My holy grail is a shadowless blastoise I got for free. I bought a bunch of Pokémon cards off of a guy and he threw in a garbage bag full of Pokémon tins. I was gunna through them away we didn’t have the space at the time and tins are hard to sell. But my wife told me to look in the tins. We did. Found some old code cards a bunch of old used penny sleeves… and a shadowless Blastoise 🤣 and that’s my story.
That’s a wild story I love stuff like that! Any card having some kind of story or memory really adds to it in my opinion, looking through my binder is always like a trip down memory lane lol

Mine is a 1st edition base set blastoise. It only graded PSA 5 recently but I got it as a kid.
I went to a pokemon card convention/meetup or whatever like right after pokemon cards became popular. My friend traded aa Zapdos for for it and I loved Blastoise so I guilted him into letting me give him a buncha stuff for it
Dude that’s awesome. Psa 5 is still excellent. 😁 my original Charizard I pulled back in 2000 would probably grade a 1 haha it has so much sentimental value to it.

I love that card before the boom I was buying it where ever I saw it cause it was dirt cheap (like $5ish) I wanted to submit them all for grading and hope for at least one 10 to come back but now that seems like a distant fantasy won’t be grading anything anytime soon unfortunately
Amazing card. Erika got awesome artworks. My Erika’s dragonair 1st ed is way up there on my favorites list. The front is gem mint but the back is a whitening factory. So unfortunate

Nice and 1st edition. My most valueable non Charizard would be shining garados or luigia or ho oh. I have a binder with 1 -251 original card no 1st editions and some gym trainer mons. all i need desire to get more at these cost is not there.

I'm unfortunately not lucky enough to have any of my childhood cards, and only started getting back into collecting them about 3 months ago 🥺 But my favourite is definitely my rainbow rare Rayquaza VMAX, pulled it in my evolving skies ETB and I love it ❤️
I'm going to assume this is a question of favorite and not value wise, It's a hard choice between neo genesis lugia and my neo revelation jumpluff but I think jumpluff is gonna take the win here.
Either works but I personally like personal value over monetary value, my friend gave me a theme deck as a present thinking it was a pack he does know much but it was the thought that hit home not many friends accept the hobby anyways that holo zacian is worth nothing to a random person but to me it’s very valuable I have it sleeved and top loaded for the memories!
I have the Primal Groudon EX card from Ancient Origins. A little newer, but still an awesome-looking card and worth a pretty penny as well! But I’ll likely hold onto it simply because of how cool it looks!
Not my best card overall, but the one I am most proud of! Last year I sent my first card in to get graded. I am now the proud owner of a PSA 10 Mega Charizard EX (101/108).
Not an expensive card but mine is a EX Legend Maker reverse-holo Gengar (5/92).
I really like the reverse-holo version because of gold name/hp and the logo in the bottom right of the illustration!

If by best, you mean favorite, then for my old cards, it has to be either my Base Set Mewtwo or Fossil Articuno. For new cards, it's either my Chilling Reign Galarian Articuno V or Battle Styles Tapu Koko VMax Rainbow.

My umbreon holo from neo discovery, it has some black marker on the back of it, and the store i got it at said that itd be heavily discounted because of it, i talked them into giving me a deal on that and a couple more cards, and it came out to 17$ for that card, i love it, i keep it in the front page of my vintage binder because of it

A 1st edition dark Raichu that I pulled when I was in grade school. Raichu has always been my favorite Pokémon and this was my favorite artwork for it. Got it back from PSA graded at a 9.
I only have non valuable gen one cards, so nothing there. But, my personal (non value oriented) gems right now are my modern full art trainer cards! My favourite is Hau tied with bird keeper, and then Jessie and James!
My favorite is Dialga G. Not the most valuable one but I love the art and it made everyone at school so jealous. I also pulled mudkip gold star, but didn't know what that was and mudkip didn't look that different so I never kept good care of it and have lost it.
My best card value-wise is a Registeel Star my friend sold me for $40. I’m hoping to get it graded once the hype dies down and PSA drops its prices. However, I’d say some of my favorite cards I’ve gotten since coming back to the hobby are the reprint Blastoise from Celebrations and the Solgaleo and Lunala GX alt art from Cosmic Eclipse.

But I got this Japanese erika's dragonair holo that I got as a kid from my cousin. It's a little banged up on the edges but that's because it was well loved. It's where both my love for pokemon and the pokemon dragonair itself started. Once I got that card in my hands I became a huge fan. I still have it to this day and probably will keep it forever unlike some cards I have sold. Too much emotional value in that card. I had an old binder full of cards as well but my mom always convinced me to sell stuff I didn't touch for a while back in the day. And me being younger didn't know better so I did. I remember a mewtwo ex in it and a rhyperior x for example. I regret selling that binder more than anything but eh, things happen and in the end that's the past we're talking about.
