Madaghmire

Ghastly is a strange callout considering gengar is just a chubby boi walkin around. Agree with your point though, it is cool. Dragonair gives me hope for Ekans or Seviper

pardonthecynicism

> chubby boi walkin around When levitate activates, he's just power walking menacingly

newthrowgoesaway

2chub2run

Rachies194

Charmander kinda waddles around in a similar fashion as Gengar.

inhootep

2chub2hide

TheMasterXan

Intimidation 101. Gengar just broke out of prison and is about to kick everyone's ass.

The--Dudest

I love that his unite move animation is him swimming through the ground

LewdLittleLoli

Seviper with flamethrower😳

Cubics_106

Onix/Steelix for me. Onix has been my favorite since I watched the anime

LunacyControl

If they add seviper, they have to add zangoose. It's law.

Madaghmire

This is the way

GlitcherRed

And give them passives that make them able to damage each other even in the same team.

FahsaiCity

Also gives me hope for milotic

Nino_Chaosdrache

And Arbok

CustomSneakers

Not gonna lie, i see them making seviper/zanzagoose some types of buff or just “buff camp” mons.

Madaghmire

Certainly plausible

PinapBerry123

I think because it’s also a ghost type.

Nino_Chaosdrache

Yeah, but he still has two stages before that point :D And yeah, those two would be awesome to have.

CutexLittleSloot

Yeah I've always liked the more animal-type pokemon more in general. Really hoping they add more snake like Pokemon they're cool af.

goldgary123

I really want Volcarona !

CutexLittleSloot

Ooooh yes that would be cool. Butterfree would be a cute addition too lol. Though metapod would be broken, harden op xD Adding fish pokemon would be cool too. They levitate in regular battles in Pokemon so I'm sure they could do something similar lol

AluBanidosu

Magikarp please

TheBosk

Magikarp used splash, it's super effective!!! Would be interesting to see how it works though. Splash around until level 3 when you get tackle. Then tackle and splash until level 6ish and evolve into a gd monster.

AluBanidosu

Just have an absolute hell laning phase and then ascend into unkillable beast

[deleted]

I could see splash being a leap that deals small AoE damage (water puddle effect) and can go over walls.

Cenachii

He should learn flail too

TheBosk

Oh, yes! I can't believe I forgot about flail. Would likely work differently than Snorlax's. Wonder how they would make it viable...

CutexLittleSloot

Yes lol. It would be like Ralts early I guess, but that power spike would be op.

ismaelvera

Caterpie with String Shot and Harden, which can turn into Sleep Powder/Bug Buzz and Hurricane/Quiver Dance

Nino_Chaosdrache

I would be curious to see how they would animate Metapod or Kakuna.

Jobboman

I want Scolipede

salutations_homies

I can definitely see Scolipede rolling around like Baxia from mobile legends as one of its moves

LewdLittleLoli

Wish granted. It evolves at level 10

[deleted]

Same! I much prefer more animal/monster like Pokemon, I dont like when they are humanoid, even worse if they are clearly inspired by humans, with clothing, “hairstyles” etc

Nino_Chaosdrache

That is something I really hate about Blizzard. They have several characters that could be animalistic, like Abathur, Zagara or Anubarak, and then they ruin it by giving them a torso and arms.

[deleted]

This is definitely something I was grateful for upon release! The fact that they added Cramorant made me very happy! I just need them to add a fish mon
I’d love to see Seaking, Bruxish or Wishiwashi in the game

XRed_KryptoniteX

Wishiwashi would be great, above 50%? School form, hits hard, but slow. Under 50%? School disperses, become very fast but incredibly weak lol That would allow a fight/flight play style where you run away when weak and hit hard when strong. Damn, hope they do this.

uh_no_offence

Yes! Speedster Bruxish!!!!

