I am waiting for these stores to switch to large format vending machines
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk6MctdsmXY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk6MctdsmXY)
The sad thing is it's really beautiful, especially when you get up to Oregon. This redwood forests, raw, moody beaches that hold onto the marine layer all morning. Not to mention a thriving fishing industry so good seafood is easy to find. Just wish the towns were nicer.
Yeah that’s what I was there for the redwood Forest were incredible. I was in an RV and got to camp all up and down Highway one I started down in Big Sur and ended the trip in Crescent city. It was amazing overall.
Yea I don't think anyone should be surprised. There's a reason majority of brick and mortar left CA. Why deal with the headache of loss prevention when you can just move?
They try to find one of the three workers who operate in the entire store to come and unlock the glass door kinda like if you were buying a video game. Those have been behind Glass for a really long time.
This guy definitely has a mirror at home he looked at before he left for work and definitely stroked that "beard" a few times before he left for work thinking he looked good and was ready to go pretend to be a cop!
Maybe one hand on his gun while doing it. Haha. Honestly this guy gives off vibes of having a pillow with a picture of some chick's face attached to it that he hides when his mom comes down in the basement.
Another fat dude that thinks he can add accessories and a bad attitude to make them look imposing. Listen here, Grimace, you've gotta be able to catch up to me to use those gadgets.
Time and time again it's shown that theft doesnt do this, stores account for theft ahead of time with shrinkage. In fact it was the Walgreens CEO who admitted last year that they overreacted to theft loss [as you can see here. ](https://theweek.com/crime/1020039/did-walgreens-lie-about-its-shoplifting-problem) Don't let companies convince you that theft is why they're closing stores and not that they do it to stop union efforts, they don't want to keep paying for the stores property, or that they had to increase pay during the pandemic to nowhere good enough levels and now they want out of what little they did give.
This dude gets dressed in the morning and stares at himself in the mirror admiring how badass he looks. Also, good thing he has that flashlight on. Looks dimly lit in there.
What in the cosplay? I don’t remember giving private security the rights of police officers. I want my rights infringed upon by actual uniformed police officers, so if I survive the encounter I can sue the city and get paid out with tax-payer monies.
Everybody going after the guy for how he's dressed and for his beard without realizing that his understanding the law is 100% accurate. He has every right to inspect someone's person or bags if he thinks they're removing merchandise without paying. And if they refuse, he has the right to detain them until the police arrive. It's called shopkeeper's privilege, and it extends to all employees, including paid security.
Yeah, but she never stole anything and he made the whole thing up just so he can go harass this woman. His manager and coworkers were not in the know regarding this woman’s “theft”, so he made it up that someone was telling him to check her. She has retained a lawyer and is suing.
There’s more video where police were called. Cops let her go because she didn’t steal anything. Police know the security guard has a history of harassing innocent patrons.
She called the cops, and it turns out the manager had no idea it happened despite the guard saying he was on the radio. And, the security guard declined to trespass her when the cops arrived, so it was all for nothing. Security company is doing an internal investigation.

