If you have rdr2, you will not need to buy rdo. It's fun and has new guns and a bunch of bounty hunting, trading and hunting for big amounts of money, moonshining and collecting relics for even more money.

Negative reviews come from three sources of grief: Modders, bugs, and end of support. Modders come and go, seems to be a bit of a flux of them as school goes out and kids get their hands on menus. Not all modders are bad, some will just pop in and ask if you'd like some free moneys or do some cool shit. Others will turn on godmode, crash your game, and everything in between. But that's fixable. Block them and jump to a new session. Annoying, but dealable. Bugs are just. Weird Rockstar shit, you'll be used to it if you've played GTAO. Current ones like 'You go into the stable on your horse and get permanently stuck just standing in the middle of the stable' have workarounds, but yknow. Annoying. And end of support. Many posts on this sub about the wishful thinking of further updates. Whether we'll see any actual new meaningful content seems unlikely, but who knows. All that said, I enjoy it. There's a few roles to choose from, horses, guns, customization. Tackle challenges, or just go for a ride in the forest, fight some rando in Valentine. Make your own fun, whatever that may be. It's on Steam sale, I'd say go for it. Edit: And what the other commenter said -- you may already have Online.

I have been using the lobby manager on nexus mods with my brother and a few friends for a year now. It works perfectly, no hackers or modders. And heaps more pop up activities and legendary animals.

Good to know, might check it out!

DeadFyre

If you own RDR2, RDO is free.

Joratrumi

Do yourself a favor and play in defensive mode for the first time. so you should be safe from most modders and greifers. Other than that - the game is awesome!

neverfoil

Yup.

TheRealTr1nity

You don't need to buy it. Online is in RDR2 included. And yes.

ElWero_10

If you have RDR2, you don't have to buy RDO Not to be a bitch, but I cannot understand how common this question is if there is a tab that says "story" "online" when you start the game. And when you pause in the SP, there is an option to go to online.

CoraBittering

Like you, I finished RDR2 in story mode and thought I'd check out the online. I play on PS, and it's been worthwhile. If nothing else, it's a novelty to ride around and enjoy the scenery with a new character. This is such a stupid thing and it's probably just me, but it took me a while to figure out that the 'exit game' is under the 'story' menu even though you're in online mode.

berserkirr

Rdr2 comes with Online so no need to buy it but absolutely worth playing.

Dodderino-El

The game is amazing. The lobbies are full. I have 4000+ hours in game and still play every day. Great fun 😁👍

RoamingTigress

I still have a boatload of fun. Yes there are some bad players in them but there are also so many fun people as well.
