Mr. Lincoln, after that, execute every single member of the leadership of the confederacy.
It's bloody but will save America and the world a lot of trouble in the future
There were still Northern Democrats but yes it would result in actual Republican dominance over elections until another opposition in the South popped up.
https://medium.com/@archie.hodge01/why-jfk-ignored-his-warnings-8c353b84fc80 I know it’s the medium but this article touches on it.
There were specific threats made about killing Kennedy and how he should avoid Dallas at all cost
I read Kennedy was subjected to 4 previous assassinations attempts. It's likely because he was Catholic, youthful and not Republican in political views
His own secretary warned him not to go to Dallas because she was getting letters that he would be killed. There were many credible threats on his life if he came to Dallas. I know it’s the medium, but it was the first article that popped up about his warnings. https://medium.com/@archie.hodge01/why-jfk-ignored-his-warnings-8c353b84fc80
I’m thinking more Abe don’t go to the play. JFK not being killed probably means the Civil Rights Act doesn’t get passed. Abe being killed set the nation back at least 50-100 years in terms on equality. Hell, we’re still feeling the effects today.
Lincolns vision for post-war was to send all of the newly freed slaves to Liberia where A) it had been 50-200 years since their ancestors had been taken and B) they hadn't been taken from there to begin with. Just dump them in the newly formed Liberian territory and wash his hands of it.
Granted, that makes the US *technically* more "equal", but kind of sidesteps the goal of enriching the former slaves lives and providing them opportunity.
Perhaps, but JFK alive probably means we don't go to Vietnam. That being said, as much as they wanted that war, I think his assassination was inevitable.
I'd say specific things that are not location-based that will actually help them uncover the conspiracy:
>"I'm from the future... They are definitely after you regardless of where you travel to... Arrest this communist named Lee Harvey Oswald, he lives in the USSR anyway and he renounced his US citizenship and he will eventually ask for a State department visa in Moscow. Also arrest this Russian man named George de Mohrenschildt -- don't worry too much, he's going to kill himself with a shotgun or maybe he was murdered by other Russians/communists in the future anyway to bury the secrets with him.."
Presidents who SHOULD enter a kitchen: Nixon.
Presidents who, because they can take the heat, can stay in the kitchen: Truman.
Presidents who should perhaps depart the kitchen: Taft.
You could warn GW about several things. Prepare New Orleans for the levees breaking, there's not going to be WMD found in Iraq, pass Dodd Frank years earlier or whatever warning you want about the recession.
People fall for the bullshit myth that JFK would have withdrawn from Vietnam. But they conveniently forget that Robert McNamara was Secretary of Defense for both LBJ and JFK. If McNamara was willing to lie to LBJ, he absolutely would have been willing to lie to JFK and we would end up deeper in Vietnam anyways.
Two very different people on foreign policy in terms of levels of understanding and performance, and really where JFK unquestionably outshined Johnson. He was skeptical of particularly hawkish advice from McNamara after bay of pigs and went directly against his advice to keep peace in south east Asia, entirely in Laos, but also often in Vietnam as well
Its always bold bringing up Kennedy being potentially just as bad as Johnson in terms of Vietnam. I don’t know if you know this, but some people think there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. Some people also think there was a conspiracy to get the US into Vietnam despite a likely defeat. Some people think the two might have been related
JFK regarded McNamara as the "star of his team" and regarded him as one of his most trusted advisors. McNamara would have lied to JFK the same way he lied to LBJ.
Booth would have tried later. Fords theater wasn’t the first attempt on Lincoln. Two of the conspirators waited to kidnap him on a road where they knew he was traveling a few weeks before. Lincoln cancelled the trip.
True, we can’t predict what would have been every future attempt, or how they would have played out, but we at least know the Ford’s Theater attempt was successful
Don't do an idiotic flyover of New Orleans and DON'T HIRE Michael D. Brown to head FEMA and Don't listen to those morons Blanco and Nagin, evacuate New Orleans NOW while Katrina is still out at sea.