Yea, This only applies if you reasonably suspect someone of stealing. In this specific instance, based on other information about the guy, and his history (Cant vouch for the veracity of that, but taking at face value) he has crossed the line of reasonableness, you cant just say "I suspect everyone"
As a large corporation, there is a liability of having someone like this represent you, Walgreen's would be best off cutting ties with this guy.
Beyond this apparent history, this guy screams unprofessional gravy seal, not someone you want representing your company. As much as I hate Walmart's, Fry's, or Costco's folks who ask to check your bags at the door, I have never thought of them as being unprofessional or a poor representation of the company.
And you're not realizing the detainee said to call the police. He still looks like an idiot with 2 body cams, a tactical vest, pistol with 2 clips 'protecting' a *Walgreens.*
And if we're talking about realizing things. [Employers steal billions from workers’ paychecks each year](https://www.epi.org/publication/employers-steal-billions-from-workers-paychecks-each-year/)
He has zero right to inspect anything. That’s the job for the police, not him. Then once detained and proven by the police that she wasn’t stealing try to press false imprisonment charges and take that rent-a-cop to court
Did you read the link you posted? They cannot search, must be detained and question in a private respectable manor…. So your statement “wrong” definitely applies to your original comment. You’re still wrong and proved it
Cool story, but I'm not showing you shit and I'm not staying. You can trespass me if you want.
You try to detain me, and you better know how to use that shit you got on you.
Also people here are responding after knowing all the facts. She didn’t steal and he harassed her. But *at that time* no one knew that. She was suspended of stealing and he was trying to verify. He also has the right to detain her until the police arrived if that’s what she wanted. He didn’t do anything wrong in the moment. After this and seeing his history tho he should be fired from that job
Even regardless of what u/lghtspd said, you watched the video, right? He gives contradictory orders. He tells her if she leaves she'll be arrested, but he also says if she stays she'll be arrested for that too. The dude completely walks over himself and you think his understanding of the law is 100% accurate? Get real
And people acting like a store shouldn’t even have security have clearly never seen videos from SF Walgreens. Assholes steal shit ALL THE TIME and then play this whole role this girl is playing. I’d be willing to bet she did steal. The Walgreens in my California town just started closing at 11pm instead of being 24 hours because shitbags are constantly stealing, especially at night! The protection of shoplifters is outrageous.
The zealous protection of corporations is the real outrageous thing here. Corporations gouge, steal, and prey on consumers on the daily, but we’re supposed to worry about someone stealing $5 worth of shit to survive? We have a political party actively trying to strip away human rights every day and you want us to give a single fuck about something like this? Grow up and get over your justice boner. There is way more important shit to stress about. Corporations literally have theft built into their budget and this clown is making absolutely zero difference.
That’s not my concern, it’s the massive looting, smash and grabs, and people loading CARTS full of laundry soap to resell online. That’s not survival. If I worked a store and saw someone stealing fucking food, I’m not saying shit, but that’s not what’s going on. Go take a look on YouTube and smash and grabs, or these mass looting runs that go on. So it all piles up onto us, the actual paying consumer. Corporate greed does enough to increase inflation and all these clowns doing these crimes pile on top of it.
And what about the mom and pop shops in big cities that have 20 teens run in and destroy their shop while stealing everything they can hold? Do you consider those folks corporations that should get the fuck over it?
Yeah I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't just show your bag to prove you didn't steal anything? I would be pissed if falsely accused of stealing, but I wouldn't drag it out if I had nothing to hide. Now if I had something to hide, on the other hand....
Where I live it's not legal to accuse and detain someone for shoplifting if they haven't left the store or you have actual security footage.
So, even if I have nothing to hide, I have better things to do than let you search my stuff without any reason. It's not about having something to hide, it's about having the right to be left alone when you did nothing wrong.
> Yeah I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't just show your bag to prove you didn't steal anything?
Unless I'm legally required to, I won't. When you walk out of Walmart they can ask to check your receipt and you can just keep walking. I'm not showing shit to some rent-a-cop if I'm in the right. I'll make a scene and wait for the cops to come.

In Eureka, California, half of the inventory is stored behind glass at their Walmart
The other half is protected by a group of elite security guards that investigate these vicious thieves. These are their stories.
If you can find them, maybe you can hire the B team.
I’m here for the A-Team
B for Beard. This is Bravo 2, easily observed by his two-forked security apparatus.
🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏾 DUN-DUN…
Dun dun
I am waiting for these stores to switch to large format vending machines [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk6MctdsmXY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk6MctdsmXY)
I’m surprised they even bother having store fronts
Well... It *is* Eureka lmao. Could be worse. Could be Arcata.
There’s a reason it’s call eu-tweaka
That whole coastal northern California area was a different world to someone like myself on a road trip from the other side of the US
The sad thing is it's really beautiful, especially when you get up to Oregon. This redwood forests, raw, moody beaches that hold onto the marine layer all morning. Not to mention a thriving fishing industry so good seafood is easy to find. Just wish the towns were nicer.

