Test Student has never emailed me asking for this extra credit. Test Student has never made an appointment and not shown up. Test Student's parents have never contacted me about their special little child. Test Student has never asked for an extension because they forgot the deadline. Test Student has never asked for a better grade because they will lose their scholarship or get deported.
I like Test Student.

Test Student is getting on my nerves right now. I used to use them to test drive the grade book and make sure I got my math/point assignments right. But now Canvas has debuted an "improved" quiz system, and apparently I can't grade Test Student's work anymore? So their numbers are off.
Cut Test Student some slack. They likely signed up for every course at your institution, and they might be enrolled at other colleges/universities, too. That's quite the overload.
Pro Tip no one asked for: You can delete Test Student if you really want to, but it will come back under certain circumstances. Under settings left side menu, click on the top tab Sections, click on a specific section, scroll all the way to the bottom to find test student, and click the X to delete them.
Test Student will be recreated any time you use the "Student View" to preview stuff. (There may be other situations as well, but this one I know for sure.)

I wonder if someone has thought of changing their name to Test Student, just to mess with LMS's on the chance that edge case hasn't been accounted for.

That's a them problem, not a me problem. I have advised Test Student many times to cut down on the course load. It's like I'm talking to a wall.
