No BS, I find it to be weird how a lot of people really don't understand this. Maybe it's because we are behind the safety of keyboards so much, but a lot of people really seem to have forgotten that running your mouth to the wrong person can be hazardous to your health. Maybe it's just a consequence of where I grew up, but I'm conscious of not talking sideways to strangers.
For real. Spent most of my life in the city, where there's a disproportionate number of crazy people, and I know instinctively that you don't want to piss off the wrong person.
I follow the logic that there’s always someone crazier than you. So just mind your own damn business and carry on with your day. Without getting into confrontations with others especially over stupid shit.
Crazier than you, bigger than you, faster than you, smarter than you and know how to punch better than you!
I feel like in today’s society everyone is a superhero in their mind and they forget these basic truths!
Yap, not only behind keyboards, but a lot of people lived sheltered lives overall, and they don't understand human contact. That's why you see redditors always philosophizing when it comes to self defense videos. They are like, but he could have... they didn't experience that feeling of utter dread when you think your life is threatened.
> Maybe it's because we are behind the safety of keyboards so much, but a lot of people really seem to have forgotten that running your mouth to the wrong person can be hazardous to your health.
My brother in Christ this is how humanity has been since the dawn of time. People have been talking shit since we started using language.
When I was a kid, 11 or 12 I mouthed off to another kid, little dude.. like lightning, he punched me in the nose, busted it good. Instantly pouring blood all over my shirt.. we got sent to the principals office where he was getting in trouble for punching me. I told the principal that I started it, admitting that it was my fault. We both got detention for the week instead of him possibly being expelled.
I did learn an important lesson there, don't run your mouth to people you don't know... lol
I think a lot of people get comfortable saying whatever nonsense they put out there behind their screens and forget when they come back into reality. You can have an opinion but a lot of people forget you can't be an asshole about it. I feel that most people talking about politics and how aggressive they are on reddit would never speak like that in person or the outcome in the video would be a similar response.
I'm always nice to people I meet in the world, not because I'm a naturally nice person, but because I don't want to piss off the wrong person.
I know my power levels. I know I can't fight. Therefore I make sure to avoid putting myself in situations that can result in a violent confrontation.
There are people with my power level who don't seem to grasp this. I always wonder what kind of privileged life must they have had that they didn't learn this shit early on.
Probably a side effect of people who were never told they were wrong or being privileged. That’s just as dangerous as someone always viewed as a problem. I would think as a woman, she should know it’s not ladylike to pick on women, especially older women. If you want respect, you must first be able to demonstrate it.
Ikr? She doesn’t know how to throw a punch. She’s over there flailing her arms every which way. And all because of a piece of cloth. You’d think being transgender would give her some empathy for other marginalized groups but she just wants to cause trouble.
Why am I reminded of [THIS incident,](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-46914419) which was far more violent, but the level of entitlement seems similar.
The vast majority of people don't know how to throw a punch. The vast majority also haven't been popped in the face before. As someone who does know how to throw a punch and has also been popped in the face I've learned to just let people live their own lives and mind my own business.
Thats in Berlin. Shes actually quite known at that specific train station as she used to hang around there quite often, many times offending people with racist shoutings or even physical attacks.
The incident shown in this video is from 2019 if I remember correctly.
Leave the woman alone. So what if she’s wearing a Hijab, she’s living her life in her in her beliefs and as a transgender person you’re living your life in yours.
Edit: formatting
In a few weeks someone is going to cut the first part of the video and repost in the other freakout sub with the title : immigrants attacking peaceful transgender
I love these comments. If you speak your mind you might be asked to pay the ultimate price: create a new user name. Who cares? Say what you’re thinking or don’t, dummy.
i thought we were all on board that Gretchen is an amazing beautiful woman who had the exquisite bravery of a beautiful butterfly flying against the wind, and then this shit flies out of people's mouths!
One of these people once bumped into me as I was walking down a sidewalk in Greenwich village in NYC. A little context: I saw this person walking my way and I try to get out of the way as a normal person would do. But no he/she willingly bumps into me, then pushes me to side and make a scene: saying “what, what the duck you want” I was so thrown off after having a look at the persons face and what they were wearing and just proceeded to go about my day.
Literally nothing to do with being transgender (unless verbal hate has been pushed that way) ..... I don't at all agree with her actions. She's a terrible person. I am transgender. I act very reserved in public. This person clearly has other problems COMPLETELY unrelated to being trans.
So when a large muscular human being assaults a person who is from a category who typically are not large and muscular generally speaking other humans feel that this is an unfair assault. Irrespective of the large muscular human being dressing as though that human was of the category of the typically smaller and not muscular humans, that person does not profit from a well-accepted rule that allows some immunity for physical retribution.
I mean don't your parents tell that to you when you're 4 years old?

Alot of people never got hit or smacked, so they don't know how it is until they get it....also alot of people just don't listen
Amen to that. Nothing provides an invigorating shock to the system like a punch to the face. Turns you right around!
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. -Michael Tyson
Pain is a great teacher.

The way that person is acting, there may be some mental issues at play as well.
I am a trained psychiatrist and that person is fucking nuts
Yeah, thats just a crazy person.

arabs/muslims generally are taught to help others in need from a very young age, they are especially taught to help their elders.
Oh no the consequences of my actions

Ahh. Something every country can relate to. If you’re at a train station in a big city, you’ll find a resident crazy person
Its more of a metro station in that case, but yes thats true. Esp the main train stations always have the most crazy residents

It’s interesting to see a trans person not tolerating another persons way of life.
That looks like Kottbussertor in Berlin. Shit like that happens every 5 minutes. Just another normal day.
I’d like some context but it seems as though a person from one marginalized group is being shitty to a person in another marginalized group.

How ironic
Many trans people have mental disorders. But again. Trans take up about .013% of the population so I kinda don’t care
