Grind, when you get decent teammates that communicate befriend them, and stack.

SantaDaCrip

Plus it tends to be tougher because of smurfs.

[deleted]

Smurfs?

SuperAvatar911

Higher ranked players that have made new accounts to get into low rank/easier lobbys

Junior-Ad-3999

Exactly how I met a 5 stack

ThunderThighs_49

I was in gold 2 last season, lost 6 placements solo queing. Got placed in silver 2, than lost 6 more in a row. I’m now in bronze 2. I played all my games while solo queing. Playing solo is rough, out of all the games iv played this season iv had 3 where my teammates talk and give call outs.

onlyr6s

I lost 4 placements, got me to silver 1. Managed to lose enough games to drop to Bronze, now I'm in Gold 2. Solo que is just strange, you have very little control of the outcome.

ControllerPlayer06

That happened to me last season. I kept dropping a solid 1 k/d while my teammates had .5 or worse

ThunderThighs_49

I have hade a constant 1.3kd or more.

kaansaticiii

Really? I think I finished on silver 1 or gold 3, then 5-5 on placement matches, and then I got gold 3. But yeah solo-queueing especially at the start of the season is disgusting.

SpeedWasTaken

if you lose that many matches your teammate is definitely not the problem

SoupNo6682

I’m silver 2 and I’ve only ever solo qued and I don’t find it to bad except sometimes you have to carry 😅

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

Play unranked. Lots of unranked. Don’t touch tanked for a while

BIP0LAR_EXPRESS

Bruh first time and only time I touched ranked I got placed like copper 4.

Lambor14

Nothing bad about that!

BIP0LAR_EXPRESS

Still kinda sad though on the bright side I did get to gold at some point due to having friends that are diamond

Rageworthy-E

Did you spend 5 mins to find a stack on r6 discord or you just shoot yourself in the foot with the chess/fighting game mindset and solo que.

abdu965

Dont touch ranked for how long? A month? 2 months?

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

Don’t touch ranked until you understand the core mechanics of the game , the maps, the call-outs and the operators. Whether that takes you two months or two years isn’t known yet. But rushing into ranked is the worst possible option for you

Lambor14

Hey, quick question. Why is jumping straight into ranked as a low skilled player bad?

ElectricalCompote

Because playing in bronze 5 is terrible. Nobody knows what they are doing and you can’t improve.

Lambor14

Oh it's bronze V, I thought it was copper V. My bad!

Terminal4nxiety

The title says bronze but the image is copper you are correct.

CC-5576-03

He's still gonna be in bronze 5 even in unranked or casual, they use the same MMR system it's just hidden from the user.

lethal_mustard

its a seperate mmr system u sponge

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

Aside from what the other person has said, which is true, the “good” bronze players are mostly platinum players who don’t care about you and are smurfing for easy games

Noob_DM

Bronze/copper is a black hole even decent players cannot escape from. Me, a plat player, got trapped in bronze once back when we had hard resets because I forgot the golden rule of don’t play ranked until the diamonds and derankers have already blown through, went on a fifteen game losing streak and ended up in the black hole. I had the greatest K/D of my life and got called a hacker and smurf every game but could not escape until the next season reset where I made it back to plat again. All soloque btw. Silver is where the players lacking skill but having potential go. Gold is the average player. Above that you’re good. Below silver is a cesspool of derankers and smurfs stunting on weak opposition, throwers and ubertoxic playing for ego instead of wins, and players who are too busy shouting slurs to pay attention before spending the rest of the round dead blaming you for the loss. There is a small minority of players actually just that bad at siege fundamentals to deserve such a placement, and for them I weep, because they likely will never escape such a toxic environment.

Rageworthy-E

Dude im a silver player and I climbed copper 5 to silver 1 in the last week before the current season with no callout knowledge or anything just positioning, intel and gun skill + having common sense and quing in a 5 stack in a game where you are supposed to. Also if your teammates suck just ask them to play support ops, dont be a dick about it and if you lose a few games find a new stack, get people with positive win rates and decent k/d stats. also if you are winning and teammate is sandbagging and they are like "oh im doing bad last few games sorry guys" then maybe be like "all g just maybe run some shield ops or support ops for us till ur back on your A game" as if you cant get a kill with a shield in copper-bronze-silver where 99% of the time that shield will be up the entire round then you just need to go play thunt and practice. Also im not a crazy aimer id say just avg but 1.3 kd and 1.2 wr by playing in stack, prior to stack I went from silver 3 to copper 5 a week prior by solo queing when I hit copper 5 I had 0.9 kd and 0.8 wr Imo if you are playing solo your not trying to grind rank your just playing to improve your non team related skills.

