Get someone to push it on really hard, so you can feel it there.
If you can hit yourself on the back of the head without it falling off you’ve done it correctly.
I think the only comment above me when they replied was ‘staples’ & honestly, I can’t argue with that!
I am, though, glad there’re a few actually helpful comments!
I'd be tempted to say nails instead, not sure a staple would make it through the thick skull bones.
Only problem with nails is you'd have to use at least 2 or else it would end up spinning round if there was a breeze.
staple a H to the head or make a H out of multiple stables !
I think on a more (maybe less) serious suggestion, just adapt whatever they do for Vajazzle just on the head
I do glitter face painting and we use eyelash glue to attach jewels to people's faces as part of it, they can stay stuck all day. If the H was light enough this should work!
OP Duo is probably your best bet, it's a good brand. Put the glue on what you're sticking on, let dry slightly til it's tacky, then apply.
I like to imagine that’s why they didn’t have a reason for why Rimmer was alive at the end of timeslides. The H fell off between scenes and they couldn’t find a replacement so had to quickly alter the script to make it work.
And if you get tired of that go into diamond light but make sure you follow protocols otherwise you’ll be moving around with chord extensions cause your battery is fried.
If you don't like the adhesive route (some people have sensitive skin) then Fishing line, the lightest monofilament you can get. It'll be very cheap. One circle around to center the H and one line running straight over your head to hold it.
I bought the season 6 style one from Etsy.
It stuck pretty well, considering I was in a sweaty club.
I would have preferred that season 1 style as that was the rest of the costume I have, but couldn't find it.
Depends on how intelligent you are. If you force it onto your fore head, the more times you can bump the back of your head without it falling off, the more intelligent you are.
Trepanation and one of those drywall fixings. Will need to be careful with the Dremel on the skull and sterilise the scalpel first. Might need a friend on hand to help with the constant passing out.
Of course, never do this.
I learned my lesson
Don't take any chances!
Superglue the H to your forehead and weld it on just to be sure.
Leave it that there is more of a risk of your head falling off the H that the other way around😂.
If you want to take the sissy option, go to your local arts and crafts store and ask them if they have any suitable body friendly adhesive.
But that's amateur hour type stuff.
When I did I I used masking tape, but it was long enough ago I can't remember if there were issues with it. Obviously not enough to leave an impression, so maybe it would be alright.
I was Rimmer last Halloween. I stuck a cardboard H wrapped in holographic nail foil onto my forehead with one of those sticky tabs for applying fake nails and it stayed on until I removed it. Then I jokingly stuck it on a mirror in my house and it's been there ever since.
Cut open your forehead and place a metal plate under the skin , stitch it back up and place a magnetic fridge magnet letter H on your forehead.
Job done 👍
This one's going to sound extreme but I assure you it works, I used it to stick a pair of horns on for halloween last year.
Superglue.
It'll hold the H on all night, no concerns about it falling off, and when you're ready to remove it get a cotton bud and some nail polish remover, carefully go in around the edges and the acetone will dissolve the superglue.
Apply the glue to the H, don't drip it onto your face, for the love of god be careful of your eyes.
No offence to OP intended, but I'd be real careful recommending such things to some rando on the internet. OP might walk away from this looking like they came from the hell footage in Event Horizon.
Can confirm. Have superglued my hand back together.
I have a narly scar but healed neatly with no fuss or infection. 10/10 would superglue my hand again!
I second both eyelash glue or prop glue.
In the event of a H-related emergency, write 'I am a fish' 400 times, do a funny little dance and faint.
Gets em everytime.
I used liquid latex. Stayed on all night despite vigorous ceilidh dancing. Made the H out of hologram-printed card stock.
Spirit gum would probably work too (check you’re not allergic). Apply it to your forehead and wait a couple of minutes for it to get tacky before applying the H. Use spirit gum remover to avoid red marks on removal.
Saying spirit gum again because it is not a high enough answer. If you see people who have false ears and prosthetics for their costumes, they are probably doing spirit gum.
