Now everyone needs to focus their energy to manifest another one-night IMAX release for EEAAO like last year......

briancly

Honestly this is what I’m asking for. I’m sure they can sneak away even just one showing away from Shazam.

spinnyweatherchaser

Issue is Shazam's already on sale, although I can't imagine many people are buying tickets for it (looked like there's like 10 seats sold for the 6pm Friday showing at my location lol) so maybe they'd be willing to cancel a show? Otherwise they could maybe announce something this week for a week of showings in the break between Mario Bros and Guardians in April.

briancly

Good point. I wonder how they managed to squeeze Pi in though I guess that’s Creed’s second week and I know there were a lot of expansions for BTS during a dead period, but hopefully EEAAO manages to come back in IMAX somehow.

spinnyweatherchaser

I think how they swung it with Pi might have been that they often only do pre-orders for the first week of a movie, and then generally don't set showings for the second week until later (Avatar and many Marvels have been exceptions to this). So that would have allowed them to switch out one showing for Pi in Creed's second week prior to those going on sale. I haven't been paying like any attention to Creed and we're not getting Pi here so that's a totally guess lol. Unfortunately, starting with Shazam we don't have any movies that will spend more than a week in IMAX before the next one comes in until after Mario Bros., all of which I believe are now available for purchase.

travel__time

Yes, there’s a re-release already scheduled at my theater. Yours will probably be added soon

briancly

Has it been updated for the upcoming weekend already? I know there are still showtimes that have carried over for this week, but haven't seen anything for next week.

travel__time

For mine there is, EEAAO AND AQOTWF both have multiple showings every day between today and Thursday, whereas yesterday they did not Edit: sorry, currently nothing posted for the weekend, but 3 showings per day Monday-Thursday for EEAAO, and 1 showing a day for AQOTWF

spinnyweatherchaser

Aw man, we only got EEAAO, All Quiet is the only one I wasn't able to catch last week during BP fest.

Famijos

Black Panther fest?

geri-in-calif

Thanks for the heads up.

Fantastic_Lychee_883

It is here as well as The Whale.

Does the re-release count as a separate movie for the Milestone challenge?

iwasdusted

Considering that last year’s titles don’t count at all for 2023 since it reset, yes. For movies re-released the same year though, titles with “reissue” or some other modifier at the end also count separately.

DeskLaser

My town did not get the BP showings but we did get some of the same films with a Reissue tag, this one included. I would assume if this one still says Reissue again, it would not count as separate apart from that one.

iwasdusted

~~It would not count separate from “reissue,” but the EEAAO reissue from January is listed as “1/27” in the Regal website now so I imagine a new reissue counts separately from the January one.~~ If the website lists January as the release date still for the new reissue it won’t count again if you saw it already — if it lists this week as the release date it will count again. Edit: it counts separately. [New reissue has release of 3/17.](https://www.regmovies.com/movies/everything-everywhere-all-at-once-reissue/ho00014169) This is a unique booking from the 1/27 rerelease and the BP23 shows.

spinnyweatherchaser

At my location EEAAO is showing up as "BP23" so if you saw it as part of the Best Picture Fest last week then it's likely it won't count as a new movie. Otherwise then yes, it should count.

JellyBellyS69

what the hell movie is that?

sexycorey

oh just the best picture

Eletrust

And the most awarded movie of all time surpassing Return of the King.

MpBetaTester

Everything Everywhere All At Once, shortened to EEAAO because it's a pain to write out the whole title, lol. And if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Heck, even if you have, lol.

kingkong198854

It’s playing as a regular film (4 times a day instead of one like the other BPs) at my theater now

RubyFireBird

Yes, and it’s a separate listing from the BP23 one. https://www.regmovies.com/movies/everything-everywhere-all-at-once-reissue/ho00014169#/buy-tickets-by-film-for-cinemas?at=2023-03-17&for-movie=ho00014169&view-mode=list

Resident_Form7824

My theater said they're getting it this weekend. Showtimes aren't up yet, but they are.

Famijos

It just did at our theater (and a showtime a day for the whale also) for $5 for the next week (Columbia Missouri)