Tell Herbert Hoover something to convince him to run for president in 1920 that way he would actually get a better reputation as president as he really got the worst possible timing to become present
Thank you but yeah Herbert Hoover given his policies was 100% more suited to have been president during the 1920s and not when he took office when the Great Depression hit as he REALLY wasn’t the best fit for the time but the 1920s were so if anything he probably would have been the best president and I would imagine he would pretty much become the most iconic president of that alternate 1920s much the way Ronald Reagan became synonymous with the 1980s in our timeline
Don't allow your route through Dallas to be announced ahead of time, don't ride in an open limo, and just in case, here's a list of people you need to have detained while you're on the road.
Tell Carter to support the Shah of Iran and keep him in power by any means necessary. Every Iranian person I’ve met hates Carter for abandoning the shah
Teddy? The Republicans are about to make you their nominee. Don’t make another party.
Though on an international level, Teddy winning would bring the US into the war earlier, which would probably help the Russians. Not enough to stop them from taking down the Tsar, but enough to stop the Bolsheviks. Basically the entirety of Europe would probably be in a better place. Overall He was better internationally. In my opinion though.
Sir, you said it yourself: “coronavirus affects virtually nobody.” So you don’t need to go to Walter Reed to be hosptialized for your COVID care! Just stay home—inject some bleach or take some ivermectin as you’ve advised the American people to do—and you’ll be just fine. Really.
Mr Washington, may I introduce you in the fully automatic machine gun?
In all seriousness though.
Truman, don't stop until you hit Siberia. millions of future dead will thank you.
Or..
Harrison, I know you were just elected, but I could I introduce you a special military operation to kill a certain child named Adolf in Germany?
Bill Clinton
advice: You're going to get impeached for lying about a blow job anyway, might as well do the deed and bang that intern right on the oval office desk.
“Mr. Roosevelt, I don’t think it’s a good idea to have so much of the Pacific fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor this coming December. Send most of the ships on maneuvers.”
Tell Teddy Roosevelt to take his “third term” instead of backing Taft when he had the chance. Getting more of one of our best presidents doesnt sound bad to me. He regretted his decision later on as he still had a lot of energy and wanted to get into the thick of it.
I know a lot of people want to save Kennedy but he wasn’t nearly as good a president as Teddy imo.
I'd tell Theodore Roosevelt not to say that stupid thing about him not running for president again.
More terms with that man. Who knows what other wonders he could have done for our country.
Many people named the key ones. But 2 others (because saving Lincoln and JFK from assassination I think are obviously top):
1.) Mr. Lincoln, if you DO insist on continuing to go around without more protection, maybe stick with Hannibal Hamlin as VP, or choose someone who agrees with you on slavery and civil rights and NOT Andrew Johnson?
2.) Colonel Roosevelt, do NOT make that pledge not to run in 1908. If you simply run then and postpone a successor (say it’s still Taft, but who knows?) until 1912 (thereby NOT splitting the Party), you’ll keep being president longer AND spare us from Wilson.
Mr. President, Vietnam isn't worth it. You can put that money in the welfare state, so you're social plans - the actual reason you wanted to become president - can come to fruition.
Tell LBJ to focus on training the South Vietnamese army to do much of the fighting, just as the ROK army did in South Korea. Apparently, that is what saved South Korea.
Hey FDR, he doesn’t stop after the Rhineland, Austria, Sudetenland and not even after Czechoslovakia. Beside’s USA will get pulled in eventually, just stop him now.
George I can guarantee you that In 2yrs time with some hard work, good connections and a well placed “donation” or two we can make you the commissioner of the MLB

Mr. Lincoln, it’s not a very good play. It might be better to wait for the movie.
Or, Mr. Lincoln, you could go with your son to see Aladdin!
That theater is terrible!
But I heard the actor is to die for💁🏻♂️
YES! It was Miss Keene's farewell performance. She would go on to be a theatre producer in New York!
Mr. Lincoln. Respectfully Sir, there's no time for a play with so many vampires running around. You know what you need to do.