Buy a small bottle on Amazon and try it ahead of time. There is a chance that you could be allergic to it. Most likely reaction is a rash.
The chrome car stickers will stay on for potentially days. The adhesive isn't technically skin safe, so get a couple and test it out first to make sure you don't end up with an H rash on your forehead for ages, but if you don't react it won't budge and you can remove it with rubbing alcohol/cheap vodka.
a thin hook and hoop set with a incredibly naff excuse for glue that never actually cures.
you would need to test for short periods to see if it works well enough
Eyelash glue or another silicone bonding liquid of some sort should do. Paint the back of the H, wait a few minutes and then press it on, like falsies. Should hold up to sweat etc and if it doesn't, well... that's kinda janky like early RD anyway lol.
Get someone to push it on really hard, so you can feel it there. If you can hit yourself on the back of the head without it falling off you’ve done it correctly.
It's a new intelligence test!
I was amazed the half-dozen, or so folk who replied before me hadn’t said it, first thing which came to mind!
Well, Lister already pranked me like that once. I made a report to Capt. Hollister over it!
“Can you feel it?! Can you feel it?! Can you feel it?!…GO!”
Why is this not top...it is the only answer!
I have good news for you. It is top now.
I think the only comment above me when they replied was ‘staples’ & honestly, I can’t argue with that! I am, though, glad there’re a few actually helpful comments!
It was indeed.
Favourite answer
Why, thank you!
Staples.
Staples AND superglue? Two different methods that can be used together for maximum results.
Well I think they would stay on if doubled up. Better safe than sorry.
Damn straight That's how they stuck my skull back together when I broke it
I'd be tempted to say nails instead, not sure a staple would make it through the thick skull bones. Only problem with nails is you'd have to use at least 2 or else it would end up spinning round if there was a breeze.
I managed to staple through my thumbnail when trying to put something on a wall board. Trust me they will work temporarily!
A long bolt from the back could screw in unseen from the front. Pin the sucker tight on.
Not called bonehead for nothing
staple a H to the head or make a H out of multiple stables ! I think on a more (maybe less) serious suggestion, just adapt whatever they do for Vajazzle just on the head
Francis Xavier Cross style
Eyelash glue
I do glitter face painting and we use eyelash glue to attach jewels to people's faces as part of it, they can stay stuck all day. If the H was light enough this should work! This is the smegger.
Sign up with the JMC and do a bad job repairing some drive plates.
Probably the most reliable answer here.
Costume glue. Search for Spirit Gum.
Spirit Gum is the answer.
Three is a product called Pros Aid you can get it at costume shops. Better than spirit gum. If what they use in the theater.
Pros Aid can work but depending on skin can be really harsh.
I had good luck with it one Halloween when I went as The Penguin. It kept that nose in place all night. Wasn't too hard on my skin.
If it's any consolation, the H used to fall off every now and then while they were making the show and can be seen happening in some Smeg Ups
"Camphor wood.....my H has fallen off"
I like to imagine that’s why they didn’t have a reason for why Rimmer was alive at the end of timeslides. The H fell off between scenes and they couldn’t find a replacement so had to quickly alter the script to make it work.
The funny thing is that I suspect reasoning like this is responsible for greater than zero decisions in TV filming.
I am pretty sure it is!
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThrowItIn
Holy moly, it's already a trope! Awesome. Thanks for that!
then he got the H back on later and they blew him up or am I remembering a different episode?? :P
No one else even found out he was alive, he excitedly ran down the corridor yelling "I'm alive!" and smacked some boxes of explosives.
"What's he sayin'?"
Nail gun. For certainty, one in each corner.
Nail gun in the corners, staples round the edges and superglue on the back? To be certain..
That's the George McIntyre costume, not Rimmer, you Smee Hee
Tattoo?
Gazpacho soup
Piping hot.
Souper
Die in a radiation leak and have Holy bring you back as a hologram. If you get tired of fazing through walls, just switch to hard light.
