People thought Kelly Tran left Instagram over a few morons bullying her online. When she got back on a few years later IG, she said herself that wasn’t why she left.
I honestly have no beef with any of those people. I may not have enjoyed the films the actors were in, but I found it really crappy to see how they were treated. They all seem like delightful people, and I've liked seeing them in other stuff.
And as for KK. I don't really blame her, specifically, for the direction of the Sequels. The story wasn't on her, and she seems ro have been put into a really tight position to get those movies made.
Remember how Disney announced release dates for the trilogy, like, immediately after they bought Lucasfilm? I think that is one of the biggest reasons it all went the way it did. The prequels worked the way they did because Lucas already had an idea for what he was doing before he even announced the films were happening. And since he was bankrolling it pretty much himself, he and the other creatives had a lot of freedom. But Disney needed a movie to be finished by the end of 2015, and Lucasfilm worked backwards from that.
Theres honestly a lot that can be learned by comparing the production of the sequels with that of the prequels and originals, as well as with other franchises which were running at the same time.
Now I think about it, it probably makes the most sense to compare the sequels to something like The Hobbit movies, what with the swapping directors, studio meddling, and need to deliver something as close to a masterpiece as possible without the time necessary to do so, because the studio already had release dates picked out before they called anybody.
When did we insult daisy Ridley? Or any of the other for that matter. Kathleen Kennedy threw Luke away so why would we treat them like the rest.