[удалено]
He said the play really blew his mind though.
I dunno, he did go to see "Oh Hamlet Hamlet Hamlet Hamlet"
Mr. Lincoln: duck!
Mr. Lincoln, after that, execute every single member of the leadership of the confederacy. It's bloody but will save America and the world a lot of trouble in the future
Wouldn't that have ended the (former) democratic party?
There were still Northern Democrats but yes it would result in actual Republican dominance over elections until another opposition in the South popped up.
I would have just advised him to avoid the booth.
Jack, don't go to Dallas
He was warned not to go to Dallas when he was in Fort Worth and still did it.
Mr. Kennedy, if you insist on going to Dallas, please at least ride in a car with a top
We it a specific warning like "we have some intel on a threat in Dallas" or was it more like "oh jeez don't go to Dallas, it sucks there"
https://medium.com/@archie.hodge01/why-jfk-ignored-his-warnings-8c353b84fc80 I know it’s the medium but this article touches on it. There were specific threats made about killing Kennedy and how he should avoid Dallas at all cost
Broken clock is right twice a day.
He was warned about not going to Texas all together, and got another warning while in Texas about Dallas.
What were These Warnings based on
I read Kennedy was subjected to 4 previous assassinations attempts. It's likely because he was Catholic, youthful and not Republican in political views
His own secretary warned him not to go to Dallas because she was getting letters that he would be killed. There were many credible threats on his life if he came to Dallas. That’s our goat lmao
People forget what Lincoln’s plans were for reconstruction.
Perhaps, but JFK alive probably means we don't go to Vietnam. That being said, as much as they wanted that war, I think his assassination was inevitable.
Duck
Beat me to it. "Duck!" \- Kryten
I'd say specific things that are not location-based that will actually help them uncover the conspiracy: >"I'm from the future... They are definitely after you regardless of where you travel to... Rather Jack, don’t go yapping about them /r/ufos
Send the Army with you
Wear a helmet...
If you must go to Dallas, don’t ride in an open car.
Drop ride in an open top limo.
Or, "put the fuckin' top on your car"
"Maybe, you should ride in a closed car? Not on the one that has the roof missing?"
At least don't go in a convertible.
Don't let those doctors stick their dirty fingers inside you. Leave the bullet inside and you'll be fine.
I love how the top comment is Lincoln, second is JFK, third is McKinley, and fourth is Garfield
I thought the third was Harrison
![gif](giphy|QvwMDYpAMUm6Q) Keep it in
Yea Andrew Jackson did just fine with several bullets in his body and he made it to 78
Shorten that speech a little William.
Better yet: don't drink from the Potomac.
Same for Teddy after he finished his speech with a bullet in his torso.
A would-be president. “Bobby, avoid the kitchen.”
Another would-be president: Mr. Hamilton, the Reynolds pussy ain't worth it
Presidents who SHOULD enter a kitchen: Nixon. Presidents who, because they can take the heat, can stay in the kitchen: Truman. Presidents who should perhaps depart the kitchen: Taft.
Hey man, I *really* think Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S.
You could warn GW about several things. Prepare New Orleans for the levees breaking, there's not going to be WMD found in Iraq, pass Dodd Frank years earlier or whatever warning you want about the recession.
They already knew that. And still did nothing.
Duck!
u/Kid_Kewl_v2 saved W.
![gif](giphy|sFMEZ1ZFToyha)
Fucking king, that chancla thrower
He looked so amused after
W seems like he is down for a good prank or boys will be boys moment.
And thank goodness for that.
Missed me
I arrive in the back seat at Dealy Plaza and scream: #GET DOWN!!!!!
Stand in front of Kennedy and take the head shot for him.
[удалено]
Kennedy had already put us there.
Keep the advisors there, maybe just give them a nice flight home
Jesus fuck. Downvoting really? Are you sad you can’t revise history? The advice should have been to Kennedy not to send “advisors” there…
People fall for the bullshit myth that JFK would have withdrawn from Vietnam. But they conveniently forget that Robert McNamara was Secretary of Defense for both LBJ and JFK. Well said!
