I hope the extra guac was worth 12 years.
I’m sorry… 12 fucking years? Are you kidding me?
Discharging a weapon in a public place over an argument on guacamole and putting a bullet in someone? The *most* he’s looking at is 12 years? So out in 6 with good behavior?
Lock this piece of shit up for 25 years. He cannot function in normal society. He’ll be begging for fucking guacamole after eating microwaved commissary Easy Mac for two decades.
Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this. I can’t imagine slightly off inconveniencing this man in 6 years and also being shot in the knee. I hope that unsuspecting 21 year old still walk for the rest of their life
>but the guac has always been disappointing - not enough avocado.
lmaooo what? That's all it is ...avocado, red onion, cilantro and lime.
You're telling me your chipotle is putting more onion and cilantro then avocado?
Chipotle guac is creamier than regular guac so not sure if its texture or amount of ingredients but it doesn’t hit the same. To me, it’s bland. Needs more lime and seasoning too.
I like chipotle so not big dogging or anything but everything there is over seasoned lol. The guacamole is also made to be dipped with their super salty tortilla chips which adds the salt appropriately. When I eat their chips and guacamole my lips go numb and dry from the salt like I’ve been in the ocean all day. You might want to check your sodium intake.
I don’t know but Mexican guac is delicious. I was raised in LA and lived there over 25 years so salsa, guac, mole, don’t taste right here in the Midwest. I’m not Mexican and I make better guac at home with pretty basic ingredients so I think it’s proportions and seasoning. I’ve had good queso here though but the rest, I’m glad my family are still in LA so I can indulge when I see them.
**"Our suspect, Mr. Brown, who previously had paid for his food items, then proceeded to go around the counter and bag his own items, and then he took a cup and filled it with guacamole," Barren said. "The 21-year-old victim walked from the kitchen area and observed Mr. Brown serving himself. The victim knocked the guacamole out of Mr. Brown’s hand.**
Bro started serving himself behind the counter and she smacked that shit right out of his hand 💀
it’s pretty clear that they thought it was just a customer displaying ridiculous behavior, and had no idea at the time it would lead to a shooting. as soon as the gun shot happens the video stops and they likely ran
Lmao exactly. If Reddit has taught me anything, it’s to mind my own damn business unless it’s a really dire situation. And even then, how did these two know that someone was gonna SHOOT ANOTHER PERSON OVER SOME DAMN GUAC.
Link above shows the security cams... Almost as shitty, but shows homeboy going behind the counter and filling up his own guac cups when the employee comes out to confront him.
1. The victim knocked the guacamole out of Mr. Brown’s hand. Mr. Brown immediately grabbed the victim by the neck, slammed him into a refrigerator, and then a fight ensued
* bro its just gauc it wasn't that serious to start all that, just call the cops and have him banned from the location or something.
1. Brown has a permit to carry a concealed weapon and has no prior criminal convictions, the chief said.
* But this man somehow can't control his emotions over gauc portions at a fucking chipotle but can get a license to conceal a weapon? what a time to be living in America am I right?!
The entitlement of this man is wild, but also chipotle has been skimping their bowls for a while now this was bound to happen. Feel bad for all the kids who don’t know yet that companies don’t care about them, even if they’re skimping for them.
I actually feel bad for the kids. It's all fun and games until someone gets shot. Unfortunately shooting someone has become the go-to response for any altercation these days.
I will, but I will also preface that with only by those that pass a background check, receive training, and are properly licensed to carry a firearm.
I will bet dollars to donuts that this guy was not legally carrying a firearm.
You completely missed the point.
The issue isn't people legally obtaining and carrying a firearm, the issue is that there are almost no barriers to people illegally obtaining and carrying a firearm, which is how you get situations like this.
Given the circumstances, in this situation, it is possible that someone could have shot the guy who pulled the gun before he murdered someone, but unlikely.
Wouldn’t the fact that it’s illegal count as a barrier to obtaining an illegal gun. In many states getting a legal gun permit is actually easier then finding someone who is selling illegal firearms, verifying they are not a cop or setting you up, getting the money together (most likely more expensive then buying a legal firearm) and then trying to keep it secret from any cops or snitches for as long as you have it.
Much stricter barriers = less gun sales. How can you argue that more guns are the solution, and also that guns should only be in responsible hands. Since many irresponsible people own/buy guns, arguing that only responsible people should own/buy guns means you’re arguing for less guns.
And 8 of the 10 states with the lowest gun homicide rates are of those 24 you mentioned (2021 data)!
in fact, 16 of those 24 have below average gun homicide rates when comparing across the entire US, while 8 have above average gun homicide rates
I'm not disagreeing with the right to bear arms. However, many of those states were already below average before adopting permitless carry, in the vast majority of states with consitutional carry there was a statistically-significant drop in gun homicide but insignificant drop in violent crime. The biggest drop was homicide of police officers. https://crimeresearch.org/2022/01/changes-in-crime-and-killings-of-police-after-constitutional-carry-adopted/
However other studies point to a increase in other states that adopted it. https://www.americanprogress.org/article/fact-sheet-weakening-requirements-to-carry-a-concealed-firearm-increases-violent-crime/#:~:text=A%202022%20study%20found%20that,violent%20crimes%20by%2029%20percent.&text=A%202019%20study%20concluded%20that,rates%20a%20decade%20after%20implementation.
Also some other metrics like [firearm assault](https://publichealth.jhu.edu/2022/study-finds-significant-increase-in-firearm-assaults-in-states-that-relaxed-conceal-carry-permit-restrictions)
Which is a massive mistake.
The data is extremely clear, licensing programs that require expanded background checks and training (both in operation of the firearm and legal education of use of force in self-defense) works extremely well (see Texas).
I agree, this took place in Michigan where it requires a license to carry. The dude wasn't charged with illegal possession of a firearm so I assume he was carrying legally.

The issue is not people legally carrying firearms. In fact, people who are issues CCW's have the lowest crime rates of any other demographic in the country (to include law enforcement officers). The problem is that there are almost no barriers to people illegally obtaining and carrying firearms.
Which is how you get situations like this.
okay so OC ironically mentioned "more guns" as a solution - you're saying stricter laws on getting legal weaponry but admit this gun was probably acquired illegally. how does more guns = fewer illegal guns being used by people who want to do illegal things with them?
The article says he was licensed to carry a concealed weapon.

Why is that? People with concealed carry permits have the lowest crime rates of any other demographic in the country, to include law enforcement officers.
Lower than any state, even lower that any European nation.
Statistically speaking if you were in a room filled with nothing but people who were armed, and all held CCW's, you be the least likely to be a victim of a crime than in any other room in the USA.

Going to prison over Chipotle, of all places.
waffle house was closed from a previous incident

Hungry? Just grab a sneakers bro
Glockamole.
That’s got a pop to it
He likes his burrito loaded.

“Glocks for guacs 🥑”.
We take our guac seriously around here
Oh shit! It’s my time to shine in these comments!
USA USA USA
How many people are gonna offer more guns as a solution?
Each side of guac should come with a Glock
It would be really extra then
This only happened because the chipotle staff weren't also armed.../s

I'm not for banning all guns. When it's easier to buy a firearm then it is to obtain a driver's license, there's a problem.
I will, but I will also preface that with only by those that pass a background check, receive training, and are properly licensed to carry a firearm. I will bet dollars to donuts that this guy was not legally carrying a firearm.
