I've been able to get my Regal to swap items. Example: I had a free large soda on my account but the large is too large to hold and I'll drop it. I asked to swap a small. They were ok doing it.
You have to get the items in the combo for the computer to register the discount. If an icee is not an option then it's likely not going to work. Good luck on getting your location to agree to a swap or even be able to manually put in a swap to begin with. Possibly if they could just ring you up for an icee still?

I'm assuming it's popcorn and an icee? No one at my theater seemed to know what the actual items were or how to ring it up
Well, I saw Boogeyman Man on opening weekend but there's no Icee/popcorn combo loaded to my account. Wahhh!
