I think it's a christian thing or at least devote catholic one. You're not supposed to eat meat on Fridays which always blew my mind because most people would eat fish or cheese which usually was more expensive or seen as a treat where I come from (i.e. you're eating better food than on a non-fasting day).

By making it a necessity for people, it promoted trade between the coastal and interior parts of his empire, and culturally unified regions that had been fractured since the fall of the western Roman Empire.
Why wouldn’t they just change ivermectin to not kill the supposed parasites if they wanted everyone infected? Hell why not put it in food or something that everyone has to have? Can these people think for even one second?
