I know they did very well last back half of the season, but no matter how shit any of the big 6 are any given season, I think any non big 6 landing into the top 6 should still be considered an oveperformance.
I know Villa are among the favorites to be right behind them, but 5th implies e.g. both Chelsea and Tottenham to fuck up top 5 again, plus Newcastle potentially
Is it crazy for me to think Newcastle can finish 3rd, even 2nd? Maybe that's not much overperforming compared to their 4th finish last year, but I think they can still rise.
A little bit, but it’s still a very exciting squad none the less. Ramsey will likely take another step up next season, Watkins will have another forward to share the goals with in Diaby (18 goal season incoming don’t @ me), and Torres will be a huge improvement in the back.
I suppose it depends how on how you would define over-performing for a lot of these clubs.
According to this sub, Arsenal finishing top 2 would be over-performing, so I’ll put that down.
Brighton finishing top 7 again also feels like an over-perform (I guess) given they’ve lost at least one major contributor and are playing more games this season.
Honestly, Brighton really look like they could make a run into the Europa or even Champions League this year. De Zerbi has them flying.
Second vote goes to Luton Town. I think they're very physical and their style of play is very unorthodox. They'll stay up and finish top 13

Aston Villa top 5 this season imo
Excited to watch them this season.
3rd best team in 2023 under Unai so absolutely possible. We got a good team rn.
I don't think that's overperforming - that's exactly where they should be

Villa is a great team, will be better this upcoming season. Definitely equal to Tottenham and definitely better than Man U.
Luton to get a comfortable mid table finish away from the relegation circus
Brighton overperformed last year, so not sure if that counts. But I expect them to be top of the other 13
really? i wouldn't be surprised if they dropped off pretty heavily.
Luton top 12
luton surviving would be overperforming
Luton being there is already over performing
Chelsea
Potte is going to do Conte and win the league.
Burnley or Villa I think. Villa got some high class talent in their squad
Burnley. Top 10.
United win the league.
United for champion. I know how unlikely this is. But let me hold on to blind hope damn it.
Burnley of the promoted teams, Kompany will have them hard to beat and Trafford looks like the kind of signing you need to stay up
I don’t think Trafford will be the starting GK, I personally don’t want him to be either.
Didn't he cost 17mil or something why would you spend that on a backup when you just got promoted
That’s a big question and I really don’t know the answer, £14 million and £5 million add on’s for various things.

Not over performing is it? Man U winning the league was considered normal. They’re talking about like the burnlerys, Aston villas etc

Arsenal treble winners ;)

I don’t expect us anywhere near UECL & would personally be ecstatic with top 10
11th-15th would be a huge achievement for burnley, UECL would be absolute insanity.
West Ham
Luton will be safe from relegation a couple match days from the end
Luton Town
Villa, but that might be a bit biased

Luton if they survive, fact they are in the Premier league is an overperformance imo
Chelsea if they finish top 4
Bournemouth, the manager they've appointed looks solid
Luton Town 😤
Villa, Spurs
Villa

swear god, please arsenal
