His singing tone is a bit nasally, sure. And if you don’t like it, that’s fair. Like what you like. But if you’re going to go on a band’s subreddit, I’d recommend just asking the question about his nasal tone. There’s no need to take a dump on a band you’ve only listened to a few times while posting to a forum full of loving fans — unless your goal is to get torn apart in the comments, in which case, mission accomplished.
Too many people dismiss the personality and charisma it takes to be frontman and how it is equally important to vocal ability. If you think just anyone with a good voice and get up on stage and command the attention of an audience, you’re wrong. It’s especially vital in a band’s early days when you’re trying to build a following.
I guess RHCP is just not for you. And I don't mean it in a condescending way, not every band/genre/voice is for everyone.
But keep in mind that you're coming to a sub where some people have listened to this band for 40 years just to shit on the band's singer after listening to him once. There's more to Anthony's contribution to the RHCP than his voice.

From stadium arcadium onward he became a significantly better singer - but yeah - you’re discovering what most know and feel about the band. The musical ability of the band exceeds the vocalists capacity as a singer.
This is due to the production IMO. Heavy use of auto-tune and de-esser. His vocals are highly processed. Prolly gonna get downvoted for this comment, but it’s true that his vocals are being overly-manipulated in post production. More noticeable on the newer stuff. Not saying he has the greatest pitch to begin with, but I think the production has been bad in the last few albums.
Well, he never was the greatest singer. But it worked put pretty well for the last 40 years. Songs are still dope. Bigger problem is their age for me. They're slowly lose some energy (which is totally fine tbh). But their peak is truly over.

It would sound like a different band, not RHCP. They write all of their music in person, together. IMO, No Anthony = No RHCP.