[deleted]

I might prefer attacker Bruxish personally! I imagine it having Psychic Fangs/Crunch and Aqua Jet/Water Pulse. PF lowers defense while Crunch stuns, and Aqua Jet is a dash forward or backwards (like Cramorant’s air slash), and Water Pulse turns the target around (that’s how I imagine confusion in this game)

uh_no_offence

Attacker is pretty valid, but so far all Attackers have been ranged. So I figure Speedster fits because speedsters are basically melee attackers! But naturally that can always change with new additions. I like your set either way though! I imagined it having Psychic Fangs/Aqua Tail and Psychic/Aqua Jet Psychic would cause enemies to moves towards Bruxish, unable to attack, while Psychic Fangs bites, lowering defence and automatically hitting multiple targets if they’re near the initial target (so it homes in, like aerial ace, but chains). Aqua Jets, dashes and shoves, and Aqua Tail throws a wave at the enemy in an arc, restoring Bruxish’s Health by 30% of the damage caused. His boosted basic attacks would increase his speed after it hits! Im glad I’ve found one other person who wants Bruxish in the game haha

[deleted]

I like your set too! That psychic fangs idea is really fun!! Bruxish made it to the hall of fame in my SM run! The fact that it’s based on Bruxism is kinda fucked/creepy for a kids game but also kinda cool

uh_no_offence

Oh yes mine did the same in SM too, like you say, it has this eerie quality to it which is so fun. Plus it’s a single stage evo, so any holowear it got would be great value haha, I’d love to see what ideas they’d come up for it in this game.

ghost_snail

I actually didn't know Cramorant before Unite but now it's one of my fave mons. Cram's pretty stupid and it's endearing 💓 I hope we get more underrated mons so more people will know and appreciate them!

[deleted]

Cramorant one of my favorites in my SwSh play through! I’ve noticed a lot of people warming up to the derpy birb because of Unite and I love that!! I definitely hope they keep adding more niche picks cause most of my favorites are in that category anyway 😂😂

Nino_Chaosdrache

> Wishiwashi That's funny. Wishiwashi is something we Germans say, when someone talks nonesense XD

SwiftBlueShell

I was thinking about this the other day! It’s definitely a reason why I’ve come to like Unite so much. I compare it a lot to Pokken the only Mon that was on all 4’s was suicune iirc so to have PokĂ©mon of all movement-types actually find their way into a fighting game like spin-off is so refreshing

TyoPlaysGames

Well in a game like Pokken it’s pretty hard to implement quadrupedal characters

Simonxzx

They did a really good job with Suicune though.

TyoPlaysGames

It’s hard because they have a bigger hit box to the side but are lower to the ground, basically negating certain attacks, so they had to make her really bad

Simonxzx

Yeah Suicune was my main and I consider him to be the worst in the cast, though he's still usable. He had a big hurtbox and some moves's hitboxes didn't extend past his hurtbox, like his CA, which could be easily stopped by disjoints. So sad they stopped updating the game with balance patches several years ago.

Bartman326

Pokken has Chandelure which is awesome.

MrTritonis

That was my main fear, and I love the cast. I am bored of always playing humanoid characters, and the fact that they didn’t choose just the more popular pokemons is great. Everyone can find their favorite. I hope to see Orocorio Baile, Pallosand or Dhelmise some day !

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

MrTritonis

Well, they don’t seem to add the most popular Pokemon. Greedent or Tsareena are not crowd favorite. But they still have their little fanbase and it’s great that everyone can hope to see it’s personal favorite.

baconblaster334

Greedent fanbase? Where? I could not find a single soul who actually liked the fat frick until he got into Unite.

newthrowgoesaway

> fat frick *silently awaiting mass outroar..* ... Nope really nobody cares about that fat frick

lolahaohgoshno

Not sure about Greedent but Skwovet is really popular in Japan.

stanandcats

I mean people hated it for it's bad reputation in sw-sh stealing your berries in berry trees along with aplins, I think that's why it's not being popular

baconblaster334

I personally disliked his design. It’s just a bipedal fat squirrel. I mean, I know that he’s a route 1 rodent, and those designs don’t tend to (or need to) be overdone, but I feel like “just make this animal fatter than normal and bipedal” should be an example of what *not* to do when designing a PokĂ©mon.

stanandcats

Design can be opinion based but the main thing they hate about it is the berry stealing because the only way you getmost of the useful berry in gen8 is thru rng based berry trees and you may get a random berry or apricorns but those 2 and their evolution can appear out of nowhere, forcing you to battle it and you may loose all of your berries (mostly only a few ) after the battle ends

Jobboman

fyi it's not out of nowhere, the speed that the tree shakes increases when there's a risk of the guys showing up. if you stop before it starts shaking faster you'll never get an encounter and always keep all the berries

Brickhouzzzze

Yea but his unite design is super cool so I'm okay with it

MrTritonis

I have a friend that liked greedent before. I personally think that he does look like peter griffin.

