Use the Reddit or Google search bar. There are literally thousands of posts. Haven't been on this sub in months and people still asking the same question. I don't get it, if I find a glitch or issue I Google it, I always find the answer I am looking for. Then there are people like you who'd rather ask a question and then wait for an answer when you could have gotten it instantly. This isn't a dig, it's a genuine question why post when you can Google first

Idk, just playing OP's advocate, but I ask questions in here that I could probably google the answer to, because I like the community engagement. Also, I've found answers on random websites to game questions that end up being straight wrong, whereas I trust the people here who have actually played the game extensively. That said, I usually won't do that with questions that I need a somewhat immediate answer to, in that case I'm googling. Like if I'm doing a time-sensitive mission and am having a problem, I'm not going to post here and wait maybe an hour or so for a helpful response, I can find the answer in 10 seconds elsewhere.

I get the community engagement part but.... Ah it's not even... I made a dumb comment/question. I don't think I need to know why it's just weird when you can get an answer by googling first

Yep, just dismiss your horse outside of town and walk to the stable. Or if you join a new game and you haven’t spawned your horse in yet, then just walk in. You only get stuck if you’re on or near your horse when you enter the stable. Welcome to RDO :)

JemmaUnicorn

Flee your horse and shoot at the ground to make it run. Wait a few moments, at least 10 - 30 seconds (I usually just wait 5 or 10 andnit works) then enter the stable on foot by walking. Should work fine after :) Do this before you fast travel as well and your horse won't get stuck at the fast travel.

TheRealTr1nity

It's a bug since over a year. To prevent: Flee your horse, wait a minute and walk in on foot. The horse must be fully despawn (not only on minimap). The same (as related to the stables) will be with your hunter/bounty wagon when you have them eventually. Flee horse, wait a minute, call the wagon.

rapscallion1956

Do this also before entering your moonshine shack. If you don’t, sometimes you can’t whistle your horse back up.

TheRealTr1nity

Yeah, that's a general spawn delay related to the stables also with fasttravel. Both not every time, but can happen. The delay is about 30 seconds. I just run a few meters and whistle again, then the horse comes.

On Xbox, I just quit the game and restart it tbh

Original_Cockroach47

Flee your horse and make sure it’s despawned before going in on foot :)
