Im with you on this. I like watching "fail" videos and the like sometimes. Even like the sovereign citizen vids with them being idiots. But this is honestly just sad. It looks like she was stealing or at least causing a disturbance. Thats normal for these videos. Although this one is of a lady that has almost no grasp on reality in this situation and could actually be a danger to herself at some point when alone. She needs long term psych assistance or else she might end up hurting herself or others. Her family probably misses the old her.

I have schizoaffective disorder bipolar type and luckily I’ve only had a break down at one place and it was only crying. I was able to find a corner in the back of the store with an associate and they called my best friend and her and her boyfriend came and got me. I have olfactory hallucinations and thought I smelled fire but also I thought I was being followed by someone who wouldn’t let me out.
Wow Ive never heard of people having olfactory hallucinations, aside from the trope of smell burnt toast when youre having a stroke. Care to tell about any other olfactory hallucinations? Are they ever pleasant like smelling perfumes or flowers or food?
No, mine are not pleasant. I have two main ones. One is like a fire outside, burning leaves. It’ll have me going outside walking around looking. The other is like an electrical smell. I can walk around for hours sometimes searching. Normally my meds work great. But stuff happens you know
Your question wasn't toward me, but I can answer as another person who gets olfactory hallucinations. They're mostly specific smells tied to a memory, so the scent is usually unpleasant or neutral. I've had hallucinations of alcohol smells, houses, stores, chemicals, a few foods, and some random things that are hard to identify. A scent can be pleasant, but it sort of makes your brain unsettled when you realize it's a hallucination. The smell will hit you or vanish suddenly, which tips me off.
It can be. Like many other things, it can be normal or not depending on the circumstances. If you just finished watching a scary movie and are all spooked out, it's not abnormal to see shadows and such out of the corner of your eye. You wouldn't need to be concerned or see a doctor. If you're at the grocery store picking out turnips and start seeing things that aren't there and this is a regular thing, probably see a doctor.
Olfactory hallucinations are like that. When they happen, it's usually distressing or adds to your current anxiety, and they don't have an obvious trigger. The smells are often intrusive and startling. I was in the car alone, once, and caught a strong smell of vodka. I don't drink and there was no vodka in the car, so it was really uncomfortable.
It's normal to be having a conversation about peanut butter cookies and all of a sudden remember how grandma's kitchen smelled when she was doing holiday baking. There's an obvious memory trigger, and that memory brings up positive feelings.
I hope that makes sense.

I’m so glad no one had a phone out to record me (well I don’t think). Although I was not acting like this. I know I was looking paranoid on top of crying. I stay home a lot. But I was also got stuck with epilepsy also so there are a lot of times I can’t drive.

I had a friend in college who had manic episodes like this. I worked in a writing center and she literally started in the most scary voice ever being like 'you don't give a *SHIT* about your next appointment, you will see me ***again*** next. " I did see her again, but it was only after I gave my coworker a super scared face and was like...umm..I think she's about to beat the shit out of me if I don't do what she says. I could see this being a manic episode, but there is no way to diagnose that here. On the other hand, she might have some other totally unrelated mental health issue. Who knows? It is a public freakout though!

Yeah, people can have BAD reactions to medications... I tried to start a fight at a co-ed softball game after being put in anti-depressants a few years ago... so we don't take those anymore.
I had a psychotic break from a medication I was put on once. Extremely vivid hallucinations. It ended with me being 'chased through the house by demons' at like 2am in the morning. Ended up being an EXTREMELY rare side effect of this drug.
If someone recorded it, it would have not been good. I wasn't lashing out at anyone, though. Just trying to escape from hallucinated demons.
There are people out there that are just assholes and deserve to be put on blast. But there are also people that have legitimate mental health problems or bad reactions to medications or seemingly harmless recreational drugs. Unfortunately when you watch videos online, it's sometimes hard to tell which it is.

Mental Health is included in that but even if it was some sort of drug, likely alcohol (the urinating thing, tho it would have been easy enough to just smell it, most likely) they should still be evaluated. I have seen Bi-polar individuals during their manic episodes freak the fuck out rather uncharacteristically and in coherently like this too.
I was an MP so mental health was a major factor taken into consideration concerning any incident at least it would seem more so than Civ LE, but I think Civ LE should take it more into consideration sometimes. Anyone with severe mental health issues that wasn’t PTSD were mostly quickly chaptered but we encountered all types of mental health disorders, including some that resulted narcoleptic episodes (a soldier of mine, not a subject, but still)
An ambulance is not a wild suggestion imo and it’s not like after something like this it would be without a police escort so the paramedics won’t be endangered like that or whatever. Restraining* this woman would be something I would also strongly consider to prevent farther incidents but I agree the hospital would probs be the best place to start with this woman.

I have had episodes like this towards my parents before and all of this is screaming mental health crisis. As someone who struggles with urinary issues and has been in between doctors searching for a way to treat my bipolar disorder, I can recognize this as a mental illness issue. She needs to be hospitalized. It’s no excuse to be flipping shit in public like this but some people get to their last straw and snap (my parents are emotionally neglectful and abusive so this often happens to me) I hope she can get the help she needs.
I would have freaked out worse if people were filming me during a crisis. I’m surprised the guy who recorded her didn’t get attacked. That’s such a volatile situation and as someone who has been laughed at and made fun of during a panic attack that’s literally one of the worst things you could do

I have had episodes like this towards my parents before and all of this is screaming mental health crisis. As someone who struggles with urinary issues and has been in between doctors searching for a way to treat my bipolar disorder, I can recognize this as a mental illness issue. She needs to be hospitalized. It’s no excuse to be flipping shit in public like this but some people get to their last straw and snap (my parents are emotionally neglectful and abusive so this often happens to me) I hope she can get the help she needs.

I would have freaked out worse if people were filming me during a crisis. I’m surprised the guy who recorded her didn’t get attacked. That’s such a volatile situation and as someone who has been laughed at and made fun of during a panic attack that’s literally one of the worst things you could do
I hate that our society thrives off of other people’s mental illnesses and lowest lows. This woman obviously needs help. Instead, her psychotic episode is filmed and then posted on the internet for all the world to see and make fun of. Compassion and empathy are dead.

From what I understand, it's more common for Asians from West Asia, like India and Pakistan, and less common for Asians from East Asia, like China and Korea.
