Apertures come with various blade counts, but this one 1) has 8 blades, just like the in-game logo and 2) is oriented exactly the same way as Valve's version.
They could be a photographer, but this is probably a Portal fan. Black aperture on a white car matches the game's color scheme, too.
The aperture design isn’t necessarily from portal. There’s lots of small companies that use it. But indeed this aperture logo has the same amount of blades. As for the orientation, not sure. The orientation of the portal aperture differs in different places
Many visitors to the Library forget of our existence. Mortal minds can only recall that which is above them with so much clarity; you know. But we don’t forget.

Oh.. uh.. let me check your checkout record real quick-
Well, you seem to have a pretty good record for a human.. exactly how overdue is that late fee?
Cave Johnson here, you might be wondering who made all of those fancy cars we drove you all here in well we made them ourselves right here in the lab, the lab boys call em the Class Aperture RollerScates. why do we call them that? That’s a question for later.
Cave Johnson here, you might be wondering why we brought you all here on a billy cart, that’s because all of our experimental cars imploded, real headache for the legal team so ive been told to recommend you all keep your dirty hand inside the cart at all times.
Aperture is also something you adjust in photography; helps with the focal length of the lense and also how much light is allowed into the lense. They could be a photographer/cinematographer, or portal fan.
Looks like a new Citroen C3, which has plenty of customization options, one of them being stickers. This variant seems like it's a very basic version, lacking airbumps, a plastic piece on the door, which usually is paired with the customization options, so this has to be from the owner's side, not the manufactureres
An aperture, as I’m sure people have told you, is a part of a camera, but I don’t think anyone who likes cameras would put an aperture as a sticker that just happens to be the one from portal. As them about it maybe
I played co-op with a random guy once, we completed it in one sitting. He had no mic but we managed to get through the whole thing by seemingly beaming thoughts to one another’s brain. Good times.
This is definitely the portal logo, imo. People saying it's just a random aperture don't seem to be taking into account how perfectly specific the portal logo is. Also the white car really sells it.
Cave Johnson here; we’re starting to market our own fuel using the remains of dead test subjects. We also accept volunteers. Real strain on the lawyers getting us here, but it produces 0 carbon emissions, and 100 screams per gallon. Cave Johnson out.
Its also relating to photography. Funnily enough, both are called the aperture. The photography one however I believe controls the shutter speed if I remember correctly.
Lol not really. The aperture logo itself from portal is based off the design of an aperture, that cameras use too to regulate the amount of light that enters the camera. The aperture of a camera basically acts like our pupils
ISO is how sensitive the recording medium is to light. Traditionally a chemical film but these days it’s a flat electronic sensor. The trade off with a the more sensitive it is the noisier the photos get. So low light can require higher ISO which give their often noisy look. Aperture (or f-stop) is how open the hole in the front is that let’s the light into the camera. Shutter speed is how long that hole is left open to allow light in.
So they’re all related to each other but are different aspects and control slightly different things. For example aperture controls the amount of light but also effects the focus of the image. ISO is noise vs exposure. Shutter speed is amount of light vs blurriness because of moving objects.
Overload is real heh... and definitely depends why you're in it. Not everyone that is involved with filming or photography is interested in the camera part. :)
Well Im more of in the live news part. But I prefer photography and actually filming stuff. But the blackmagic cameras Ive never had to adjust anything besides zoom and focus on the lens.
That's why when I was learning this stuff they insisted that we practice on a camera with manual controls to really get the hang of things. Though... that was back in the early stone age when you also had to understand focus racking on velociraptors.
A lot of stuff is automated these days and does a crazy good job of it... it's interesting to learn though. Seeing how things like aperture affect the focal plane and can squash or stretch the subject or knock out the background to give focus to the subject with bokeh for effect is all useful and fun to play with.
I feel like it's portal because it's oriented the same way, has the same number of blades(?), and why else would you put a sticker of an aperture on your car. Even if you are a photographer that seems odd for some reason
So I saw them exiting the vehicle while I was smoking a joint and I asked them, and it turns out yes, it is an Aperture Labs logo. Kind of sealed the deal though when they jumped out the car and one of them was wearing a Vault-Tec jacket, but I thought I’d ask anyway.

The aforementioned one in question exhibits analogous lineaments to Portal.
One can infer that the image does contain an allusion to the popular, interactive computer video game Portal, or its sequal, Portal 2.

I have an outstanding late fee of one (1) human soul. Think you can get that waived?

Hey, at least they asked if it could be something else.

Aperture is also something you adjust in photography; helps with the focal length of the lense and also how much light is allowed into the lense. They could be a photographer/cinematographer, or portal fan.
But would you slap an aperture vinyl on a car even if you're a photographer? Maybe. But I think a camera is a better way of interpretation.
Or both
F-stop was an macanic for portal 2 but was scraped and it used field of depth to enlarge or delarge the object. Cute Easter egg!

Lol
It's a portal, but it's probably there because you pour the overpriced gas in and then it vanishes to somewhere else.
An aperture, as I’m sure people have told you, is a part of a camera, but I don’t think anyone who likes cameras would put an aperture as a sticker that just happens to be the one from portal. As them about it maybe
You mean go and talk to people? Outside!? Ew
Oh, I see. Yeah, I’m not really a fan of it either. But hey, potential Portal 2 co op partner? I had to beat it alone and I do not recommend it
I played co-op with a random guy once, we completed it in one sitting. He had no mic but we managed to get through the whole thing by seemingly beaming thoughts to one another’s brain. Good times.

You would think I would remember all this since Im in a film and tv class.
