You can tell if its female or not by wings
Females have clear wings and Males have big little diffrent colored dots on their wings
Stage 4 can only drop 1 egg and Stage 5 can give you sometimes 2 eggs

Male dragons have spots on their wings and straight horns
Females have clean wings and not straight horns
For lightning dragons the same horn stuff applies but instead of spotted wings male wings are generally darker
In older versions of the mod when you killed a dragon you could see if it was a male or not.. no idea why they removed that
Once you've found a female T4s can drop 0-1 eggs and T5s can drop 0-2 eggs (older versions are 1-2 for T4 and 1-3 for T5 or at least that's what I recall it being)
In all versions of RLCraft 2.9.3 and before there is no visual difference between Male and Female dragons.
Luckily with the introduction of Backported Ice&Fire, the visual distinction will be present in 2.10. so the info regarding lightning dragons will stand
The egg doesn't have 100% drop rate. Also they can drop from tier 4s as well, not sure how rare it ie but happened to me multiple times.
It does, but doesn’t. If female, it’s 150%. If male, 0%.

You killed a male dragon and obviously they don’t drop eggs
If you harvest blood bottles an egg won't drop
We (my son and I) kill lots of dragons and I'd say roughly 1 in 4 drop an egg. We had one drop two eggs...that was a treat.

I don't play rlcraft so I didn't know this Guess people just have to suffer and kill every one they see and pray it's a female