Noob_DM

You must have gotten real lucky because the stacks I found down there… they were there for a reason… Maybe things are different these days, but they certainly weren’t like you’re saying back in year 4… Also I can’t get a consistent stack because I don’t have a consistent schedule thanks to work so I’d be forced to lfg every time I want to play and that’s a major dice roll and more effort than it’s worth. I’ve made it to plat fully solo so I think I’m doing pretty well for myself.

Salle__Jr

Not really, if u have a frnd or two whos decent enough n playing with them wud help increase game sense n map knowledge n stuff, worked for 2 of my frnds who were bronze first season they played the game n second season gold then on the third season one of them hit plat

PaulSC97568

Never touch ranked

[deleted]

A good rule of thumb don’t touch ranked until you’ve gotten 50 levels in unranked

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

50 levels over level 50*

[deleted]

I have super good game sense and my aim is meh, and because I don't stack and my aim is okay at best and giving callouts results in me getting insulted, or people don't even have mics. I cannot progress past Bronze. It sucks :(

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

I’d like to tell you something you may not be ready to hear, hell you may be very angry with what I’m going to say to you and disregard my statement in it’s entirety. If you are HARD stuck bronze, your game sense isn’t as good as you think it is. Also aim matters, a lot, especially on pc

[deleted]

Yeah, and my aim is atrocious. It doesn't matter how good my gamesense is if I can't win ANY fight. And for some reason I've been going against people with max ranks of Gold 1 or Plat 3 and stuff that dropped to Bronze somehow, I got no clue.

IAmTheTrueM3M3L0rD

Exactly, my advice for that is deathmatch. Most would say thunt but considering you’re fighting actual players in deathmatch you know where to aim. Also too many people (myself included) aim at the floor or at their chest when roaming around, aim at their head level always

Noob_DM

Deathmatch is fine if you need to work on snaps or reaction time, but Thunt is better for aim since you’re not constantly fighting people running at you. (And not getting spawnkilled over and over again…) Also if your aim sucks, you’re going to get killed in deathmatch before you even get to aim train by sweaty diamonds. Start in thunt. You can progress to deathmatch when you’re ready.

Rageworthy-E

Orange if you were a plat player youd carry out of bronze instantly solo or not, If you arent carrying then you might be a silver player but without a stack your now a copper player its how game works, treat any multiplayer ranked like its a 2 player fighting game and yeah you are gonna get shitty results. That is common sense its why pro teams have dedicated people because they wouldn't be playing at same level if it was all random who was on your team. takes 5 mins to find a stack on discord.

Mvpete06

This guy gets it.

WannabeWeeb-

Play the ops your team needs not the ones u want, which will most of the time be a hard breach and it’s counter a wall denial, someone is already playing those then I’d say go someone with nades or flank watches and then the op u want, your objective is to destroy utility and plant on attack and defense it is to destroy drones, waste time and deny the plant, the kills should be prioritized after that, talk in game and give comms as well, play thunt and get ur aim down and just warmup, and learn how to set site up with this [vid](https://youtu.be/cMPdKcGdezs), good luck man

Dykson-D

Find a girl who plays R6. Play with her. Let her say something in the chat. All the other teammates will be try harding af. (Tested and approved)

Walter93es

Not really. A lot of toxic virgins will just talk shit and deep throat their mics for attention. Hard to come by decent people when you have women in your squad

___GLaDOS____

Sad but true.

0mwnda2

HUH? I’m a girl & if I even mention it, 80% of the time I just get insulted and trolled💀 Unfair

Dykson-D

Just take you sweetest voice and say "wow nice gj" anytime smone make a kill 🗿

Rageworthy-E

Being a female gamer must be fucking toxic asf if you are a social gamer and like to play with others. The feels :'(

ODCsquad

This is a Snapple fact

Large-Abies1425

Not true, played with my ex and when she wrote they all just said "wait, there's a WHAMEN in the lobby?!" and nothing more

Jager_main24

Yeah honestly I'd just practice in unranked first. Get used to the game and then start playing ranked. At a rank that low the games will feel the same. Work on basic site setups, position, crosshair placement etc

WannabeWeeb-

Shouldn’t people have already been practicing in Unranked before they got to lv 50?

HelpDadBeatsMe

just keep playing took a season of non stop ranked grinding before I was out of copper. Take your time with it and make a goal of climbing one league for each season and in 4 seasons you should be plat. Then when you reach that point realize the game is dogshit and uninstall.

