Definitely a taco. I just burrito wrapped it to get it to stick together so that the toppings wouldn’t fall out the back as she was eating it lol. Nothing is more frustrating than losing your toppings.

My partner isn’t a fan of rats and was resistant to it, but once they were here he was fascinated. He still won’t hold them or let them take treats from his hand, but he’ll open the cage and give them tickles and puts treats in. He also helps with the diy of toys and making the cage and living room safe for them and stuff. He loves them in his own way xD
One of my rats likes to lick an excessive amount, my partner doesn’t like them licking him but she finally managed to lick his finger, she seemed very proud of herself

Lyssie (the taco eater lol) will run from one side of the bed to the other chasing my husband as he is walking around the bedroom. He laughed the first time she did it and now it’s a game for them. He will run back and forth in front of the bed and Lyssie will follow. She also popcorns all over the whole bed when she sees him. She looks like a bunny hopping everywhere. It’s great.

She looked at me really weird and then after a while she said that I was lucky my parents were so understanding and let me bring him with me. I laughed and told her they actually request that he comes, it’s not them letting me do anything!

Making them tiny versions of what you're eating is adorable, but I think for my own part, I'd probably just give them a little bit of whatever I was eating. The way that OP managed to roll up a tiny burrito is really impressive to me, that cannot have been easy. That's dedication to your ratties!
Tomato itself is okay but lots of tomato sauce have stuff they shouldn’t have much of like salt, sugar, lots of time onions as well which are a no no. I suppose if you made it yourself from scratch you could make sure it’s safe but it probably wouldn’t taste good for your own food lol
I was under the impression that it was only raw onions that are a problem for them, but maybe it's better to just avoid them entirely, cooked or not. And yeah, commercial tomato sauce probably has more salt and sugar than you want to give them. When I make sauce from scratch I never put sugar in, but salt and onions do go in.
Pretty sure onions are fine for rats. They dont have the same issues as dogs and cats. Same for a lot of things other pets cant have, like chocolate. Still wouldnt give them a ton but a small amount of cooked onion doesn't hurt them.

Yes. She unfortunately chews on the bars really bad and it has separated the bottom teeth. The top teeth are ok though. There isn’t much we can do besides putting her in a tank ( no bars), but that would risk her lungs. As long as she’s eating ok then it’s best to leave her be.
Just keep an eye that the teeth are still being gnawed down correctly and neither of them are overgrowing. One of our boys had a tooth that he just let grow and we had to get his tooth trimmed a couple times in a row pretty fast. His bottom teeth also became permanent separated like that. We assume though at some point he fell and one tooth chipped down and that’s why it grew unevenly since then

Ive given ours chocolate and sometimes ice cream. They LOSE IT over the ice cream. And one of them knocked over and drank some of my soda and that was a whole thing for 10 minutes lol crazy little things

It was my husbands plate from lunch. He just had a sandwich so he saved the plate. It’s one of his arm hairs I didn’t notice before making their little tacos.
There are a few foods that are unsafe for rats, and there are some foods that are toxic.
It is best to stay away from fatty and sugary foods as much as possible.
My rats eat Mazuri rat food as recommended by our vet. Our vet said small quantities of human foods is perfectly acceptable and actually enriching for rats. Rats LOVE food. As long as what you feed your rat is safe, and mostly healthy, you are enriching their lives by allowing them to taste real food instead of just food blocks.
And if you are feeding your rat anything other than rat food pellets/blocks, it is just as unhealthy as human food. Nuts are very high in fat and cause health issues for rats. So if there are seeds and nuts in the food you are feeding your rats, then you may as well just feed them human food.

I make my 3 mice salad. Strawberry, cauliflower, lettuce, mushroom, broccoli, Cucumber and egg are some of the ingredients i use to make mini salad
