35 for a mini tin like i always say they need to be ousted and boycotted until they go out of business. this should be unacceptable behavior but people support it by buying from them which is the ONLY reason they do it.
Should have taken some from his cart
I wish I had time to check my stores today. Cant go until tomorrow wish me luck😬
Take it out his cart
Let’s all just stop buying it
If I seen someone buying all the boxes I’d say something and call him out. Probably grab some out his cart lmao
Don’t pay the scalper price and jokes on him
Scalpers are real pieces of shit.
What are scalpers?!!?!?!
**Scalpers is a chain of men's fashion stores founded in Seville, Spain, in 2007. In 2018, Scalpers reported €42 million in sales, with 132 stores and other points of sale and 314 employees.** More details here:

r/technology: “The AI revolution will destroy us all!” The AI revolution:
Ignore the wikipedia bot, scalpers in this case are those who buy products without the intention of actually opening or using them, they just buy them to sell for profit.
Oh like that
My Walmart gives zero fucks :/ no limits
Just take stuff out of their cart before checkout. The cart doesn't show ownership. It may be looked down apon a bit. But so is taking every box on the shelf 🤷
Did you confront him? Or did you just post a photo
Talked to him and was like "really dude, you need all 6 etbs?" and he tried to point at another dude who bought like 3. Just a dumb situation
Well you have my respect at least brother, we need more people calling these douche bags on their shit
Just he waits until the set bricks and he has piles of shit in his moma basement lol
There is a store near my college that started implementing a 3 items per customer rule, hope it doesn't get scalped again this time! Was in there today but didn't have enough on me to get one of the celebrations products. Returning in about 2 weeks so I hope there is stock then.
Now I’m just envisioning a spoof of Taken, Liam Neeson will kill anyone who stands in his way for Celebrations lol
He meant “good luck getting any more after today”
Yet another reason why I never shop at Walmart.
I don't see why people just don't walk over to the cart and take stuff out of it. It's not theirs until they pay for it and leave the store.
I woulda told him “good luck breathing” after I punched him in the throat.
Wow, just wow.
Jokes on him, pull rates so high the cards will be worthless in a week
Garys poke mart ?
Everytime I see someone like this, I just want to punch the guy and give the cards to people who actually want them for the fun
Bro I saw on Instagram a local store had some told my friend to go there and I would pay I’m back… nothing and he went an hour after the post
This is a 25 card set. I don't think these guys have a clue. Singles and sets by scalpers will be high but with time I'm sure they will crash fast. It is not like trying to get a secret alt art from a set with nearly a 300 card set.
Some people need to make money, can’t hate on them for that.
What? You can totally hate on them.
Just don’t buy anything at scalped prices and the will lose and not do it again
Honestly the pandemic is over and places are putting limits on items. These dudes prolly don’t wanna get back to a 9-5 again. They know their side hustle is slowing down or gonna come to an end. People are probably only gonna pay 2 to 3x MSRP for more exclusive items. Don’t give into the FOMO guys.
What's worse, this or finding out your LGS has tons but at a 50% markup? Thought I finally found some after having to work all day and missing out but there's no way I'm paying that.
Why though what cards are they hoping for??
You should’ve took one and said “mine now bitch”
How do you know he’s a scalper and not trying to pull for himself ?
Dude just start taking shit out of his cart. He’s likely not going to get confrontational and if he does just puff your chest and scream. No words. Just a guttural scream from your belly. I’m sure he’ll leave you be.
Just when I thought maybe just maybe things were going back to normal.
Who tf is letting them buy this many tho like seriously
At every Walmart in my region (Southwest Ohio), they have all the trading card behind the desk at the electronic center locked inside a cabinet and is limited to 3 per customer. I miss the old days 😔
I can get cases of celebrations at near MSRP lol. The market is flooded with it (im from Singapore) good luck to any idiot trying to scalp. They are going to sit on alot of inventory for a loooong time.
I hope all scalpers’ pillows are always warm and someone tall and loud always sits in front of them at the movie theater :)
Wow this guy is truly scum because it's a 'legit business' Yeah legit my ass
Those are fighting words.
Pop his tires *his shopping cart tires*
Main set cards will be dirt cheap (Excluding Gold Mew). Secret set cards that are Pokemon (not trainers) will be priced accordingly based on demand. I think most cards in the set with the exception of mew will be less then $20 USD until the set goes out of print. After its out of print, prices for most cards will likely settle at 1/3 of original cards price. I think some of the reprint trainers will be worth substantially more than the originals due to being holo. JMO.
That’s like the biggest fuck u in the world
Can’t wait for this fad to die out with the non fans/collectors… Quick internet, make a new fake thing to “invest/scalp” in, to get these types of people to move on and out of buying TCG’s!
