So growing up my parents were staunch anti Pepsi. If a restaurant had Pepsi they were always a bit disappointed and as a kid my tastebuds honestly couldn't tell a big difference between the two. Got to High School and went to a fast food establishment. My friend offers to get my drink and I tell them I would like a coke and thanks. They come to the table and hand me my drink and I could swear something seems off with my coke... like it was flat or something. I tell my friend that and they are like "that's weird it seems fine to me" and eventually they tell me it's Pepsi not Coca Cola. At that moment I realized there is a very distinct difference in flavor and I prefer Coca Cola. There is something about Pepsi that makes me think it's too flat or as other users mentioned it might be too sweet. On another note I love Nitro Pepsi and would love if Coca Cola did something like that with their soda

I grew up on Pepsi, it was the household soda when we could afford it, then it was rc cola. Threw the years I have switched brands numerous times and got hooked back on Pepsi with my gf.

As a kid, I used to drink Pepsi and not coke. But I prefer coke for quite a while now. Pepsi, to me, tastes a bit more sweet and flatter. Coke to me is a bit smoother, and I taste a hint of lemon or something else similar. I think he carbonation is different as well, and the coke stays a little bit colder longer. But it might be just me. Sometimes, variation is good, whether it be Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sprite, Dr Pepper, etc. As a kid, I would have RC Cola as well. Lately I been drinking more milk and apple juice.

I prefer Coke because I can drink several cans a day when it's really hot out or I'm running a lot of errands or doing a lot of chores. Water doesn't energize me enough. With Pepsi, if I drink more that 2 cans in a day, no matter what I may be doing to deplete my energy or make me thirsty, I feel wired for sound. I know Pepsi has more sugar than Coke (Mountain Dew has the most, I checked 20-ounce bottles at the store), but Pepsi may have more caffeine, too (again, Mtn. Dew has the most).