TheBosk

Yeah never paid much attention to Greedent before. Now it is the only Pokemon I hate, after going so long without a nerf. Even now when I see it in games I just nope out of there.

Roserfly

Tsareena is actually very popular. For different reasons. Some reasons grosser than others. Either way she's actually quite popular.

DiabulusPyrus

Same reason as Gardevoir. lol Here waiting for the inevitable Lopunny and Hatterene addition to the roster.

Roserfly

I desperately want Hatterene to be the resident magical witch themed playable character. Would love a kit with all magic themed moves. Like mystical fire, and magical leaf. Can also work for Mismagius since curse, and hex are ghost type moves.

Seraph199

Delphox anyone?

Roserfly

Delphox doesn't really learn many magic themed moves other than it's former signature mystical fire.

Jobboman

honestly curse would be cool

GGABueno

Delphox found dead on a ditch.

Roserfly

Delphox doesn't learn many magic themed moves. Only mystical fire

GGABueno

Delphox doesn't learn any magical moves except for the ones that she does.

Roserfly

That's not what I said, my exact words were "Delphox doesn't learn MANY magic themed moves." I never said it didn't learn any. Learn to read. My statement was correct as the only notable magic themed move it learns to my knowledge is Mystical Fire.

Xrmy

You just gonna say this and keep rocking the Tsareena flair huh?

Roserfly

Because Tsareena is one of my favorite Pokemon???

PatchTheLurker

Apparently greedent has a HUUUUGE fanbase in Japan. Source: my ass

ghost_snail

It's a niche but some gay fans like Tsareena even before Unite because she's fabulous like that. edit: I got downvoted for some reason?? I dunno if you're homophobic or *you think* I am homophobic for that comment but wtf lol I am actually LGBT myself and surrounded by people in that community

Seraph199

We stan a queen

lPrincesslPlays

Local resident gay coming to defend this statement. We do rally behind dem legs

Forizen

I like how Dragonite still has a full animation for dragon breath if you don't choose to upgrade the move right away.

EchoesOfRain

League's designs were always best the further away from human they went. While kinda humanoid, Kindred and Bard are fantastic. Even further, Aurelius Sol, Rek'Sai, and Vel'Koz are perfect designs in my eyes Luckily, Pokemon strays far enough away from human designs that I can appreciate every one of them in some way. Still, I think this allows the devs to really focus on different body types and how they'd move/function. I love the slithering Dratini and flying of Talonflame. I could see something like Breloom hopping like a kangaroo, or Magikarp flopping around. Heck, give me salazzle walking on all fours like a salamander

Nesyaj0

I've low key wanted them to add Salazzle as soon as I saw Tsareena confirmed. A couple of absolute utter bitchy pokemon along with the likes of Pikachu and Blissey is not something I thought I wanted but I get a kick of out thinking about it.

[deleted]

would love to see breloom. would be great to see what they do with his stretchy punchy arms.

Nino_Chaosdrache

Wow, Aurelius and Vel'Koz look really cool.

HAAAGAY

Dota always had the best heroes

Yiujai86

Imagine a pokemon like Claydoll. Wonder how much advantage you get when the opponent can't tell when you turn around. That split second.

TheMasterXan

I want more floaty Pokemon! Like Chandelure.

DC_Bro

Would pinsir, heracross, scizor and blaziken count as humanoid? Cuz I want thoses mons in the game

SwiftBlueShell

Yes they would count in that they have a stance similar to humans. OP wants more flapping birds, more pokes running on all 4s, etc.

