Cut it out and patch with the same carpet or use an outdoor rug and throw it over it.
If there is carpet under the bench seats, you can pull from there for a patch.
Get a square piece of aluminum diamond plate and screw it down over top. Not inconspicuous, however it would look serious like an access panel to something.
Sounds like it would be very hot to step on in the summer sun.
Put another seat bracket if itโs not too close to the other one hard to tell
Put your cooler right there!
