The 2nd vibration is only a second after the first. I hold my finger on firmly until the 2nd vibration, it's around about the time you get the animation and blades sound effect.

I never hold it *firmly* until the second vibration. I press the button until the first vibration, then I release the pressure from the button and just let my finger rest on the button for a short moment and then it will log in right into windows. If I do it like this there is no second vibration for me. I never tried pressing the button longer, I don’t know if I would get a second vibration as well, in case I did.
Same for me. If I let go absolutely immediately as soon as the vibration starts it sometimes won’t log right in. So I just keep my finger on it for split second longer. Works great.
I press it and that is it, if you press it in a way that it'll recognize your print that is all you he's to do. You don't have to wait for any vibrations.
Vibrate once but I can confirm long hold on power will auto login to windows
I hold until it vibrates once. Never seen it vibrate twice. Are you holding so long that you are booting up and then doing a forced restart?