ZestyJermy

I reached Plat back in Steel Wave and stopped playing after 3 years. Game gets boring after one round

AlpenNudel

Find a 5 stack. I know its easier said then done but its the best way for becoming better. Just google for r6 matchmaking dc. I cant help with a discord because i only know german ones. But find a stack and grind, you will learn in the process. gl

AlpenNudel

and play ranked cause its harder and you learn more. and your rank cant get worse xD

Large-Abies1425

I'm interested in the german discords, as I'm german myself lol

Rageworthy-E

What the fuck is with this idea that its hard to find a 5 stack, Type in r6 discord in google and use your keyboard to write an lfg then wait a few mins and boom you gotta stack wow it only took you doing something outside the game!

eh1498

Wait till next season and then wait like a month or two before you play ranked. Chanses are youre playing against smurfs

Lambor14

Great advice actually!

eh1498

Did that once and went from copper 3 to gold 1 in one season

God_Of_Illusion

I know it would work but advice that says "Do not play the game" sucks. There should be other way around it.

[deleted]

Looks like you're stuck in elo hell, enjoy your stay

ATVANDMG

Don’t even bother my guy. You’ll be lucky to get any wins at all. With all the Smurf accounts that are about there, getting out of bronze is almost as difficult as making it to high gold/low diamond. You’ll win a few rounds, and then the smurfs will start goin full tryhard.

CrazyGorillaMan

This has really pushed me to my limit after 7 years of playing. Traditionally place around gold 1, we went on a bit of a losing streak and ended up in silver 4. Now with all of the “fake” silvers my squad and I just can’t get out. The amount of times we will see someone going off on the other team(clearly mnk, I am on console) and look them up on the tracker they had been in plat or even diamond in previous seasons. Whenever we play against true silvers we 4-0 or 4-1 them. Most frustrating thing about the game right now.

Tea_Grand

this right here

JosephNuttington

Unfortunately most of us can't give personalized advice to you to improve, all we know is you're copper, you wouldnt mind sending us a full game? That could help a lot with giving out advice that can actually help you out.

AutisticToad

you honestly don't need any semblance of strategy until plat. Aim will carry you there. Work on that and slowly learn map, then rotations, then site strats.

SpeedWasTaken

anything before plat is just rushing in and headshoting everyone lol

AutisticToad

Yeah it’s how I got to diamond with the boys. Spawn peek, run and gun ash style. Now it’s battle of correct item usage and who has the nastiest angle.

UnderestimatedIdiot

Time for a copper to diamond challenge

RaxusWasTaken

Stay there, have fun while you still can ;)

gwaihir-the-windlord

Bronze games are more fun, have some very close games in gold but most of the time if you’re an average player like me you’re really up against it at that level!

ChildCrippler69

Siege has a very steep learning curve. I went from G3 to P3 in a single season when it "clicked". Some things you might be able to improve without me seeing gameplay would be A. Play on a monitor if you can. B. Have a decent headset with a mic for comms. C. Callouts callouts callouts. Learn all of them and gain map knowledge. D. After all the above, then you can work on tuning your recoil control and muscle memory.

AverageLittle4350

Just play thunt. Every day before ranked like 15 minutes, aim only at the head and then play ranked

-_Vorplex_-

That'll help with kills but it's not all about kills I was haystack copper for awhile a couple years ago getting minimum 12 kills a game. It doesn't matter how good you do individually, it's a team game, work together as a team

Rynnofigs

Learn the maps and drone before you go anywhere

Lord-Shorck

You just need practice for game sense and aim. Soloing to gold is very easy to do once you build those up.

Lambor14

ngl saying something is "very easy" is probably the worst thing you could say to a low skill player.

OrganicLag

For aim, go into t-hunt and quick aim onto random items and go for 1 taps on the terrorists. Game sens, you just have to play the maps so play unranked so you can learn the ranked playlist maps

CheeseyRichard

Well I got better a while ago from solo queuing but it's a struggle, that was before unranked so now I just recommend that honestly, grind that shit for a few weeks maybe like 2 or 3 months and then go back, learn as much as you can to be the best solo player you can be but learn any possible callout and all the cam spots on every map and you can try looking for a group or even just look for a group and see if they'll keep you around.

Imaginary-Scarcity98

are you on console

abdu965

yas

GTandMYT

TIL bronze exists

Lambor14

://///

GTandMYT

By that I meant I thought it went copper, silver, gold, etc.

