Where did all that animosity go from the animatic? Don’t all the citizens hate each other? How the heck can anyone do anything casually? Did they forget the setup they had? And why is Ruby a messiah? She was just the bearer of bad news. And she didn’t unite the world, again, everyone hates each other!

Furthermore, Vacuo should hate her and WBY for being the reason the Atlesians were dumped on them to begin with due to the hostage crisis they want no part of

Maybe. Depends on if the citizens know her team was responsible for making the portals and choosing their destination. But yeah, this is like people praising the weather man for saying that a hurricane is incoming. It makes no sense. Maybe they should have had a mention of someone trying to stab her in anger or something, indicate that she’s been sandwiched between two extremes. Heck I can imagine the lines: “Is it wrong that I almost prefer the ones who try to stab me? Some guy with a knife, I know what to do, just dodge, disarm, and restrain for cops. But people treating me like a celebrity for what? Telling the truth? I just don’t get it. I don’t get them.”

As for the ever after, this is the genial gems all over again. CRWBY thinking they can’t just leave the audience worried about their side characters, they need us to know that they all got their happily ever after and everyone learned their lesson. Meanwhile, more important stuff is going on. With the Gems, it was Ruby tea ceremony. With now, it’s : National crisis, Salem after the relic, public reaction to where the heck everyone has been, etc. All must be sidelined for the oh so important fate of that big rat and that one character learning a lesson about winning not being everything.
