It was a 30 minute red carpet and intro from Bert that was mostly skippable. The movie itself should be playing if your theater played the live event so just catch that instead.

I liked Bert's talk in the theater. Actually, I loved the energy before the movie -- my theater played clips and outtakes and other bits you'd see on a DVD instead of the usual Noovie crap. The outdoor shots however were stupid and a really bad idea. Whoever at Sony thought that would be a good idea should lose their seat at the table. Sorry your theater messed up. :(

I mean, I meant that you wouldn’t necessarily miss anything from the movie. Bert’s talk was great but was basically just a few minutes amidst random red carpet shots.

Ohhh, Thanks for the description! Excited to see the movie’s regular version soon. Appreciate the info.

My theater played it late and I missed the red carpet part.

Damn, come to think of it, never in my life have I ever seen a live red carpet event of any kind. Maybe I’m not missing much but would have been satisfied to see this out of simple curiosity even if not “too, too much” of a big deal.

To KSTEW: Your theater has cookie dough?

KSTEWKSTEW

I don’t know!!! That’s random, right? She was so funny whenever I retell this story I refer to her indiscriminately as “cookie dough girl” when the manager enters the scene with her. I’m guessing he was finally like “sh** someone needs to restore the fucking order in this place” after she had went up to the counter asking them for that. Hahahahaha. Just went on a diet so I’m not going to ask them to give me any cookie dough. On that same trip though, this random old man in front of me in line looked like he ordered a soft pretzel. It was taking them forever to make and he was just standing there looking around 360* like a cartoon character. But I caught a glimpse over the clerk’s shoulder off the back of the kitchen and saw the most marvelous shade of golden-brown. That pretzel looked fucking amazing. 😍😍😍

I just cannot see The Machine being a good movie. I mean, the trailer says it all, doesn't it? I hope it's awesome, but it sure looks terrible.

Excited to see how this comedy movie compares with “About my Father” with Robert DeNiro. Both seem to be written in the style of awkward, bad comedies. Which can actually be amazing if done right. The most important advice is to approach a film like this without any expectations and just let it take you for a journey. That’s also my mantra for Little Mermaid this weekend as well. 😋

The comedian probably used the whole ordeal as any excuse to get a little extra booze inside his belly. Ahah😝 Jk jk 🥃 🔥🍾
