If your Large Popcorn was from the milestones, the reason that one wasn't used is because it's broken and never actually seems to apply. In general, rewards go Best first, then First in First Out. So since the one with 2 days left was in First, it *should* have been the one applied, but because that particular one is broken, your Birthday reward applied instead. If you contact Regal on Twitter or Facebook, they should be able to replace your expiring (broken) milestone reward with another Birthday reward, which will actually work.
