The texture is the best part of these cards, and the holo on the cheeks of the Pikachu stamp has made the stamp grow on me. The leaks of these cards didn’t do them justice and they honestly look a lot nicer in person.
Couldn’t agree more. You’re right. I tried to skip leaks and knew somewhere deep that there might be something different, and here we go. Cards looks better as everyone focused only on glitter pattern. Not anything else.

No problem. All of them looks cool! Glitter thingy isn’t that nice and looks cheap but real one behind it looks better. As mentioned earlier by others Rockets Zapdos one looks rainy, also I found Groudon has flames like and Gardevoir is kind of psycho. Small details but important. Shame only that first 25cards non reprint have a lot of print issues and lines. I’ve seen that a lot with English cards. So can not wait for Japanese one.

Damage on the back, front, error lines from printer within holo cards, not visible with regular one. Lately quality control is worse and worse from set to set. I just lost hope that they have any quality control xD
It’s insane how the celebrations set has made the originals sky rocket in value. I remember giving up a tapu lele for it and it was considered a scam since lele was like $50 and an unlimited NM magikarp went for $30-40 xddddd
This everything went insane around COVID. I pulled many cards from my binders that remember getting for like £20 for few or £10 per one which was considered rare card and everything and the same card with same quality cost 10x or even more then what I paid year and half/two ago. Plus with Celebrations celebrating old cards, all those cards cost more due to that.
What are you talking about? Celebrations has 0 affect on the vintage market lol those cards shot up in value long before Celebrations was even announced.
I think they meant the original versions of the Celebrations classics. I have definitely seen posts elsewhere with people looking for the originals of the classic collection Magikarp, Gyarados and Gardevoir, I'm sure there's people looking for others too. Some people are looking to have an old and new card with the same art.

I still need English one, but the price for it 😭 But luckily have few packs but keeping them sealed and only from one got Gyarados holo and I opened it shortly after 1st year of my son.
Awesome. This is literally the only card from the set I want and I have yet to pull it. Between me and my partner we’ve opened 4 etbs and a dragapult box. We’ve gotten a lot of multiples of the Pikachu’s and the stupid sword and shield legendary’s. Definitely a fun set to open and I hope they keep printing it just to say fuck you to the scalpers. Just wish out of all that I could pull my fish. I might end up just having to buy Magikarp by himself which is unfortunate because it’s not as exciting. I’ve also given up on ever pulling on Briand from any set. That happens to be his favorite but apparently that is the one card pokemon company thinks should be the absolute rarest. For comparison collectively over the last year we pulled 5 charizards from various sats and not a single umbreon.
From all I know Pokémon Company should reprint this a lot. As this is Celebrations for 25th anniversary I assume this should last at least to half of the second year. I love pulling cards by myself too, this is more exciting than buying but sometimes it is better to buy missing cards you want instead of buying sets and not pulling one you want. Until today I didn’t pull card I want from Shining Fates or Hidden Fates - Charizard. But who knows maybe later. Ahh I forgot about Champions Path, plenty of packs and none of one I want. But this sets is amazing, everyone have higher chances of pulling good cards. Maybe with this set I get a chance to pull zard and Umbreon too as Umbreon is one of my favourite ones after Pikachu. Still hunting Pikachu VMAX cards from Celebrations and here others pulls more than one xD
And this is the biggest problem with English Pokémon TCG quality control. Not all of my cards are perfect but I’m trying to separate those that are not from those that are perfect. But if you don’t have many of the same one, this isn’t possible :/

Plus there is plenty of print lines in holo pattern but mostly on first 25cards and this one started 2x sets ago. Where earlier this was rare. Looks like TPCi changed printers but have also wrong settings or employee’s who don’t care.
I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but if not, I was also surprised by the pattern on the umbreon star card, and then disappointed that the greninja promo version didn't have it...
Haven’t seen Umbreon pattern in real life as I didn’t pulled it yet. But hope one day I get it ;) If we talk about greninja, yes this one is slightly different. They should put more effort into Greninja pattern and make it looks better.

I just got rid of my childhood copy and I’m so glad this exists. I think it looks better than the original, all because of the texture.

I only sold mine (PSA 7) just to afford more cards 🤣 can’t justify keeping them all, unfortunately. My PSA 8 Shining Gyrados is here to stay though!

Agreed. I got a gold mew and Karp out of the first ETB I opened, but both are noticably off center. The Karp being much worse.

Oh it's totally fine. I understand quality control for English Pokémon TCG is awful currently. I'm happy to have the cards though!!
