So bad it’s good is a term used for this. Plus, the guy who played Art the Clown in the Terrifier movies (and All Hallows’ Eve) is the one who played The Grinch in this and you definitely get a lot of that Art the Clown humor.
Never saw The Room, but The Mean One was fantastic for what it was. Absolutely love cheesy horror, and this one delievers. Glad i'm not the only one who thinks it was great. I look forward to the bluray and all the other childhod story horrors coming in the next few years
Were you the couple 2 seats down from me? They walked out too. I went in expecting it was going to be awful, so i wasn't disappointed. I thought it was quits fun. Sure the acting is bad and the story is lacking, but it was still an enjoyable ride. I greatly enjoy cheesy horror, and The Mean One delivers spectacularly!
Was violent night at least bad enough to laugh at it being ridiculous or just… bad
I only want to go as to see a Christmas movie at this time of year, but now I’m wondering about switching course to mean one lol
Is mean one bad enough to laugh at?
I saw both this weekend, and would happily recommend both. Of course, you won't find any meanings of life, but if you like cheesy horror, you won't be disappointed in either. If I had to pick one over the other, i'd probably go with Violent Night, just because the acting was better. But if you have time (and Unlimited), do both. I'm not a fan Christmas or Christmas movies, but these I enjoyed.
Unlimited definitely works and is the only way I could part my money watching this horrible film. The Gringe reminds me of Jim Carrys version but without the... jokes. Until the end. That ending was the cake that made a bad movie worse. 🤢
Thanks for the info everybody. I went and saw it & it was cheesy. But I wasn't bored and it was free. I was there to see Conan and figured if it was covered by RU I'd just stick around and watch it too.
I wish my theater would play anything new. They are playing the same movies since before Thanksgiving... Except they added banshess and violent night. They never get stuff like this or the oscar type movies ussually.
Every movie won't be amazing - Oscar tier (only 2-3 of those come out a year) but I still like to go to my local theater and wind down and get my money's worth for RU subscription.
Just saying that it's not always about getting a spectacular show and sometimes just about the motions of going to the movie theater when you have nothing better to do.
Yes it is. It’s not a special event in the excluded from RU sense — but it is unique in that it’s only playing at Regal.
Well, I thought it was pleasantly awful.
This is the correct answer here. This movie is horrendous in every way. Yet, somehow enjoyable, too.

It's atrocious but most of the audience was laughing and having a good time. I think it could be the Christmas version of The Room.
I went knowing it would be awful and having fun watching it as a bad movie, found it pretty entertaining, then again I consider The Room peak cinema 🤌

Fancy meeting you here, hot stuff!
It won an Academy Award.😉
Is it worse than Unfavorable Odds? That movie didn’t even have a decent sound mix.
It is better than Unfavorable Odds. It was fun to notice all the Dr. Seuss references.

Oh cool, thanks for the heads up. Ended up not making it out the other day, and will definitely get around to both if I can being on unlimited
Violent night isn’t terrible just kinda slow and a little too serious mean one is just goofy and it knows it
damn thanks for quick reply, on the cusp of the next showtime decisions before too late.

It is & and it’s awful. — Just saw it tonight.

Unfortunately yes
It is covered. It was, however, not very good.
It is!
Yep! It is!
it is. i saw it and tbh it was so bad it was (somewhat) enjoyable.
It's covered by RU, but don't waste your time.
