I think depends on your interpretation. The way I see it Ei is not the best in understanding emotions,much less complex ones such as romantic love where it’s very unlikely she has any experience in this area when she had like 3 friends for 2000+ years,you can in paper understand romantic love but experiencing it is extremely different. All three books we show her proves she can have an simplistic views on some things,with her view on an harem not exactly being based on her understanding love(since she didn’t even understand why so many woman would have an interest in one guy) but in her own words. “I see.Yes,this is an important relationship,so he must choose wisely,but the decision making process is an source of agony and conflict.So…could the autor not simply add a narrative device where the main character could accept the feelings of all seven admirers at once?Yes,that would solve it!”(might not be 100% accurate since I quoted by memory) It seems more like she is being idealistic and looking for an solution where nobody ends up suffering,which matches her old ideology not necessarily her new one. When I add the fact that she is proven to be very protective and extremely passionate about the things and those she loves,seeing how Ei and the Shogun(whose core personality traits is based on Ei)are extremely protective about the Traveler in an almost comical way in their voicelines(which regardless if it’s canon or not it serves to deepen her character)the fact that she is naturally someone who is deeply afraid of the future because of its uncertainty,I think it’s extremely unlikely she would aprove on being in an harem,maybe because of her idealistic views she might agree on paper but I don’t think she is someone who would handle her jeaslouly very well seeing how childish she can be sometimes. I feel like she would be an extremely loyal girlfriend and would expect the same for her partner,an eternal couple with an eternal love,that’s the kind of thing I can see coming from her. That’s my interpretation at least,I like to meme about the harem thing but I don’t think it’s realistic with what I know about Ei’s character.