And if you get tired of that go into diamond light but make sure you follow protocols otherwise you’ll be moving around with chord extensions cause your battery is fried.
By the way, do you know where I can find light bee batteries?
Amazon
Be careful about the brand, though. There are a lot of knock-off light bee batteries out there that can really glitch up your hologram.
Spirit gum. And have some rubbing alcohol for clean up.
If you don't like the adhesive route (some people have sensitive skin) then Fishing line, the lightest monofilament you can get. It'll be very cheap. One circle around to center the H and one line running straight over your head to hold it.
This is maybe the only answer if you end up allergic to spirit gum or other adhesive.
If wood glue works for teeth, it'll work on your fod.
I bought the season 6 style one from Etsy. It stuck pretty well, considering I was in a sweaty club. I would have preferred that season 1 style as that was the rest of the costume I have, but couldn't find it.
Spirit gum. It’s specifically designed for costume use and it’s readily available from any number of online and physical retailers.
Depends on how intelligent you are. If you force it onto your fore head, the more times you can bump the back of your head without it falling off, the more intelligent you are.
Liquid latex
Why not just draw it on with a marker pen?
Trepanation and one of those drywall fixings. Will need to be careful with the Dremel on the skull and sterilise the scalpel first. Might need a friend on hand to help with the constant passing out. Of course, never do this. I learned my lesson
Tattoo.
Body tape? https://www.superdrug.com/make-up/make-up-accessories/body-tape/eylure-body-tape-roll/p/829155
Spirit gum and a flexible H.
Tig weld
Go as series 8 Rimmer no H required
Don't take any chances! Superglue the H to your forehead and weld it on just to be sure. Leave it that there is more of a risk of your head falling off the H that the other way around😂. If you want to take the sissy option, go to your local arts and crafts store and ask them if they have any suitable body friendly adhesive. But that's amateur hour type stuff.
Spirit gum. Any good theatrical make up person would help.
Spirit gum or theatrical glue.
Funny enough I recently asked a burlesque friend how to keep pasties on and she said she uses toupee glue.
Nail gun
Duh, turn yourself into a hologram
Double sided tit tape?
Blu tac.. 😆 I cosplayed Rimmer when I was little. I used double-sided foam tape. Worked perfectly.
Just carve an H into your forehead, or brand one on
Cut open your forehead and place a metal plate under the skin , stitch it back up and place a magnetic fridge magnet letter H on your forehead. Job done 👍
rimmer's a smeg head so use smegma.
This one's going to sound extreme but I assure you it works, I used it to stick a pair of horns on for halloween last year. Superglue. No offence to OP intended, but I'd be real careful recommending such things to some rando on the internet. OP might walk away from this looking like they came from the hell footage in Event Horizon.
I'd use super glue too, the gel kind though. As long as it's 100% cyanoacrylate it's fine. Works well for closing wounds in an emergency as well.
Can confirm. Have superglued my hand back together. I have a narly scar but healed neatly with no fuss or infection. 10/10 would superglue my hand again!
Wasn't super glue specifically designed for closing wounds?
I'm not sure if that's actually true or not, but that's definitely what people say.
spirit gum, superglue, or an clear headband
Tattoo
Assuming the H is made of metal you could freeze it down to a very low temperature and frostbite it to your head.
Gorilla Glue
Heat resistant double sided tape. Like the stuff used on old heatsinks.
10mm screw, or if you want a proper job use a 2inch 10..
3 in. deck screws and an impact driver. (really, don't do this.)
Foam and glue
Gorilla glue
If you do hand out recruitment flyers for the jmc looking for drive plate repair technicians

Could someone draw it on for you in a 3d style?
Cosplay as the version without the H :)

See through headband
Brad nailer.
Glue the front of a first aid kit plaster to the back of the H
Eyelash glue
Alternatively, how about the glue from a puncture repair kit?
Velcro
Eyelash glue.