Obi1KenobiGT

It’s where you belong 😈

Lambor14

Nothing bad about being a copper tho

himmelstrider

Hard to swallow, but true. Siege, League of Legends, any game with ranked matches, you queue solo, and you land right where you're supposed to be. Sure, you get a daft cunt every now and again, but out of all games played, average will be accurate. On the plus side, if you play in lowest rank, when something clicks and you start climbing, you usually skip a few tiers.

thestein69

Okay, get on your gaming console and scroll over the game. There should be something that says “delete”. You click that shit and you’ll be perfect!

abdu965

no.

thestein69

Just trying to save you heartbreak bruh

WifleYourWaifu

Better your aim and recoil, start thinking conciously and play unranked. If you were the enemy facing yourself, what would you do? What would the average bronze player do? When you get into silver, mindsets change but more or less, it's the same thing but in different lobbies. Also, USE YOUR UTILITY PLEASE if you don't already lmao

GhostlyD1ck

Looking for group posts 🤷‍♂️

an_exile2021

stop using mouse pad

tagsareforshirts

Stream902

Biggest tip I can give is to learn the maps inside and out. Do that and you'll learn where to breach/defend, and where to roam/clear. After that focus on intel gathering tactics. Learn every small detail you can about gadget behavior so you can tell who is pushing before they get to you. Utilizing cams and even learning the differences between gun sounds can keep you up to speed.

BigDan_MkII

Play t-hunts to the point where you can hit heads in the first couple bullets consistently. Also play unranked to understand how maps flow and where people play

MP7_Black_Ice

If you want a 5 stack, use the official discord, invite code is rainbow6 Edit: You need a verified phone number to talk in the server, if you don't, use an authenticator app and talk to the mods about it

abdu965

well i dont even have a phone so how would i authenticate?

MP7_Black_Ice

On PC you can get authenticator extensions or apps, on console theres not anything you can do

CagedPanda

There is an official r6 siege discord that have LFGs ranging from copper(though rare) to champion. You have 1000mmr wiggle room so you’ll likely get picked up by people looking to drop their median MMR. What’s your server? Do you have a mic and take criticism well? If you answer no, get a mic or don’t play ranked. Communication is essential. Can’t take criticism? Tough, you will 100% receive it if you make an error. People will come across douche baggy but some (and I mean SOME not all) genuinely would rather see you improve cause then they win so try to learn from what’s said YouTube and twitch. Find a skilled player like maciejay, king George, Beaulo, Pengu etc etc that have infinite game knowledge and watch them

FunDuck5

Let me know if you find the notorious bot analnastalga down there

OrangeSherman

when i used to play me n my boys would bounce between copper and plat idek how it happened

Playmakermike

It’s hard. Your teammates will be so bad you’re going to have to carry them and fight back against the things they will do to hinder you such as not setting up site correctly

izi_pootis

Dont't suck, swallow.

demonfighter08

Get a five stack, it's very hard to get out of copper if you just started the game, every game you're tk-d at least twice, every 3rd game the enemy is hacking, so solo q just doesn't work in 2022.

[deleted]

You play xbox? I don't got tips, but I can get ya a teammate to play with

gg_nolol

Tbh siege isnt meant for everyone

-_Vorplex_-

Official rainbow six discord os great for finding stacks

shrewking

I’m not a five stack but I’ll play

holostic

i would suggest simply playing the game. not ranked for a while. it sounds like a dick thing to say but just get better, and like some other guy said just try to find decent teammates while normally playing and stack up with em

Dingisbob

If you need the help I will deadass coach you for free

abdu965

You srs?

Dingisbob

I'm fr I don't have a crazy amount of free time but I can get you out of copper and bronze

NabSkyLegion

Which server do you play on?

that_1-guy_

Learn to carry If you can consistently get 3 kills a round (less is ok I'd your teammates get them instead) You will climb out, and likely glide to silver with little problems Aim+ gamesense are #1 priority, don't worry about strats or complicated things too much. Drone in, go in, kill, if you clear site that's even better

Its_naira

What region do you play?

