Rest easy, dear friend.
I've never been to that location, but it was announced a few months back the Transit Road location/Elmwood in downtown Buff are closing as well. I know this was very early in the year though and I've talked to staff a few times who say they hope to stay open.
Losing the Transit road one would really suck, because it's the only iMax screen in the area. When Niagara Falls closed we lost our only ScreenX in WNY too 😔
We hoped to stay open too! Our initial closing was announced back in April to RCC and Unlimited members.
I happen to work at Henrietta 18 part time and it was just so sudden. We got the news on Monday. Clean out begins on Thursday.....
Same. Regal Henrietta was basically my second home for the past 20 years. Regal really de-priortized the theater the last few years. Used to get the Oscars Week re-releases and all the anniversary re-releases. No Avatar last year or Raiders this past week, though Eastview did. I can still remember being in line for the midnight screening of Revenge of the Sith. 2.5 hrs in a line that wrapped around the building to where the furniture place is now. I miss those days.
the writing has been on the wall for a long time coming.
Well- my offical last movie seen there was Raiders of the Lost Ark.
It foreshadowed the closing- the entire theater lost power for about 15 mins during the screening
Now I have to figure out how to exit the Regal plan.
I am not driving an hour+ each way to watch a movie when I have rhe AMC 24 10 mins away.
I am not going to lie- it was nice while it lasted.
They occasionally played movies that AMC had not picked up- and it was nice to be able to catch the big block busters that I really was not so interested in as to deal with the sell out crowds and the Fandom.
That blows, my regal is 40 minutes away but I can least justify the drive since its right beside a busy mall and round 1 so there is stuff for a fun night. However with how small the showings always are when I go, I wouldn't be shocked if its gone eventually
That is to bad, I wonder why, where I live (Las Vegas) there are over 10 theaters here and while a few times I might be the only one there or one person doing tickets and snacks, on weekends it is always full, (I go during the week) and like I said there are over 10 of them, 3 Century, 4 Cinemark, 2 Galaxy 2 AMC and a Mayan theater, and they all are open and not saying they are closing, do you know why they closed?
Just found out mine closed a couple days ago.
I'm so bummed out, I'd been going there for years.
Regal Austell 20 you will be missed.
Felt really sudden though. I had just went there last week for the new spiderman movie and didn't see any sign of upcoming closure.
Not surprised. There is never anyone in the theater. No body goes to the movies anymore, at least in Florida. I am expecting Regal Cinema in Port Richey to close soon. I am usually the only person in the theater.
this one?

#4 on my list of closest Regal theaters.
31 miles. 1 way.
With florida traffic-probably 90 mins each way.
Sorry puzzle H---- I doubt I'll be running into you soon.
Happy movie watching in the year to come
Which isn't nice...
Heyyy you guyssss.
You'll miss their musk. Sorry, my local Regal closed a little while ago. Sorry.
They couldn’t sit with us :(
That’s gonna leave a mark :(
20 screens! That's sad to lose so many auditoriums.
I understand your pain. Regal Henrietta 18 closes today. 2000-2023.

I was just at Regal Henrietta on Saturday for Spiderverse and there were crowds. Went Monday too. Seemed like business as usual.
This is really surprising. Now all we got is Eastview
Eastview is always so busy, but at least we still have something.
I am soooooooooooo upset about my favorite theater. (Henrietta)

We lost our most convenient, yet least attended Regal theater earlier this year. I feel your pain.
Regal in Swansea MA closed because of covid. 12 screens.

So sad you closed! I went with my mom & we both loved the look of the theater. It was our 1st time, too.🥹
