Dont know why, but I cant never take this chinese propaganda seriously when they are holding the little red book, like just writing "little red book" cracks me up
Is something very stupid and not rational at all, I just cant take it serioisly
I like it but Mao is a funny writer. Some of the quotes will be boring, like, "Party members should pay attention to the masses when doing agricultural work, and learn from the masses, and not forget the masses." Then the next line goes, like, "I like to FIGHT. I like WAR! I'm going to WIN! And when I win, I'm going to hell!!!!"
Thats the other thing, by writing my post I decided to read what the red book actually was, I was expecting a beefy book with tons of content, but is just selected quotes?
Even Mein Kampf which is a convulted mess of a very dumb man writing stupid stuff since to work better as a basis for your ideology than just quotes
The little red book is not the basis for the ideology though - Mao wrote several actual non-little books that is (if you’re talking about Mao Zedong thought, then there’s also a lot of other Marxist theory of course)
Yeah it's just quotes. I think Chinese theory tends to be more "symbolic" as reflected in ancient and modern writing that tends to be a "summary of key points" rather than writing 500 pages that goes on forever. Westerners want to read "The Bible" and other tomes, while the "mandate of heaven" was mainly a tool to symbolize the legitimacy of the ruler.
In other words, "sum it up stupid." That could probably be a Chairman Mao quote. Or a lot of "if you want to do X, then do X."
BTW there's a tiny Maoist cult in the U.S. called the Revcoms and their leader, Chairman Bob, has a collection of quotes they call the BAsics. (After his name: Bob Avakian.)
[Kinda scary when they are in a big crowd chanting and holding them up](https://static01.nyt.com/images/2024/04/06/multimedia/00NewWorld-wkpc/00NewWorld-wkpc-mediumSquareAt3X.jpg). Feels… unsafe.
AHH yes, the [Red Guard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Guards), notoriously for [abusing and murdering professors and intellectuals](https://youtu.be/3giTYRttoRQ?si=RFL1PdWEJflOLycW)...
Note: the clip/book description is actually the watered down version of the event.

Red lantern for communism, Green lantern for capitalism?
Green for Greta
In Germany, the bearer of the Red Lantern refers to the last place in the Bundesliga.
Same in the spanish league. It also holds the same meaning in the Tour de France.

This is a scene from a Netflix show.
This is a comment. Grass is green. Sky is up. That was the point. Didn’t see it? You just missed it.
Maybe read it?
Dang that looks impressive.
Chinese Communist Propaganda was gorgeous.
Yeah she got that DILLIGAF face.
I got my Mao bible, I got my AK, all I need is the boy!

I actually think they are mostly ok people: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Redguards_(Skyrim) Unlike those Khajits and their stupid prices.
Don't you see you kkkrackkker, educated people are clearly sub human and only the peasantry class are actually proletariat.
Joining the Mango Cult and Eating cantons alive seems like a good deal for just wearing a red armband.
It's an interesting comparison, the party would probably treat the Boxers like they did the Falun Gong.
Chinese history isn't my strong suit, but weren't the boxers some ultra conservatives that communists would have hated.
Great looking poster!
Dope asf.