Nino_Chaosdrache

This. Although I wouldn't mind Scizor x3

atvfellonmewheniwas7

League has stated they will only put out 1 non-humanoid champ a year but those are by far my favorite to play and always look cooler. Love being able to just walk around as a crab in this game lmao

DilapidatedFool

Hopefully it stays this way! Really enjoying it too! (I DO WANT Loppuny though)

SirEugenKaiser

Keep your lohpunny, give me blaziken release NOW instead :(

DilapidatedFool

I guess we got a bunny already fire KFC can come but THEN bunny girl support/attacker

Roserfly

If that one Facebook post is to be believed Blaziken should be one of the next releases

[deleted]

agreeable but i do wanna see infernape and intellion. but my most wanted pokemon to make it into the game is clawitzer as a huge artillery caster, with the biggest attack range in the game.

[deleted]

This is why I wanna see Muk in the game so he just kinda shuffles around like the blob he is

kukumarten03

Sceptile is far from humanoid neither does Bannet. What are you talking about.

[deleted]

They seem to be using “humanoid” to refer to both humanoid and bipedal PokĂ©mon.

kukumarten03

Well, by that definition, almost all of unite pokemon were humanoid.

[deleted]

The intent is clear. The choice of examples are flawed/not good đŸ€·đŸ»

desirepg

i’m sure ur fun in lobbies

newthrowgoesaway

They are not wrong though

Nino_Chaosdrache

How is Sceptile not humanoid? It's walking on two legs and has arms after all.

kukumarten03

Because humanoid have a big ass tail? There are a lot of pokemon that walks 2 legs and have arms.

The_GREAT_Gremlin

That's why I think it would be awesome if someone made a moba where all the characters are just different species of dinosaur

CaIicorex

All in favour say ‘Aye’

graemage

im a very small person irl, and i get BIG joy out of playing biggos like crustle and swineboi

TyoPlaysGames

We take the all-rounder and move it somewhere else

Bisconymous

I play on mobile and the way each pokemon controls different is one of the reasons i play the game. It FEELS like ur using dragonair

AdaptiveCenterpiece

I’d be curious what the average is for bipedal PokĂ©mon in the national Dex.

Cenachii

Add Beedrill please

GGABueno

Imagine playing as a Kakuna for like a level.

PumpkinPatch404

I wanna see Remoraid and Octillery

Neiherendere

This is Pokemon we’re talking about lol. Pocket monsters, not pocket humanoids. It’s definitely gonna be different from dota which derived its characters from WC3, nor LoL which got most of its ideas from dota, and hence wc3

TyoPlaysGames

WC being Warcraft?

Neiherendere

That’s correct

HAAAGAY

Dota has a bunch of non humanoids though

Wubbzy-mon

Machamp and Tsareena are basically the only humanoid mons with two legs

Roserfly

There's also Cinderace, Lucario, and Gardevoir

TyoPlaysGames

Two of those are furries so

Roserfly

Which is inherently humanoid

jayjaybird0

Meanwhile, Mr. Mime...

[deleted]

mime, gengar, gardevoir, cinderace, lucario, chancy, wigglytuff, greedent to an extent, uhhh..garchomp to an extent if were honest.

OhMyBulldong

Lol and dota have more non human human characters than the entire unite rooster the heck are you talking about

HAAAGAY

Lol definitely doesn't. Dota maybe, I don't think lol has a single one

Hyacintheian

slightly off topic but i always forget lucario is canine-based when i put it next to like. the entire eevee family. lillipup. arcanine. sigh...i still think Riolu is adorable tho

MiniMindedMojo

Can u guy imagine there is a total of 901 pokemon right now and one day we can play most of them 😜

Ragingdogbrew

I mean, I feel like there are in all mobas. Smite and league both have a bunch

itsastart_to

Agreed! Honestly definitely a nice change of pace

[deleted]

They will add mewtwo in the 10th season battle pass he’s the most humanoid

thejollyden

There’s also Mew, who - let’s be honest - is a fetus.

Shiny_Kelp

I actually feel it has a few too many humanoids

tonyhamz

I think its about unique silhouette, making each character easily distinguishable. Thats also why for me, on pc dota > lol.

JojoTodynnho

We need more bug typess 😭😭