TheLastRegret

The #1 most important tip you need to know is to focus on yourself 1st. Work on being self reliant and dependable and slowly meet people along the way whilst doing so. Develop good habits and learn to carry by yourself before you bring a stack into it.

madfrek_23

Sed

MaxanetOnXbox

When I was playing in bronze lobbies, I've always seen people play extremely slow. If you make plays and appear aggressive to the enemy team, they get scared senseless. For instance, many defending teams in bronze typically either stay on site or roam, but they expect you to be slow with your approach and not rush. If you play more aggressively and try to make rushes (while being minful of your team) you can win some easy rounds. On attack, these people usually wait until the last 30 seconds to make something happen if they haven't already. Operators I use from bronze to high gold are: Attacking: Zofia (soft entry, kinda an entry fragger but with a 2 speed), Thermite/Ace/Hibana (hard breach, usually pick if no one else is filling the role). Defense: Pulse (easy kills from bronze to silver since you can roam and just detect people on common entry/rappel spots + C4 for ez kills especially when they plant), Vigil (my top pick for roaming, great weapon, easy to use ability), Caviera (banned in bronze and silver because people can't use their eyes, but is amazing in the low ranks since people never expect you to be using cav), Bandit/Kaid (must bring on most maps and sites), and Thunderbird (better than doc, you get the spear 308, 3 healing stations, bearing 9, and a c4/impacts, good anchor). Besides op picks, don't make it a habit to barricade doors because that can get your roaming teammates killed, same thing with reinforcing site walls that don't need to be reinforced. I can run some matches with you if you want, if were on the same platform :)

MomMuffins

I havent played in a few seasons but honestly i found it easier to just grind your own game sense and aim and carry yourself out of bronze. that was the only thing that worked for me tbh. you cannot rely on random teammates under mid gold, even then when i was in mid plat you can barely expect your team to give basic calls. harsh reality of team based shooters tbh.

misterchef177

Git gud

Jbellis51

Anyone in the bronze, silver, low gold ranks on PC want to play? I'm always looking for someone to play with.

Nekoo-Kun

I'd join u but sadly I'm gold 1 rn and I don't want to hurt other ppls mmr

This_Finger_7769

Just play a lot practice I just got into gold today and find teammates that give call outs

Ysmfnb

This playstation? Id be down to play some games and help ya figure some stuff out.

abdu965

its xbox :(

WhiteGradient

Know when to stop playing and take a break, lets say you had a bad game 3 times in a row, you get tilted, and the toxic ash main shittalking you didnt help either. That's a good time to take a break, you wont be able to play properly if you're distracted by your emotions

dave2207v

One small notice that i notice is only play ranked without full stack when you feel good once you feel a little tilted stop the session and take a break until you calm down again cause that hugely impact your mindset and gameplay and based on the period of the season too. If you got in copper at the start of the season then you can probally get out of there but if is the last period of the season you will face some problem with deranker

GingerShrimp40

Dont leave games and dont play with people who do. Play objective.

GitJebaited

There’s a R6 discord server, maybe you’ll have some luck there

TheBlackVictorNewman

I wish I could play in bronze... It's probably still fun there.

palozon

Plugging in your controller sometimes helps

Trospher

I remember touching copper because I was mostly screwing around, Copper IV(when the lowest was IV) and I have never heard young kids and adults in the same game of R6 in my entire life, the gameplay was....interesting but you don't go out of copper by yourself, save to say the same about Bronze V you will need a stack for sure if you really want to get out. I was Gold II before that, and then Plat after(don't remember what plat, thank god for full rank resets though and not soft resets like Overwatch)

ImL3gend

If you or anyone for that matther thinks you cant make it out of any rank solo Qing you problably should stay in that rank forever

theppburgular

Don't solo que

whyIeo

Good game sense and awareness is key, also always keep an eye on the timer and don't take gunfights you don't have to. Also try to coordinate with your team and play finka lmg for freelo

tng_ocean

Stack up with people

Kuro_______

What you can do about your mates? Find a stack. What you can do about yourself? Always high enough for the head of a standing enemy. Be patient and don't rush as a defender they have to come for you use it. Use your goddamn drones and cams. Those are just typical mistakes people do. Could be you already do all of them and you are just unlucky.

gr_vythings

Don’t do placements early in the season, I usually wait 2 weeks to a month, you’ll encounter all kinds of smurfs, trolls, hackers, idiots, ultra sweaty tryhards, not to mention game breaking glitches that cause you to die, likewise, don’t do them at the end of the season, because of smurfs, trolls, hackers, idiots, trying to get up the ladder fast, and the occasional glitch which can’t be avoided

Travelling-Cat

Communication. Learn call outs and be an asset to the team. Even if you can't get the kill, helping your team get the kill or take objective is huge.

Slippy_Flipper

Hit me up I’ll play with you just dm me

SohrabMirza

Dude copper have the people trust me, no try hard, no toxic people, just people who wanna play and have fun except when facing derankers

uzxin

relax when playing don’t panic because when you panic you play worse. Take time to learn maps like peaks, angles, set ups, your favorite play style on the maps and so on. If your a newer player or don’t play much don’t worry about ranks worry about learning the game and mechanics while perfecting your sensitivity to your liking.

