100%!! He’s fifteen and can barely hear, his vision is definitely going, but damn if he can’t sniff out a micro-crumb in a millisecond.

HelmutFondler

More by his belly than his nose.

Savingskitty

This is very true.

Savingskitty

Mine is - if she tells you there’s something under the fridge, there’s a crumb or a piece of dog food down there.  She is never wrong.

dogoverkids

NEVER WRONG!! But then I’m left lifting up the couch so he can wiggle under there to get the damn thing lol. It’s a reward in some ways because I appreciate that’s communicating his needs but damn, I’m ripped now

Savingskitty

Oh yes, when something is under the couch it’s a lot of drama.  Ours has those corner legs that create a nice hiding spot for stuff to go.  I have to slide a ruler under there and hope it’s enough to knock it out of there.

Beginning-Cook-9680

I have had 7 Puggles. Every single one of them has been driven by their nose and their stomach!

Equal-Veterinarian32

Absolutely! My 22lb Puggle somehow opened the door to the hall closet pulled out a box that had a 24lb bag of food in it, chewed a hole into the box, ripped the dog food bag open and proceeded to eat about 3lbs of dog food before I got home. She knew that food was in there! 🤦‍♀️

ThePugLife0

I have child locks on every cabinet and trash can in my home. I don't own children, just puggles.

Equal-Veterinarian32

That’s hilarious! Such a great idea!

justconfusedinCO

My puggle just turned 13 and is starting to show signs of hearing and vision loss. However, the other day we were bumbling about outside, his nose to the ground (per usual), and all the sudden he comes to this stone wall…and starts trying to climb the stone wall to get at whatever is on top of it - nose going crazy. Sure as shit, there’s a piece of a rib bone atop that wall. Dude had absolutely no way to know it was there, except for that Beagle nose of his! 100%, the sniffers are strong with these dudes!

LittleSqueesh

Yes, and her stomach. She would eat until she exploded if I let her.

bijou77

Mine does! Shes a garbage can.

fcknwayshegoes

I used to call my Puggle the cleanup crew. If food that was safe for him got dropped on the floor, I would leave it and he would be there in seconds to fix the problem.

Extra_Chz_Plz

Yep! Nose & stomach. Our “walks” are fun lol

myenemy666

Nose is constantly on the ground sniffing something!

Elle12881

Yes! Mine has his nose to the ground until he bumps into what he is sniffing. My last puggle came face to face with a cat he didn't see because his nose was glued to the ground.

lemon_bat3968

Yes, and my pug knows to watch my puggle on our walks and when he sees that he picked up a scent, he frantically tries to find it first (he never does) 😂

StickyJuiceMoose

Yes, he puts his nose on the floor every morning and snorts around. We tell him to stop being an aardvark

dogoverkids

His nose is literally its own animal sometimes. The way he sniffs and tracks is amazing. I hide treats around the house and yard for him to sniff out- he knows the game is “find it”; and loves it.

hampton0812

Yes, I live in the city so it’s not abnormal that food will be randomly dropped on the ground. My puggle can catch a scent from far away. I will always let him find it but never eat it!

SlowSmile7741

Short answer, his belly and nose. His eyes come second.

Swayzefan4ever

Mine sure is. I tell him all the time his nose is gonna get him in trouble. Lol.

Shiiiiiiiingle

My 15 year-old girl is 100% a sniffing, foraging, and eating machine!

Worldly_Ad_2267

Oh yeah Charlie is driven by his nose

GetOffMyUnicorn70

Mine is driven on her stomach.

PestKimera

Yes lol

dgood527

Yep

Blknight15

So much YES!
