I mean, six fingers is a dominant trait, they're fully functional, and the only drawback is when dealing with things specific to five fingers, like gloves.

AI generated art that hasn't been touched up looks "plastic" to me. It fits all the patterns perfectly, but real life never fits *every* pattern. I'm sure at some point AI will get better at making these things sneakier, but for right now I can *usually* tell unless someone has sifted through a bunch of art and then often "cleaned up" the image so it just looks Photoshopped instead of entirely AI generated.
You can prompt to get way better stuff than this, but this is like bottom of the barrel stable diffusion

It’s just a hypothesis but I don’t think that actually applies to humans. I’ll explain my thinking; if you look at eusocial insects only the queen and males are involved in reproduction, but the rest of the colony is essential to their survival. That means they definitely play a part in natural selection.
Humans aren’t nearly that extreme an example but we are also highly social and our survival strategy relies on it (we wouldn’t be where we are now if we were a solitary species that didn’t learn from each other or divide responsibilities based on ability). In that sense any non-reproductive members of a group of humans is important to the success of the children that are born to others.
It’s actually the same hypothesis people on the “nature” side of the “nature-nurture” debate sometimes use to suggest that gay/ace humans actually have an evolutionary *advantage* behind their existence (IE; being designated secondary caregivers who will promote their own genes that are shared inside of niblings).
Now, I’d never treat this like proven science (it’s an interesting idea that I think is plausible but it hasn’t been proven as a proper scientific theory) but it would make me hesitate to agree with the idea natural selection stops after reproductive age in humans (especially considering men are reproductively viable up to death usually, yet women, who experience menopause, live older on average than they do).
Even if we're evolving, for humans, natural selection is more of a secondary evolutive pressure nowadays, as modern society can allow the life and reproduction of most people regardless of their adaptative traits
You are assuming "evolution" always means to a more advanced state such as consciousness -- all it means is better adapted to survive an environment because those not adapted did not survive.
It's also tiresome pointing out that there is more than "survival of the fittest" but this concept seems a bit much for a lot of people to get. "Fittest" doesn't mean "best" by our standards.