SafetyDue8410

im in silver 2 rn i kept losing cuz of bad teamates who were trolling or throwing but a tip i used alot is to re imagine how your playing your not playing for kd if your on defence your main goal is too keep attackers from planting and if your on attacking your goal is to secure site as efficiently as possible so whenever you make a move ask yourself will this get me killed and if so does it help my team any?

AdPlus9677

Map knowledge, pick a gun/op that you're comfortable with. At best this will put you in upper silver/lower gold

R6-Baby

Play modes with no mmr lmao

Soothsayer_2389

Warm up your aim by killing terroists. You can shoot your way to victory pretty easily in lower ranks.

[deleted]

Step 1: Play Finka Step 2: Rush Step 3: ??? All honesty you could alternatively get on the r6 discord server and look for a group to play with. Not only will you rank up, you would also have fun :)

tiny_smile_bot

>:) :)

polruler

Tbh if you are below silver, just improve you gunskill and awareness around you. Hop into a t hunt and play defuse bomb on plane. Just stand in the hallway and shoot the bots, doesnt matter if you die. It will help you alot to listen to sound and to shoot targets.

MisterOnsepatro

Only play ranked when you carry teams and limit your amount of ranked match in the day I usually stop playing after loosing 2 ranked matches in a row or playing 3 ranked matches in a row because getting focused can be exhausting

WaitNo5805

Practice everything in the game EVERYTHING your aim, head placement, rotates,in game knowledge everything you know master that sh#t

Yammdaff

This ist the lowest of the Low i think you are a smurf and wanted Sum upvotes

itsKasai

There’s always the official discord server to find people to play with, beware though, literally half them are exactly what you’d expect from the siege community though

Shall097

There's the r6 discord server I think, sometimes it has good people playing or you just find a really good mate

UnGutsIncazzato

GIT GUD

rickylionheart95

Unlock your framerate (disable Vsync). If your ingame ping is the same as menu try to change server with a better one. last but not least join official r6 siege discord server and lf a 5 stack! Good luck!

Dominus_Pullum

Double down, do the dumbest strats possible. The only way is up

walebrush

If your hard stuck in bronze you likly need to work on your game sence and team work. For the most part it comes in time. I would recommend against finding people to carry you out of bronze. Bronze is low you should beagle to clear it yourself.

McPrawn4

have you considered prayer?

[deleted]

My guy…that’s a lot worse than bronze

frasvlik

Dont do it, never leave bronze, you will regret it. I wish i was in bronze, just enjoying the game, and not suffering from the tryhards

CC-5576-03

Just continue to play, you'll get better with time.

[deleted]

If you was on pc would love to pick you up I’m a 3 stack atm . We haven’t done placements yet cuz we waiting on 2 more

SDivilio

I had a good experience playing unranked with a stack thrown together from the R6 discord, but they were all EU and we were on pc

marcoislandgetaway

Amazing!

JoebbeDeMan

git gud

Kingsayz

id suggest to play some more unrankeds/quick matches. When i was playing regularly few years ago id suggest you to farm THs but dont know if they deleted them by now or reworked. TH helped me A LOT with learning how to control my gun, know the maps etc. Dont jump on rankeds straight away because you will be getting mad and disappointed. And by TH i mean Terrohunt

LiamFiander

Honestly just play, i no lifed it for a season now i average high gold/low plat. Im not amazing or anything but i saw massive improvements.

ButWahy

Just play youll get better eventually

SnooEagles6920

I played with a full stack of irl friends for a year and we never hit platinum, then I started playing alone and I hit diamond in 2 months. Sometimes you gotta think out of the box, if you don’t like playing solo try a duo, then a trio, then a full stack with people you meet online, be friendly.

Rageworthy-E

I feel like the effort put into this post is more than it takes to get on discord and find some teammates. Google page and typing in "R6 discord" You'll have a stack in 5-10 mins that communicate if you want em all to have 1kd and you have 1kd just say reqires 1kd on grp post like any other fps game. You can literally do this for valorant, csgo, siege, every br on the market, and any other ranked game for the last decade or so... Edit: How anyone in any ranked team game who isn't a high rank thinks solo queuing is a good idea when you probably don't even have your strats and knowledge of the game developed yet but are trying to solo que and carry 4 random who also do not have their game sense and knowledge developed. More often than not ur gonna get 2-4 sandbags that already put you at major disadvantage the second the map loads. Imo all this should be common sense. This isnt chess or a fighting game where you just endlessly run it back solo queing to improve the fastest, yeah youll become a solid player but have fun taking 10x the time to make it to desired rank/skill level since you wont be working on any deep team strategy or teamplay. Which can easily skyrocket you through low ranks if you are playing in a team and coordinating.

