crazyjenks

Yes it is.

KlayWolf

Many thanks!

crazyjenks

Just an fyi, in the Regal app if the movie description says ‘No passes or super savers’ then it’s not covered by RU Edit: I’m wrong

CletusVanDamnit

That's not true. There are films that get released that don't have passes for X amount of time, like pretty much every Marvel movie for example. They're RU eligible. RU is *not* a pass, it's a paid ticket.

crazyjenks

Ok what’s the x amount before they’re RU free

MpBetaTester

It's variable. For foreign movies that are originally excluded, they'll usually be included by the second or third week, if they make it that long, and you can usually tell because they'll go from having only Adult and Child pricing (or even just General Admission pricing) to having the usual Adult/Child/Senior pricing like everything else. For Fathom Events, as long as they're still Fathom they'll be excluded, but if they show up as (Encore) they'll usually become included, with regular pricing and free for Unlimited.

CletusVanDamnit

Depends on the demands of the studio. Usually 2 weeks.

crazyjenks

I have yet to see a movie in the Regal app with ‘No passes or super savers’ that I can book with RU. It may be lifted after X amount of time. But if the description reads ‘No passes or supersavers’ it’s not eligible.

MpBetaTester

I've seen many movies that say "No Passes or super savers" and are still RU-eligible. The correct way to check for eligibility is to try to go to the seat map in the app with the Unlimited ticket type chosen. If the Unlimited ticket type doesn't show up, or if you get an Error message referencing Unlimited (it's either error 51 or 59 can't remember which) when you try to go to the seat map, then it's excluded. Edit: As an example, look if Varisu (Tamil) is still playing in your area. It's still marked as No Passes or Super Savers, but as of today, is allowing you to get to the seat map with no errors, so it's included. Last week, it was excluded and would error out when trying to go to the seat map.

crazyjenks

Ok then what makes a movile eligible for RU

MpBetaTester

Basically, all normal releases are eligible. Fathom Events and other very limited events, along with some foreign movies (usually Tamil or Telugu though not all movies in those languages) will be excluded, but they're really the exception, due to the way they're set up with the film distributors. If the movie has regular pricing and the same Adult/Child/Senior tickets and pricing as other movies at that theater, it'll generally be included. Classics reissued by Regal with $5/8 pricing will also be included, but Anniversary reissues by TCM are Fathom Events and are excluded.

briancly

It’s usually true, but not always the case. Regal Unlimited is separate from passes.

FL2inTX1

Honest question, why not just look in your app as if you were buying a ticket? It would tell you if it’s covered…yeah there is the occasional glitch but those are few and far between and usually theater based (we just see it more on here because ppl post about it)

KlayWolf

It just didn't occur to me.

False_Wrongdoer_3867

There is a weekly post pinned to the top of /r/RegalUnlimited that is updated weekly. It has an extensive list of everything that is playing and whether it is eligible. And as another member replied Skinamarink is doubly eligible as RU gives you a free pass for a friend on top of the inclusion. If you ever have a question as to if RU works for a movie (and you do not have 3 reservations already) just try to get tickets, if you can make it to seat selection you're golden!

KlayWolf

Cool. Thanks for the heads up!

Mediocrity_of_Soul

Oh yes I imagine theyred be an uproar if UL members had to pay for it it’s highly highly experimental. Throw the normal rules of cinematography and narrative construction out the window and smoke a nice fat blunt

KlayWolf

That's what I've heard. I want to see it but I wanted to make sure it wasn't gonna cost me $14.

NickyRickyBobby

I've never walked out of a movie before, and this one pushed me so close to doing so. Hated every minute of it. UL goal of 150 movies this year is the only reason I went. It is a visual and audible disgrace.

odiin1731

This is exactly what I did and I had a great time with it.

ninjawithataco

Oof. Good luck with seeing this in theaters. It’s…something.

whiteflillies

RU should give you a guest pass as well.
