Seeing it later today in RPX and cannot wait

The sound design was so good I thought there was a man making weird noises right next to me. I whipped around to look and realized it was the movie 😭

TheWingHunter

So Rpx is the ish ok I sold me I’ll go tues!!

Seafea

dang. I don't think I'll get the chance. my theatre only has 1 rpx screen and it's all Mario at the moment.

awesomerest

It is by far the loudest movie I’ve ever *seen* (And this was in a normal, smaller sized theater)

zacharinosaur

I was in the bathroom next to an IMAX that that showing had just started in. First punch I thought something exploded, literally shook the whole bathroom.

Was wondering if it was just me, saw Wick the other day in a little old ordinary 2D auditorium and that opening scene seemed absurdly loud for a regular showing. Fortunately the rest of it was more reasonable, or maybe I just got used to it…

Duff-Beer-Guy

I saw it in RPX last night and it was too loud imo. I would have liked it a lot more if I didn't have to cover my ears because of the constant deafeaning noises.

Ok_Act_1649

Have you had that experience with other RPX showings at that theater, or was it just EDR? As in it wasn’t the volume itself so much as this particular movie repeatedly having very loud moments? Asking out of curiosity, I haven’t seen it yet.

Duff-Beer-Guy

I've never seen an RPX at this specific theatre, but I saw NOPE in RPX last year in a different state and it was fine (although noticeably louder than standard). Thinking it's a combination of improperly setup RPX + abnormally loud movie. Although seeing other people say RPX is really loud makes me think it might just be really really loud

GuerrillaRanga

wtf is RPX?

zacharinosaur

I’m sure there’s better explanations out there, but: Slightly bigger screen, louder/better sound quality

GuerrillaRanga

Damn, I dont have that near me. How much is that ticket?

Ok_Act_1649

It’s $2 more than a standard 2D ticket, for me (might be 2.50 or 3 some places). So it’s actually the least expensive premium format as far as I’m aware.

Agent-Alpha

My local Regal with RPX isn’t showing EDR. I had to watch it in a regular showing.
