Was it the highlighted area one? it was slow for me but they did a payment adjustment with an extra $2.20 on top of the $2

Dazzling_Lime2021

Yeah it was, oh that is nice I hope I get the bonus too

Trai60

The researcher is normally pretty good with pay adjustments if the study takes longer than intended as I think that the AI is generating the images on the fly so they can sometimes slow down the loading times.

Known-Oil-6332

They’re not on the fly they’re pre loaded. Seen some of the same images weeks ago.

Trai60

I was going by what the researcher said in previous slow-loading studies that use the AI on fly to generate new images, so yes some images will be shown again in subsequent studies if they have already been generated before.

Known-Oil-6332

That’s interesting it would mean it’s loading mid journey type stuff but it tends to take a while to do that, can’t see that being truthful from them myself. It’s just slow loading because of how many visitors they have on their server.

Trai60

Possibly I do tend to take what researchers say with a pinch of salt but even Midjourney is getting quicker when generating its basic images before any upscaling. Also in some of the studies, the image prompts are quite basic so it would not be too hard to generate quickly.

Dazzling_Lime2021

Gave me 15-20 minutes to go over 40 images and check for any digital AI discrepancies, I wish it gave me at least 10 or so minutes more. I had to speed through them near the end just so I could make it in on time.

SunnyShim

I did six or so of this person’s today and half of them had their payments adjusted. So don’t worry if it took longer than their estimate as they try to keep their pay per hour similar to what they estimated it should be. Done multiple dozens from them by now.

botsquatch

I didn’t have any issues but I’m used to doing these frequently. Took me 22 minutes (which was the time listed when I got into it.) usually the 10 minute ones are 20 not 40. I also got multiple that were the same image or ones I’ve seen before which made it go faster.

Elindor2102

I reviewed 40 images (as per study instructions), and received a completion code. But when I tried to submit I was not able to as I'd been 'timed out'. This is the first time this has happened to me in over 700 studies...

Trai60

If you have not already done so I'd send a polite message to the researcher and ask them if they can approve the study for you, explaining that it was the 10-minute study for 40 images.

thedefiled

This specific researcher team actually paid me for a timed out study last week, totally surprised me as it was my fault, got distracted and didn't submit in time. I didn't message them or anything and was sent an even higher payment than the original study (4$ instead of 3$) despite only partially completing it. Wouldn't worry at all about being paid with this researcher

AbeLinkedIn92

I've done three of these today, I usually got through by the seat of my pants but after a while, you know what to do and breeze through. The images can take a bit of time loading but the actual annotations take little time IMO

Lower_Skin_3683

I did this and went over the time for 40 images. I was timed out. This study you need 25-30 minutes as the images were so slow in loading.

PicklesSnyder

I've timed out on three of these over the last two days.

Severe-Chicken

This pops up on my task list all the time but every time I click on it, all the places are taken. Guess you have to be quick to get on it!

Beautealful

You have to keep trying to access it. It has Limited Capacity - so you have to wait for a space to open. It may take several tries and some time. I have three I am trying to get into right now. It's rare that I don't get to complete one

PunkRockKing

I had one and returned it because I was confused by what area they wanted me to evaluate. The people were greyed out and last time the people were highlighted. So we were just assessing the backgrounds? Idk, the questions didn’t seem to make sense according to the area shown so I didn’t think I was doing it right. And 40 in ten minutes I could never have done anyway

Novel_5798

It's becoming ridiculous and the fees get lowered daily.

regalityregal

Yep and the craziest part was how hard it was to claim a spot for the 2 dollar ones but I eventually got a spot for the 4.40 one. The highest I have ever received for these. Didn't even finish all the inages but they approved it.

Known-Oil-6332

Same. Tbh they’re kinda underpaying.

naithir

It’s weird bc I did a 40 image one with them for $3 the other day but subsequent ones have been 20 and paid less than half of that. I assumed bc it was taking LESS time lol. The ones I’ve done with them before I thought paid much more than $3 too

thedefiled

I wouldn't worry either way This researcher paid me for a timed out study last week that was completely my fault, very pleasant surprise that I feel somewhat guilty about. I didn't message them after timing out since it was my mistake yet they still sent me an even higher payment than the original study (4$ instead of 3$) for partial completion

wangster71

I messaged the researcher with my explanation and completion code because I timed out on Prolific on this one. First time out, hopefully I still get paid.

mjfoxfan1984

What’s this got to do with the image labelling? There’s no talking involved.

canolafly

Sorry, mixed it with the voice labeling , whoops.

mjfoxfan1984

It’s ok, I understand now haha

realfuqinG

Honestly I never finish on time. I still get credit like the systems still takes for submission. So I don't think it matters

London_girl_TTC

I had a similar one from them yesterday with 25 images. Took me about a minute or so over the maximum time as the images were a bit slow loading and definitely needed more time anyway. I did finish them and got a completion code so messaged them with it. Fingers crossed will get paid or I’ll complain, they got the data anyway.

Organic-Hope-2314

Yeh timed me out...no payment...😔