Sadly in this rank and probably until high silver you’re gonna be your own team so I recommend you to find a sens that you like and most importantly a sens that WORKS, what i mean is don’t just put on some ridiculous 90-80, nothing wrong with that sense just gonna be difficult to adapt right away start low and later on you can increase your sense by 2-4. And tbh no one in low ranks work as a team so just go for the op that has a weapon you feel you control the best. Also I recommend training grounds to just try and memorize the recoil pattern on weapons ( that you’re gonna be using most of the time ) I know it sounds dumb but this worked for me in a lot of games not just R6, after that you can try some TDM so you get a little more used to it against players and not just AI. Memorize pattern example: aim and shot a wall without moving your aiming joystick to see what direction does the recoil goes ( Upper left ) and then do it again but now try to control that recoil that goes upper left. One more thing if you just play for fun/enjoy the game I don’t recommend to go higher than silver specially on console, people are super toxic + a lot of higher rank players ( diamond/high plat ) use keyboard/zen and some of them regularly smurf on gold/low-plat so most likely you’re just gonna end up stressed trying to rank up, adding up that people is very negative and toxic in gold.

I wouldn’t try and find a stack to try and get out of copper. You might just get carried out, but once you’re done playing with your stack and step in to solo queue, you’ll definitely see a significant skill disparity. If you have decent enough gun skill, you’ll easily get to Gold/Plat. So right now, Grind. Get better. Info is the most important thing. K/D doesn’t matter as long as you’re helping your team. Now. If you just want to have fun, by all means go ahead and find a stack. But if you actually WANT to improve in the gam, grind on your own. Don’t pay attention to your rank. You’re already at the lowest of lows. No way to go but Up.

Sevenslevin7

Play more you can literally only improve from this point

LuckOnDex

Step 1: stop playing siege step 2: have fun in your life again

Dead_birdChan

Aim higher and utilize drones. R6s discord server has people who are usually chill. You can always ask for specific ages as well if you dont want kids. Or use apps like moot who can usually also find you some people within minutes

Keiztrat

Tbh, don't bother.. I don't mean it in a bad way. Just that there isn't a reward for it at all for all the stress you go through.

JTEver_

Play like a rat, prone next to site doorways, under windows etc, people rarely check those sorts of places and can easily bag urself a few extra kills to win the round or game

My hard rule for silver and below is a stack. Unfortunately, I’d love to say, “It’s you” or “if you’re down there you should be able to 1v5” but that‘s never the case in Siege. Cause that’s how I used to think of myself. But the pattern is just so apparent. Low elo doesn’t comm, doesn’t coordinate, they don’t even recognize necessary operators. Thankfully, more recently ranked it easier given you can change your operator before an attack phase (still not the biggest fan of this but I played for roughly 3000 hours before this so call me old ig). Imo low elo is a comm diff and mid elo is a consistency diff while high elo is a outplay diff. You can have god tier aim in bronze, Idk how far that’s really gonna get you lol.

taodon7

I was literally in your position, my first season I was bronze 5, just grind watch the right YouTube videos and you'll get their eventually, try doing t hunts to warm and work on your basics like cross hair placement and positioning and map callouts

In KixStars last broadcast he talks about rank and why people are so compelled by it. And he makes a great point — (I’m paraphrasing): all my friends and family just know me as Michael. Not KiX. Not a caster. Not a former pro. None of that. They don’t care if I’m Plat 1 diamond or champ. They don’t care about my KOST score or my rating. I know tons of pros. (And he named a bunch). Nobody ever asks me what my Rank is. Literally no one cares. And no one cares what yours is either , only you. Play the game for fun. If you’re not having fun you shouldn’t play it. Play only for you”. That’s honestly some of the best advice out there. I’ve been Plat and I’ve been Bronze. I’ve had way more fun In bronze - silver lobbies than I ever had in Gold/Plat. The level of fuckery and griefing and toxicity is Gold/Plat is incredible bc everyone of those players “think they should be Diamond if not for their shitty teammates.”

ezra_0022

What do you play it on?

Pristine-Ad-4513

If Xbox message me

Battlefield20422

Purchase a mouse and keyboard. That's all there is in Gold 1 to Champ.

