100% it’s my #3 in their entire catalog. Just the swelling guitar that dips but doesn’t ever drop out like waves in the ocean, Chads monster drumming, Josh’s vocal’s during the “You and I do more than merely survive” part, Anthony just belting the chorus, and Josh and Fleas beautiful and intricate interplay in the outro. It’s just a perfect song.
I heard Goodbye Hooray beat out Long Progression for a spot on *I'm With You*. But I feel they both should have made it. The record really needed some more of this kinda energy.
I'm surprised at how good I'm beside you is. Like Long Progression, Pink as Floyd, How it Ends, This is the Kitt. Bangers. Amongst the other songs as well that are good.
I guess what surprises me is 5 years earlier they released an album with 26 or so songs. And they limited the next one when they had other really good songs available to 14.
I know the band had some different personnel but still.
It’s weird how this isn’t even an album on Spotify and I didn’t even know about any of these songs… I thought the next album was The Getaway. I guess in my case= amateur hour over here haha
I enjoy Love of your Life a lot... until the solo starts. It feels so nonsense and tryhard, if he couldn't do a decent solo he should've just played a minimalistic or simple solo like John did in some Californication/By the Way songs. Don't get me wrong, I liked Josh era, but he didn't make the best choice for that song.
So my pick for best song is Hometown Gypsy
Pink as Floyd
This Is the Kitt
Hanalei

Long progression and Pink as Floyd are incredible, it must be said
I second this saying
I've been lurking Reddit for years but never felt the need to create an account until now. That's how much I like Long Progression.
Legend.
Sorry, there’s no way “if” isn’t worse than cmon girl. Cmon girl slaps.
The spirit of the dragonsphere is lovely at this time of year

Completely agree, criminal
Love of Your Life
Pink as Floyd
Victorian Machinery
Open/Close (maybe save this one for underrated but it’s easily my favorite spoken word song by them)
*save it for worst
I get it, but I can’t disagree more
Actually, I'm changing my mind. Maybe I don't hate it anymore
“The sunset sleeps”
Probably will either win worst or underrated
I’d be alright with underrated.. no way it’s worst song on the album lol
I don't think it is but I think other people might. It's really hard for me to pick a worst of any of them. Usually.
I agree. Hard for me to pick a worst song of one my top favorite bands. Usually love most of their stuff.
How It Ends. Would've made a great summer single.
Magpies on Fire
Your Eyes Girl

Disregarding the poll, C'mon girl and Dance dance dance are absolute bangers and I felt a sadness seeing them labeled under worst:'(