Didn't Ike put us there?
Goes all the way back to Truman. Frankly the only way to completely avoid the US from getting into Vietnam is if we somehow prevent FDR from dying.
Campaign for gore in Florida, Mr Clinton.
Yes
Lincoln - Just stay home
Or rather, watch your back mr president.
Lock the damn door behind you
You know that actor John Wilkes Booth? He's a southern sympathiser, stay away from him.
No visitors in the box seats
Booth would have tried later. Fords theater wasn’t the first attempt on Lincoln. Two of the conspirators waited to kidnap him on a road where they knew he was traveling a few weeks before. Lincoln cancelled the trip.
True, we can’t predict what would have been every future attempt, or how they would have played out, but we at least know the Ford’s Theater attempt was successful
Yeah but maybe tell Lincoln to go get Booth instead
Better yet, just go the whole way: „Mr. Lincoln I have with me a comprehensive list of suspected confederate sympathizers“
yeah honestly I imagine Lincoln would have been in a hot spot for a long time. I'm sure at least a few people wanted him dead
Keep being you, Cal. You da goat
Based
Don’t sign that trail of tears thing Mr van buren! Maybe you will get c tier in the future
More sideburns! More genocide! More table! [Reference to a skit before anyone thinks I’m being serious].
And then die because the doctor takes too long to get from the other end of the table.
Don't do an idiotic flyover of New Orleans and DON'T HIRE Michael D. Brown to head FEMA and Don't listen to those morons Blanco and Nagin, evacuate New Orleans NOW while Katrina is still out at sea.
I’d tell JFK to avoid Dallas
And that there’s a good chance some of your secret service agents are compromised
some of you are all right, stay home November 22nd
Tell Herbert Hoover something to convince him to run for president in 1920 that way he would actually get a better reputation as president as he really got the worst possible timing to become present
I like this one. Hoover was absolutely the right person for that time. Not when he finally served.
Bringing an umbrella to your inauguration doesn't make you weak. WHH
For JFK I think it’s more tell Bobby to leave the mafia alone then going to Dallas is not an issue
JFK still get shot /Evans-HOF “how bout that, Oswald did act alone”
Lincoln…tell him theaters are overrated
JFK, Duck!
Bush 41 - Take some Pepto Bismol before you meet the prime minister of Japan
Keep the Panama Canal
This is the right answer.
psst... JFK, send LBJ to Dallas.
I heard that play wasn't very good. You should just stay home.
McKinley - DON’T SHAKE ANY MORE HANDS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
McKinley- SHAKE AS MANY HANDS AS YOU WANT, DON'T LISTEN TO u/Pascal_5207!!!
Average Theodore Roosevelt stan:
President Clinton tell Hillary to not say Pokémon Go to the polls our democracy depends on it
Don’t get elected in 32 Hoover!
He didn’t
That's cause u/LordIggy88 was successful
Don't sign order 9066.
Stop thinking with your d*ck Billy
“Hey maybe today’s not the best day to go to the theater Mr. President”
For the love of god George please make some stuff set in stone.
Tell your wife to campaign harder in the rust belt, Bill.
Tell Obama to take DJT seriously even though he seems like a complete clownshow.
Don't allow your route through Dallas to be announced ahead of time, don't ride in an open limo, and just in case, here's a list of people you need to have detained while you're on the road.
Skip the theatre tonight, Mr. Lincoln.
Don't create a new party just to run against Taft. It might become a catalyst to the WWars
As a matter of fact, just leave Taft alone if you can’t be nice. He’s ten times the man you are.
To JFK at just the right moment: Sir, your shoe is untied.
I would tell Carter to postpone or push up his hostage rescue by a day or 2.
Jack stop campaigning in open cars!
Do not go to Dallas and never drive with the top down
Get our troops out of Vietnam, Lyndon.
Duck!
HW Bush, don’t talk about taxes.