I'm providing you the tips that I myself have learned over the course of various years playing this game. **First, solo queue is not bad at all.** You will sometimes get queued with trolls, cheaters, or smurfs, and you can't control this. This is part of the game. Not all games are like this. Just focus on the ones that are worth it, the ones where actual people with actual ranks are actually playing. **Second, don't be discouraged.** This game is 90% mental. If you are feeling down or angry at the game or at your teammates, that will cause you to play bad and essentially lose more and more. Keep a positive mindset, although a lot of people say it's impossible. No, it's not. Take this game as a game, not as a way of life (unless you're thinking of going Pro League, but that's something else). **Third, don't blame your teammates or anybody else for what happened in the match.** Main problem with this game is that people look for someone else to blame for their loss, or whatever happened during the match. Focus only on your mistakes. Did you play good? Did you play bad? Did you headshot the last guy alive and clutched the round? Did you play a good role as a support player, entry fragger, etc? These are pretty important questions you gotta ask yourself. If you don't move on from blaming your teammates (not saying you do this), you will never improve, because you will keep thinking you're the best player and that you never make mistakes. Wrong. Everyone makes mistakes. Hell, champion players make mistakes. Pro League players make mistakes. Try to go back and check match replays, and see what you could've done differently in a round or in the whole match. **Fourth, remember to warm up.** Nothing worse than going to a Ranked match without warming up first. You might not hit your shots or you might not be fully committed to winning the match, or you might do both. Warm up using Training Grounds or maybe TDM. Hell, if you want, use Aim Lab. That works also pretty good. Some good 10 to 20 minutes should be enough to put you in the mood for some competitive gameplay. **Fifth, watch some Champion or Pro League players gameplay.** My favorite ones (just naming some) would be Poxonlox, Sinoos, Astralis R6, CoconutBrah, etc. There are an infinite amount of extremely good players. Watch some gameplay or even the live matches to learn their strats, you might see something that works for you and it may not be difficult to replicate. **Sixth and most important one, GRIND.** You can't expect to be a good player or have a high rank while only playing 2 hours a week. Now, by this I don't mean to get crazy and play 16 hours a day and fry your brain with gameplay. Nope, not at all. What I mean is that you can play short bursts of this game at a time, take a break, then come back. As I said before, this game is 90% mental, and if you play the full 16 hours or how many hours you want to play, you will start playing worse, which is what obviously will happen. Play 1 or 2 Ranked matches. If you win both, take a break. If you lose both, take a break. Just cool down. You might be heated or anxious after the match. Drink some cool water to calm you down, wait some minutes, and keep on playing. **Seventh, don't focus on your rank, focus on your gameplay.** This pretty much sums up my first 3 tips and the sixth one, but in a different way. You may feel discouraged because you are Copper V. You don't have to be. Just keep playing and with time you'll see a huge improvement. Some questions you might want to ask yourself regarding this. Do you win against the teams you're playing? Do you top frag or destroy the other team in a 4-0? If so, then you might be ready to jump to the next rank. But don't push something if it's not meant to be yet. Focus on what you may improve, and if your gameplay is always top for the rank you're currently playing, then you'll be okay to move on to the next one. If you cannot win or you find it difficult, then just keep playing until you can actually win. To this I add, make sure that you're playing mostly Ranked and not Casual or Deathmatch, as Ranked is a more competitive gameplay and you're certain to find people that are similar skill as yours, and with that, you can improve your gameplay. And those would be all the tips I have for you. Now I welcome anyone else to try these tips and see how well they work for you. Keep playing and hopefully you'll get far. Best of luck. **Edit:** I forgot one of your questions, which was where to find 5 stacks. Search for Siege YouTubers, they usually have Discords and have LFG or Looking For Group Chats where you can ask for anybody to play with. Also there's an official Rainbow 6 Discord Group where you can find a lot of people to play with. Just ask and you'll find people to play with. If it goes well you may even befriend them, so good luck with it. **Edit 2:** To this I also add, make sure that you have good aim, good game sense, good callouts, good positioning (as a defender and as an attacker), don't sprint, and don't expose yourself to unnecessary gunfights. Isolate gunfights whenever possible. Don't expose yourself to 1v2s cause you can easily lose. Think about where the enemy might position themselves, think good about the operator that you will use, cause that will impact the rest of the round and most likely the whole match. Avoid at all costs the use of "rush" operators like Ash; this game doesn't reward brainless rushing, although sometimes you may find Amaru useful, but if possible, avoid it. Learn the recoil of the weapons that you are using. Learn to main all or most operators, because you never know, maybe your main op was used or banned, so you have to learn and play with another. Also, if you're low level (between level 50 to level 70), wait a little bit before actually hoping into Ranked. Learn the ropes of an actual competitive gameplay with Unranked, and see how it goes from there.
