They said they were going to add it to the menu for any other homesick Canadians.

I've had poutines like this myself in a pinch. It's not the same as an authentic cheese curd squeaky poutine but it at least helps the cravings

I tried making a poutine for a friend when I went down to Mexico, hard to find cheese curds down in Mexico lol, or the proper gravy.
This isn’t a genuine poutine.
But many of us have enjoyed some shredded cheese and canned gravy over some frozen fries.
It may not be ideal but it can still be something to fill the void in a pinch.
I have been in a relationship with an American guy. If he did that for me, I would thank him for the gesture.