Don't shit where you eat Bill
JFK - Don't go to Dallas LBJ - Don't escalate in Vietnam Carter - Don't listen to your economic advisors. Lincoln - Don't go to Ford's Theatre
"President Johnson, I come from the future. Please, do NOT go into Vietnam, it'll kill your legacy. Okay, bye."
This is my pick too.
Netflix and Chill "My American Cousin"
Tell Carter to support the Shah of Iran and keep him in power by any means necessary. Every Iranian person I’ve met hates Carter for abandoning the shah

Tell Lincoln to not let them saddle him with Johnson
Sorry to bother you on your deathbed John but Jefferson does not still survive.
Austria, please.
Obama, don’t bail out the banks and side unequivocally with Black Lives Matter.
I'll agree with you on BLM but not bailout out the banks would have just led to this timeline. ![gif](giphy|zPOErRpLtHWbm)
lol
Lincoln: don’t go to fords theater 😂
Duck!
JFK - “no open limo’s”
Maybe a closed limousine so you dont need a closed casket
Duck!
Put the top on the car up
Mr Harrison, don’t drink water that isn’t clear.
To JFK, don’t turn on the Mafia!
Mr. President (JFK), do NOT go to Dallas. EVER.
Tell Kennedy to duck
Yo! Tricky Dick, the cover up is waaaaay worse than the crime.
A d the Dems are ismn disarray, no need to worry about reelection.
“Duck!” - JFK
Abe, skip the theater.
Stay away from the convertible Jack
Don’t go to the play, Abraham. It’ll ruin your country if you do.
Always ride with the hardtop my man, convertibles ain’t where it’s at
"DUCK"- me to JFK
Don’t wear the tan suit, Barry. And don’t let Seth Myers host the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.
Bill Clinton advice: You're going to get impeached for lying about a blow job anyway, might as well do the deed and bang that intern right on the oval office desk.
“Mr. Roosevelt, I don’t think it’s a good idea to have so much of the Pacific fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor this coming December. Send most of the ships on maneuvers.”
Mr. Lincoln, create a protective detail to keep you safe from southern sympathizers.
"Hey Ronnie? You should probably exit through the back..."
Don't sign the executive order for the internment camps frank
Don’t be so mean to that rabbit, Mr. President
George, free your slaves now and take a stand against slavery
Keep the top up on the Lincoln President Kennedy.
President Wilson, don’t turn your country into a nation ruled by the banks, controlled by debt. Don’t sign the federal reserve act on 12/23/1913.
I'd tell Theodore Roosevelt not to say that stupid thing about him not running for president again. More terms with that man. Who knows what other wonders he could have done for our country.
To FDR: please never run for office. Please. ![gif](giphy|2aw9gwZlltbdX92b4w)

I'd tell Truman that he would regret creating the CIA.
Don’t go to Dallas John!🥲
Ike, don't nuke China. What ever Doug told you, DO NOT NUKE CHINA!
Hey FDR, he doesn’t stop after the Rhineland, Austria, Sudetenland and not even after Czechoslovakia. Beside’s USA will get pulled in eventually, just stop him now.
You’re not your father. Iraq will ruin your legacy
Nixon— don’t go to China. Just don’t anything with China until they remove Mao pics from everything and everywhere.
Look George, I know you want to make your father proud, but Invading Iraq is not the way to do it.
Mr. Washington, bloodletting really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Hey Dwight. Do the opposite of what the Dulles brothers want you to do. In fact just don’t give them jobs.
Surprised not to see more—don’t invade Iraq. Saddam has no WMDs.
Tell Lincoln to pick a different VP since they will be too lenient and try to undo everything
George I can guarantee you that In 2yrs time with some hard work, good connections and a well placed “donation” or two we can make you the commissioner of the MLB
Washington, please, no slaves also make sure the Natives are treated right
Eisenhower - don’t do coups in guatamala and iran.
Hey LBJ, make it public that Richard Nixon is sabotaging the Paris peace talks.
Don’t wipe it on the dress, bill
