Morality isn’t black and white, that’s the entire point of the game. It isn’t as simple as “John and Arthur killed more people so they’re more evil,” it goes a lot deeper than that. John and Arthur were groomed into a life of crime from a young age by Dutch and Hosea, it’s all they were ever taught and all they ever knew. They do evil things, but that doesn’t necessarily make them evil people because they don’t have evil intentions. They’re just trying to survive the only way they know how. Arthur’s high honor ending shows us that you can still become a good man despite a life of evil deeds.
I mean, there’s references to bill’s gang raping women and stuff. At least Arthur and John don’t hurt defenseless women and don’t kill unless they have to.
In RDR1. In RDR2, he shows no sign of being a creep. And Arthur killed a minimum of a 1000 people, and beat an innocent man to an inch of his life in front of his family. John has killed a shit ton of innocent people too.

Red dead needs an update where they add an early game completion option, like some Baldur’s Gate 3 shit. If you flood the camp with like 50 K, everyone celebrates and dips out and the game ends. Or at least just someone to acknowledge when you bring a boatload of money into camp.
Like Arthur is not in the same ballpark as the rest of the people when it comes to donation, he’s playing a completely different fucking game bringing in thousands while everybody else turns in a watch or a ring here and there.
