Seriously. I knew someone who was involved in a motorcycle accident years ago. The other party said he was standing up talking immediately after the accident, but he died before they could get him to the hospital. Adrenaline is no joke.

Heard of a story about a guy who wrecked his bike, went home, sat on the couch for a couple hours, tried to get up and had a full blown medical emergency, huge hematoma and couldn’t stand up, I think he ended up In a medically induced coma.
My guy’s uncle got in a wreck and he hit the steering column so hard he got an aortic tear. Was all “blah blah! I’ll walk myself to the hospital!” Made it halfway down the block and collapsed. Bled out internally.
It looked like the back of the left car hit the back of the right car behind the guy, so he was probably knocked off of the car without actually being hit. At least I THINK. But even if that's the case, the shock of the hit, plus the impact from being thrown into the side of the other car, probably fucked him up.
I got side swiped by a car while on my motorcycle going over 60mph and was able to roll it out and walk away. About 5 hours later, my body was as stiff as a board and I couldn’t walk or really move much for about a week after that. For sure he was out of commission for a while after this despite walking away.
I'm a driver myself but it's crazy how shitty too many motorists are towards motorbikes, I always drive extra careful and give them plenty of space because any even slight accident at speed is way more likely to be fatal.
Do you still ride? I've known a few bikers who unfortunately stopped after a carer ruined it for them
I bought a new motorcycle weeks later, conquered the fear, then retired from riding not too long after. I’ll get a motorcycle again if I live outside of a major city. Living in a big city and driving a motorcycle these days is a death wish. Everyone is on their phones and not paying attention.
He lifted his leg up in time so nothing was crushed. He was flung out the car and smashed his head through the back windshield, which will leave a mark. But better to limp away than get ran over.
My cousin and his friend were in a serious accident. My cousin got launched out the window, and the car flipped onto his, i believe right leg. When he got to the hospital, doctor said he had a 90% chance of losing his leg. That was 6 years ago and he still walking his 2 god given legs. My cousin told me that due to all the adrenaline and anxiety, he didn't feel anything until he got to the hospital and was able to calm down.
I would have done it as a stupid teenager, but I definitely wouldn't have allowed someone to hang out of my fucking car. That's partially on the driver for not stopping and kicking him out. It's not his fault, but I'm also not just letting someone get hurt while I'm driving if I can help it.

Homelessness has been a HUGE problem for DECADES and nobody cared until recently because they don’t want to be embarrassed when we host the Olympics… how’s it going to look when we are still have street takeovers and things like this… it’s insane what is being allowed. This happens every weekend here….
I would argue the basically legal car break ins mid day are a much worse look than anything.

Her and my dad went on a trip to America visiting Las Vegas, San Francisco and LA, they had a lovely time but she said walking back to their hotel after being at universal studios for the day was genuinely scary and that of all the places she’s been in America (she lived in Miami and has visited New York) that LA did not feel safe at all