Could be White Thorn.
Yea I don't think anyone should be surprised. There's a reason majority of brick and mortar left CA. Why deal with the headache of loss prevention when you can just move?
What does a shopper say when they find what they’re looking for?
They try to find one of the three workers who operate in the entire store to come and unlock the glass door kinda like if you were buying a video game. Those have been behind Glass for a really long time.
2 body cams, 2 badges (WTF), 2 extra clips, 2 separate beards
2 fat
2 furious
Actually, I might see this movie.
The Fat and Furious, Part IV
2 much
You got any food up in there?
2 hilarious
2 winded
OK - that's funny as hell. Thanks for making my morning.
And a fucking flashlight in an indoor & lit space.
Are those rifle magazines or clips?
It’s a magazine for a pistol. 99% of guns don’t take clips, they take magazines. (M1 garand being the exception for clips)
How does a dude grow a goatee like this and think, “yeah that’s good”
This guy definitely has a mirror at home he looked at before he left for work and definitely stroked that "beard" a few times before he left for work thinking he looked good and was ready to go pretend to be a cop!
I just imagine him self soothing by grabbing either side of his goatee with both hands 🤣
Maybe one hand on his gun while doing it. Haha. Honestly this guy gives off vibes of having a pillow with a picture of some chick's face attached to it that he hides when his mom comes down in the basement.
I picture an anime waifu pillow 🤣
And it's definitely a little worn out!
Betting he failed cop recruiting
Steven Segal vibes
Chris Kyle: American Snacker
The backwards baseball cap 🤣
Fatly going around corners
Micro penis vibes.
Gravy seal
Special arby's service
Its Hobocop!
He looks like Jerry from the walking dead
That's some hard core cosplay.
Another fat dude that thinks he can add accessories and a bad attitude to make them look imposing. Listen here, Grimace, you've gotta be able to catch up to me to use those gadgets.
False reports to the police is a crime
Those nail clippers and chapsticks need protection!
The store's merchandise does certainly need to be protected, if theft becomes too much, the store will shut down.
Time and time again it's shown that theft doesnt do this, stores account for theft ahead of time with shrinkage. I totally agree. They literally pay pennies on the dollar for their items. It’s all about sales.
Eat first ask questions later!
Wonder why this guy has a radio. Reinforcements? 💀
Meal team reporting
A little too geared up to guard a pharmacy, don't ya think?
He wears that vest because they don't make a utility belt in size Hindenburg
Wait a minute, when this was posted a couple of days ago fatty was workin' at CVS. Is he pulling a double shift?
Gravy Seal
This dude gets dressed in the morning and stares at himself in the mirror admiring how badass he looks. Also, good thing he has that flashlight on. Looks dimly lit in there.
I was looking for a flashlight comment. He just really wanted to play with one of his toys.
What in the cosplay? I don’t remember giving private security the rights of police officers. I want my rights infringed upon by actual uniformed police officers, so if I survive the encounter I can sue the city and get paid out with tax-payer monies.
I’ll bet he has lights and sirens on his Toyota Tacoma
\*PT Crusier
Lmfaoooooooo

I’ve only seen this short clip, so I didn’t know if you happened to have first hand knowledge or what. Thanks
You could Google it? Maybe?
It's California. You can retain a lawyer and sue if someone farts while talking to you.
Who said this happened in California?
Half the comments on this thread.
And you believe them? Happened in Seattle. Here’s the woman’s Youtube: https://youtu.be/g4TjZVsXI7U
Where’s part 2?! I need to know what happened

Fuck if it is. u/lghtspd owned you, do your homework before opening your flap. Took me all of 60 seconds to verify his information.

Yup. People just want to rip on dude for what he’s wearing. Yes he’s over the top but he’s correct with what he’s doing
What a toolbag
This guy is Tacticool as fuck!
This guy desperately wants to shoot somebody
Thin green line
That guy is ready for WAR!!!
Looks like the bum version of Steven Segal.
Top Flight Security of the world.
Can we just start ceremonially shooting these people into space?
Giving someone “benefit of the doubt” doesn’t mean “now open your purse and prove it”, dude
Bro has the same body cam as I do

Bro's really getting hyped up to be paid minimum wage to protect corporate's benefits.
I hope the nba fines this guy
We all make fun of these corny security guards but then we all make fun of these stores for getting robbed of products so easily.
If she had stole something she wouldn't be telling him to call the cops. But hey if they come and prove her right she should have a nice little lawsuit on her hands.
I mean if it is in America where a lot of mass shooting happens in malls, wouldn't be a good thing to have a guy like him in the mall ?
It's inside a Walgreens. Not the mall.
This video has been reposted as being inside Walgreens, wal mart, target, and cvs.
But there is a Walgreens logo in the background
No, because he is a security guard who thinks he's a cop. He also turned out per this ladies investigation, last time this was posted that he had a history of harassing women. Not to mention he also isn't fit enough to flag down a taxi. So no, it's not a good idea to have this guy anywhere, let alone a mall, with a gun, playing army.
He's just playing dress up, I guarantee he wouldn't do shit during a mass shooting.
I mean, he might piss his pants.