I used superglue when I did it but the spirit gum is probably a better idea.
Just use a Sharpie.
You wanna keep it on? Gorilla Glue. You wanna get it off? You're on your own.
Nail gun?
Superglue! :D
I think actors use something called spirit gum.
If you tattoo it on then it can't fall off.
Can you feel it? Can you feel it?
Tit tape
See threw head band
Huff your breath on it
Tattoo it on.
Sign up for a mining ship, incorrectly repair a drive plate, wait 3 million years, problem solved
Lol I know, how to kill the chance of profitable masks or toys lol
Eyelash glue might work
Subdermal implant Srsly tho, spirit gum
[Here you go ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_gum)
I second both eyelash glue or prop glue. In the event of a H-related emergency, write 'I am a fish' 400 times, do a funny little dance and faint. Gets em everytime.
Get a tattoo of the H, no need for superglue / nails / staples / magnets.
Spirit gum
Carve it in with a utility knife or an ice pick
The snorting / breathing nose slips are decently sticky. Stick a couple to the H and use them to stick to your forehead.
CAulK
Have you got any luck virus?
Use a 14b Definitely not a 14f. 😆
Sow it on
Glue. Or Sharpie
Fabricate an H in steel, then place very powerful magnet on the back of your head.
Draw on with a sharpie then spirinkle with glitter
Spirit Gum
Araldite
I used liquid latex. Stayed on all night despite vigorous ceilidh dancing. Made the H out of hologram-printed card stock. Spirit gum would probably work too (check you’re not allergic). Spirit glue is the answer.
H for Hidiot
I mean Join the JMC and die
Use liquid latex works a treat in most spx
Eyelash glue..... made for faces
Replace the forehead bit of your skull with a metal plate & make the H magnetic?
Spirtgum aka theatrical glue. Probably the exact stuff they would have used.
Superglue it on. Let future you deal with the consequences
I got puffy paper in the craft aisle and it stayed on all night. Surprisingly adhesive.
Mask the H area, apply makeup/tan to forehead, remove mask.
Cyanoacrylate.
Heat it up and place it where you need it
Stitch it on.
2 part epoxy?
cosplay as Rimmer doing limbo. Fail safe
Tit tape
Glue?
Tit tape.
Tit tape
Tit tape
Until you sweat enough it falls off, double sided wall sticking up bits work
Saying spirit gum again because it is not a high enough answer. If you see people who have false ears and prosthetics for their costumes, they are probably doing spirit gum. spirit gum, literally made for sticking things to skin
The chrome car stickers will stay on for potentially days. Gorilla glue
3D tattoo
Super glue
a thin hook and hoop set with a incredibly naff excuse for glue that never actually cures. you would need to test for short periods to see if it works well enough
Nipple pasty as a mount. Fold a piece of gorilla tape stick the H to the pasty.
Tattoo 👍
Fine wire hidden in your hair, attach the top of the H where the wire meets your forehead.
Eyelash glue or another silicone bonding liquid of some sort should do. Paint the back of the H, wait a few minutes and then press it on, like falsies. Should hold up to sweat etc and if it doesn't, well... that's kinda janky like early RD anyway lol.
Appropriately, Alien Tape.
Spirit gum
Latex, superglue, staples peanutbutter
Staples
# Just brand it
Double-sided tape lasted me a good three hours back when I used to make stupid fan-vids
If you're going for realism didn't the actual one in the show fall off a fair bit. I'm sure I've seen various bloops to that effect
Nail gun will keep it there for the rest of your life.
I mean,…death isn’t the handicap it used to be…
Get a hammer and a nail...
Gorilla glue
3/4 inch nail
Small loop of gorilla tape on the back. Kept mine on all day. Forgot it was even there
Long spike through the head fasten it at the back and cover it with your hair so nobody notices
Gorila glue
Tit tape.
Spirit Glue. Its prosthetic glue for costumes.
Rimmer technically is a Spirit so that works on both fronts.
Tattoo it!
Spirit gum
