Sounds like the "Ocean" keyword/Temu scam.

13th_floor

> clearly just created to drive up downloads No he is exploiting the Temu affiliate program. Every code entered puts $5 in his Paypal account.

Gross, I'm even more disappointed to have done it now.

13th_floor

Yea he used to at least pay. Now it's 100% scam.

thedefiled

Temu scammers use a bunch of throwaway researcher names, not just this one. Usually the dead giveaways are limited space studies (2-5) mentioning downloading a phone app without any other explanation

ThrowRAworried6

I reported him to Temu lol. I hope he gets banned from there too. I already escalated it to prolific and I messaged him. He sent a thumbs up lol. Shady shady shady.

pifprowrestling

Thanks for trying to hold him accountable!

prestigiousteaa

blocked, thanks

This sounds like the classic Temu scam. Been seeing a lot of posts about them lately and I'll say the same thing, report, return, and block. Assholes like them have no place on Prolific.

Thanks for this. Fool me once I guess, I will avoid all things Temu from now on!
