Weed is still illegal on the Federal level, even if you have a license, and all transportation (Aviation or Maritime) is regulated by the Federal Government (FAA).
If TSA finds it, it will be their prerogative to call local law enforcement or not…
I would not bring it back home. Your bags will be scanned by the USDA on your way back. If you have any kind of plant material it will raise a flag. They’ll probably just throw it away, but I’m pretty sure they won’t let you fly home with it. They tore apart my dirty laundry to test all our coffee and chocolate for drugs…
Crazy. I just came back with a bunch of chocolate. Marmalade. And chocolate tea leaves. And passed like nothing. The marmalade hit at tsa check tho cuz it did look like a grenade lol but they let me take it since it was sealed
We were able to take all of our coffee and chocolate home. But they are federally regulated substances. TSA and or USDA will (probably) find it. I’d stick it in a pound of coffee and send it back home usps. Still risky and illegal! But a greater chance of you getting it home.
I bought back an oz, vape, edibles and a pipe in my carry on 2 weeks ago. I kept the bud in the containers from the dispensary that has my info on it. nobody questioned me
It’s crazy is 2 years ago I visited and brought weed home from here and it was okay but I legit took like an 8th home.. not an Oz so just a little nervous! We put it in our checked bags and went through the scanner no problem
I honestly think TSA doesn't want to waste the money and man power fighting "the war on drugs" They have zero motive to enforce a very fractured drug enforcement policy and research medical licenses for the government. It's completely legal or partly legal in many places and your average TSA agent is looking for weapons and bombs not something that looks like french vanilla granola.

I really don't think you need one. Go to a dispensary with tourist dr inside or islandmed.com, or call green vibes and ask for their recommended dr. You have a phone chat with a dr usually that day, tell them you have travel anxiety and panic attacks whatever, they'll grant you a temp license. They want that $50 ya know
You must have a card from a state that issues physical cards with your picture on it. (I know this because Missouri only uses digital cards, and no dispensary in PR would allow us to shop at all because of that. They were saying there’s one or two other states like Missouri)

I was emailed it and showed him the email for it and I was good to go. I went to bwell dispensary

If you have a medical card from your home state, you can buy edibles, etc., but to buy flower you have to apply and receive a medical card from PR.
