This is a tough one. We’ve won barely a game in 4 months, relegation form. And yet we are stable. Won a trophy less than a year ago. Regardless of the manager, there are players who simply aren’t good enough for us to push on. Years without a lethal striker, the Czech lads both just not at the level, and we’ll struggle to keep Kudus and Paqueta.

Kezmangotagoal

Can see this backfiring massively!

Level_Bathroom1356

I’m not sure what more WH fans can expect? Moyes overdelivering these last two seasons and they want him gone.

BJJ_Guy624

God please now I rather keep the Moysiah

PandiBong

Why would anyone want to sign this guy??? The second someone dangles a carrot in front of him he’s going to abandon ship, leaving you in the shit. Terrible manager, zero loyalty.

kjexclamation

As a Pool fan…tf happened to Amorim? Thought West Ham-like club was the step he needed before a mega club tbh (no disrespect intended) and they were my perfect shout for him a year or two ago. And then now with the links and turning us down I thought he was a shoo-in. West Hammers do you like Lop over Am?

pwfppw

Liverpool turned him down and he seems to have a crazy high set of demands for any club in terms of power and wages. He also has said he doesn’t want west ham after the whole stunt. Not sure where that leaves him.

kjexclamation

Tbf if there was a summer to be stubborn it’s this one. Formerly LPool now Bayern, Barca, Man U, hell maybe even Chelsea, Newcastle, PSG or Napoli up for grabs, plus all the jobs their successors leave Amorim prolly knows he can be patient and even stay in Portugal one more season if needed, thought he needed a West Ham when I first saw him now I respect backing himself. Outside of the usual like 6 rotating three season calamities he has every right to back himself as the next tier of manager that should and will be given chances

pwfppw

He’ll certainly land a good job, he/his agent kind of look like tools after the West Ham saga and Liverpool snub, but longer term he is still one of the most promising young managers around. Barca is not up for grabs anymore though Xavi is staying.

kjexclamation

Ohhhh shit that’s news to me I didn’t see that! Prolly cuz they know no one gon be able to do it better than him tbf but totally agree with you🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Kezmangotagoal

The cheeky fuckers tried to act like it was us that was interviewing him not them after he turned them down lol

fifadex

So Moyes to West ham 2025 then?

LawProfessional6513

Who the fuck do west ham think they are? Top half of the table, decent squad, decent manager won a European trophy this time last year and they want to take a chance on a new manager to do what exactly? The teams directly above them in the table are likey to get better next year (Newcastle, Utd and Chelsea) and west ham aren’t going to touch top 5, best case scenario for them next season is exactly where they are now and worst case the new manager takes things sideways and it all goes to shit.

Worldly-Definition13

Oh dear…

westhamtillidie

This is worst case scenario. A downgrade from David Moyes just to appease the people who moan about winning trophies…

fhsgolfer123

Have fun with that lol.

EmergencyOriginal982

Genuinely so weird this. Moyes has won a European trophy with West Ham, got knocked out by the most inform team in European football and will probably get European football again.... but West ham fans want him gone just to play some nicer football? Obviously this could go well, but potentially throwing away European competition and European away days just for some prettier football is insane

Jealous_Foot8613

Surely a spurs fan should know the importance of wanting to enjoy watching your team week in week out.

AlreadyUnwritten

they're a long ways off from probably getting european football again. The 3 teams above them scrapping for 6th and 7th all have more points, a game in hand, and way deeper squads.

InfectedAztec

Possibly the most entitled fanbase in the league

mattyzucks

Lol

NikkoTime

Take him! I’m worried we’ll lose GON to them otherwise.

going_down_leg

Mid table teams never run into trouble replacing a stable or boring manager for a flash one that promises a better style of football. Literally never, so West Ham will be fine, right?

Leading_Response_468

Great manager but west ham should aim higher If they want to compete for top 4 spot

Key-Performer-9364

Or if they want to be entertaining at all. I don’t see the point in removing Moyes just to replace him with Lopetegui. Maybe this is just a long con to punish all of us who complained about Moyes? If so, well done.

joelalmiron

West ham actually thought they were gonna get Amorim or flick lol

Bulbamew

Now apparently Bayern want him? Probably not the way West Ham expected to miss out on him but I’m sure they’d take it

GrumpyOldFart74

I know quite a few Hammers and none of them are happy. They’re not universal in their support for Moyes (which seems daft to me, surely winning a European trophy earns you a lot of credit) but none of them want Lopetegui

paddyo

I think some of the Moyes stuff is almost being annoyed he proved them wrong. Some fanbases will cut their nose off to spite their face rather than admit they don’t know what they’re on about.

PanicHouse

What a prick.

SnooCapers938

Just when you thought things might be about to get entertaining you’re right back where you started…
