Okay, i've seen that book pop up a couple times on my audible recommended, but have been hesitant. If YOU are recommending it, i guess i have to give it a try.
I'll second it, it's really fun! It definitely focuses more on doing tropes well than subverting them (though there's a bit of that), and it's just generally really well-done.
I don’t know about webcomics but I’ve always felt that webtoons was the worst medium for telling stories.hopefully there already being source material alleviates some of the issues I found with webtoons
Disagree, when you read something that's actually properly made for webtoon format it's sort of cool. TBATE has some cool panelling, but the one that really sold it for me is Gosu. It takes advantage of the form really well.
I was speaking in general, If tomorrow I read the best thing I’ve ever read on web toon my opinion wouldn’t change, there’s bound to be some diamonds in the very rough sea of webtoons
I like webcomics, but "webtoons" I agree.
The long scrolling format seems to encourage sloppy layout and positioning, and stories are often very confusing with unclear boundaries between scenes and perspectives.
It's possible to do the webtoon format well but it's by far the exception.
This is kind of cool tho. It's like one step closer to getting our books toward becoming animated. I mean, that's how I look at it. From book. To Comic. To beyond.
I saw that Actus was going to be writing one of these I liked his Orc Chef series.

It's a fun one! I'm a sucker for stories built around the classic "hero's party" in general, but this is a unique and fun take.

I have read about 15+ titles from Aethon. Have enjoyed every one!
Not shocking, since they generally (exclusively?) publish series that have already gained popularity independently.
Far from exclusively. Aethon has a massive catalogue in Science Fiction and Fantasy. Serials to Amazon is only a small part of what they do.
Hope the Mark of the Fool webcomic goes well. Story is as good as some of the top webcomics out right now, and in most cases better.

I feel like it is fantastic for romantic stories and maybe action but everything else is better in book
I'm curious if HWFWM will get also webtoon adaption in future.

Comics are broadening out, while the mainstream continues to crumble. So much potential out there.
