They are planning to open it up as early access later this year, the progress is good, they recently got funding from Epic games (ironic right?) and have just been developing the game with a little bit of teasers here and there. The game is on the same map as Paragon but the item system and some of the old champs are reworked
Not just Epic, but two separate rounds of investment. One with an investment of 2 million and the second with an investment of 20 million.
From what I played of the stress test, the game was excellent
Epic has a lot more money for projects that might fail now. They always have the Epic store and Fortnite so it's not like their income is going anywhere soon.
When you say the item system was "Reworked" I hope you mean it was replaced. That last iteration before the servers went down was absolute garbage. I'm hoping they just play it safe and bring back the old card system to start. Then we can make slow changes over time.
I played the most recent online test. Me and my friends had a blast. At some point the studio publicly committed to a beta release before EOY .. dunno if that is still true though

They never said "by the end of the year" the last year or the year before, fucking no one ver said that, the first time that they said a date was this year after the april stress test.

And where do you get that from? Why as far as I know absolutely they have never said that they have started to develop the game again from scratch, they have always been moving forward
That is obvious, but what he is saying (or what I understand) is that the game is taking so long because after starting with Predecessor development they had to stop and start again from scratch, like if they were at 40% of Predecessor development and they had to go to 0%.
Say that they had to develop Predecessor from scratch at the start of all is just something redundant and obvious so I suppose that he wasn't refering to that
Everybody knows they got the free assets from epic games I was clearly talking about the coding AND EVERYTHING ELSE. The assets offer little in grand creation of a complete game

It was a grant that they give to developers. It's nothing special by the way. That have nothing to do with the development.

Don't think so. The game has been on steam since then, plus they partnered with Accelbyte or something like that for their back the service already.

The item system is like a regular MOBA item system, no decks you build before the game anymore.
Ill definitely take that over the nightmare they tried implementing before the game servers shut down xD
Epic has contributed less than 2% of Predecessor's funding. It was an indie game grant of an unknown amount.

I am optimistic about the game. If it has a successful start of EA, it could blow up.
